Does anyone know the amount of the resort fee for the Doubletree DTD hotel. We've stayed at other DTD hotels and know that they charge one but I can't remember how much.

Thanks! :earsgirl:

I think our fee for HRP and CY Marriott was $7 per night.

Staying there tonight. I will post Sunday night when I get home. Last minute trip up to bring my 15 yr old to a cooking class at Wolfgang Pucks. He wants to be a chef and they called Thursday to say they have a opening. I am so excited... I can't wait!

Ther was no resort fee for us. We are HHonors members I don't know if that matters. Hotel was very nice they are undergoing renovations ..no noise problems. Rooms were large ! Breakfast buffet (14.95 for adults I think child was 9.95) was very good plenty of fruit, cereal, pastries, meats, and omlette station. BTW son loved the class and even won the raffle they had !

Thanks. We are HHonors members too so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I was thinking $6-$9/day. It would be nice if there is none. We have breakfast included in our rate. It's nice to know the food is good.
Glad your DS enjoyed his class.
DH & I are going by ourselves for our second trip alone. DS is now 18, a senior in high school and has a job. He will be house and animal sitting like he did when we went in January. He's a bit jealous but with a job and a new car he's feeling better about staying home. Good lesson in responsibility. :)

I am looking at this hotel for a trip in Feb. How long would it take to drive to the parks from here? Is it in DD or further out? I like that DD and DS can sleep in seperate beds. Last trip we got 2 rooms and it was nice to have 2 bathrooms but with no codes it is $$$$ so I'm looking for other options! Thanks! We are also HHonors so the points are nice too. About how much per night should I expect to pay? Thanks

We are booked first week of January through Mousesavers for $119 per night including breakfast and a food coupon. I've seen lower rates at other times of the year. To compare we could have gotten POR for $126 with AAA and no breakfast - but they refused to book us because DD is not under 9, supposedly their requirement for trundle bed. Wasn't going to fight it, just opted for the extra space, extra tv, breakfast (with 5 adds up) etc.

It is in DTD and we have stayed down there before and the travel time to parks was minimal (we drive). Walked across to DTD for shopping and eats which was nice.

In answer to my own question, there was no resort fee on our bill. We are HH members, too, so don't know for sure if that was the reason.

Our 1 bedroom King suite was fantastic. It was nice having the seperate bed and living quarters even though it was just DH and I. Sitting on the sofa in the late evening instead of on a bed to watch TV was a very relaxing way to end the day. I always end up propped up in the bed at other hotels, because the rest of the chairs are just not comfortable. In the morning DH could close the folding doors and make coffee and watch TV while letting me get a few more minutes of shut eye after giving DS(18), at home, his wakeup call to feed the animals and get ready for school.

We added a night at POR at the end of our trip. 2 double beds. Paid more per night than DT DTD, but we did have the extra magic of the pontoon boat to DTD and back. Nice relaxing 1/2 hour ride. We had a standard view, but it wasn't of a parking lot. We had a view of a garden area. POR is a very pretty resort. Walking to the dock for the pontoon ride was nice.

We are not in the Hilton program, and were not charged a resort fee in Sept. We booked through the Mousesavers link. We had a great stay! It's hard to justify on property prices when you are getting the extra space and breakfast! We drove everywhere, never more than 10 minutes. DH way prefers driving! DD and I took a bus back from Epcot one night. We just missed one and it took almost an hour to get back from then. DH and I are booked again for our anniversary in Jan.
