Would like to know if the following is possible:

Use GAD voucher towards a DVC discounted Premium AP then upgrade the Premium AP to the new Premier Passport

Thanks
Debbie

Why not go direct from GAD to Premier Pass?

There is no such thing as a "DVC Discount" related to any Annual Passes (No matter what Member Services says).

There are three separate categories (or price ranges) of Annual Passes. The lowest price range is for Florida Residents. There is a higher price range for DVC Members. And the highest price range is "Tourist", which is people who do not qualify for either of the other categories.

Regular and Premium Annual Passes have the same privileges, no matter which price range they are in.

I guess I didn't think I would be able to use the GAD for the Premier Passport. In addition the difference between a "discount" and a "price range" means that I can't parlay the $125 (the difference between the 2 amounts) into a reduction in what I would pay for the Premier Passport so now I have to rethink if I really need the Premier.

Thanks for the clarification.

Right...the DVC AP is only worth it's price towards an upgrade, since it isn't like buying a discounted ticket, using, and getting the price bridging...yet another reason DVC should stop using the word "discount".

Maybe someday DVC will get us a discount on the Premier...
