We stayed there last week and because of DH's mold and mildew allergies, we won't be returning. We are Hilton Honors members and I guess we were upgraded to a first floor suite that had a patio. I only saw 9 rooms that had patios, hence the upgrade. The room looked like it was in the middle of a rehab, which is good, but a lot of the room was in really bad condition. The wallpaper in the bathroom was falling off, along with the tiles on the outside of the tub. There was a LOT of water damage to the walls in the bathroom, too. (including holes) But, the tiles around the bathtub looked brand new. So did the curtains and carpet. The 2 rooms were very large and the place was immaculate! I would have asked to change rooms if it weren't for the patio and the room being so clean. Unfortunately, DH didn't tell me that the m&m was bothering him until the night before we left. I don't know how the other rooms were the same way or if they had been completely rehabbed.

Hope its in better condition when we go in February. We are staying there on the last leg of our trip. We will be doing the first 7 days at the AKL, but we got this hotel for 4 days for $100.

We don't plan to spend too much time here, since we are going to use these four days to look for houses and check the areas out at "night."

If I don't like it, I'll put a stink, since Doubletree is the same parent company as Hilton and Embassy Suites. I am pretty sure there will be some rooms availables, as they always have some extras for emergencies. I love it when they tell you they are sold out. They never do.

You should be fine. DH is very sensitive to m&m, so it hit him pretty hard. (he's the silent type. I don't think he said more than 20 sentences the entire week........some guys are just like that:rolleyes: ) The room(s) was huge! I really liked how big it was. DS could go to sleep in the bedroom watching tv and DH and I could sit in the livingroom until we were ready to go to bed. The tv in the bathroom was nice to have in the mornings when we were getting ready. We could watch headline news and catch the weather for the day. It's just a little black and white, but it was still nice to have. Like I said before, the place is immaculately clean! There was a lot of ceiling tiles in the hallway that had serious water damage, but the last day that we were there, they were replacing the ceiling going out to the pool from the mail lobby. The breakfast was alright, but it got old after 3 mornings. (that is just us, though) The only complaint that I had about it was that they need to turn the steamtable down. The biscuits and waffles (or was it french toast?) were always hard. Other than that, the food was good. All of the employees were VERY eager to help us any way they could. Even the maintenance guys were very curtious.

What is Disney's Night of Joy?

Can I book using that code even if I'm not going to it?

Also, how much is Doubletree's buffet breakfast? Is is a full American breakfast?

And what does DH stand for? Disney Husband? Dear Husband?

Yes, I'm a newbie. :)

Thanks. :)

For my DH, it means Dear Husband. If I ever called him Disney Husband, he'd have a cow. He's one of those "been there, done that" kind of guys. ;)

Sorry I can't tell you about night of joy. Try mary's site (mousesavers.com) to see if there are anyother codes out there.
