We have 7 nights at the Doubletree Club - Hotwire $348.95.
Any comments - good or bad!!
Thanks ºoº

My sister and I stayed there for five nights beginning on 2/23/04. I got it from Hotwire also. Our room was clean except for the mold on the bottom of the semi sheer curtains which hung above the air conditioner unit. We didn't spend much time in the room, only to sleep and shower. It was okay for that. We thought the bathroom was small. We had two queen beds. There was only one folding luggage rack so we had to use a chair for another suitcase "holder". There was an iron and ironing board. There was also a safe which we didn't use. They charge $1.00 a day for the safe but the morning I checked out I told them we didn't use the safe so they didn't charge me. We got delicious warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in and we had two bottles of water waiting for us in the room. The staff was VERY friendly. My sister and her DH and my DH and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott, now Holiday Inn, in September at the $20.03 rate. We liked the Courtyard better than the DoubleTree Club.

I actually thought the opposite. I thought it was much nicer then the Courtyard. The Courtyard was very noisey, and our room was very run down and musty. The room at the Club Doubletree was bright and clean. We had a fridge, micro & coffee maker too. The lobby is bright, colorful, has a nice little lounge and a great business center. There is also an Au Bon Pain in the lobby.
I guess the bathroom was small but typical of a non-resort hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, they offered books and games for my kids to play with during our stay.
I think it's a great rate, well worth it.

It must depend on the room assignment. Our room at the DoubleTree did not have a fridge or a microwave. It did have a coffee maker that didn't appear very clean. We felt the room was smaller than the room we had at the Courtyard. Our room at the DoubleTree was on the pool side and the noise from the pool at 11:00 p.m. kept us from being able to get to sleep.

Our rooms at the Courtyard were very clean, seemed larger than the DoubleTree and were not musty at all. Our rooms overlooked the pool but we couldn't hear any noise in our rooms. We had a balcony at the Courtyard but not at the DoubleTree. Price being the same at both hotels, we'd choose Courtyard.
