Our next trip to Disney will be our first w/ two kids. Have you ever used a double umbrella stroller in Disney? Can it fit through the stroller gates at the park entrance? How hard is it to navigate around Disney w/ one?

I took a Graco side by side in 2004. It didn't go through the turnstile, but they had a gated entrance next to the turnstile that we took it through, no problem. We were also able to roll it onto the monorail.

We did have to fold it up on the buses and boats. We were staying at WL, so I had to do this often. I used a strap from a duffle bag as a carrying strap over my shoulder, as I had to hold DD2's hand.

It did not work well if I wanted to go in any shops. The doorways seemed okay but there's just no space inside the stores themselves to maneuver.

We have a double umbrella stroller and we love it. It is the Mclarean Twin Truimph and it fits through all the doorways and we had an easy time in the shops too. There were a few times in Downtown Disney that I might not have been able to fit in some areas of the shops, but I just went a different way then. They only trouble we had was when the parks closed and we took the boat back to WL a double stroller can only fit in the front of the boat, we tried to go to the back and we got stuck. We didn't have to fold up the stroller for the boat ride to WL. On the smaller boats like the one to GF you will though.

We have a double umbrella, Maclaren Twin Techno I think. Wouldn't go to WDW without it!

We are doing 2 separate Macs instead of the double. Just for convenience. The double is bulkier and it's easier to fold up a single Mac and take it on the bus.

you might want to check thier guidelines, I saw some blurb on the site about rules and they ask u NOT to bring a stroller bigger than "X"x "x" size....

Here's the info, from the official WDW FAQ site:

Q. Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the Theme Parks?

A. Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
Alcoholic beverages
Weapons of any kind
Folding chairs
Glass containers (excluding baby food jars and perfume bottles)
Pets (unless they are service animals)
In Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park (for the safety of the wildlife), balloons, straws and drink lids are not permitted.

Thank you all for your replies. I just wanted to make sure the doubles fit through that gate at the entrance to the parks and see if they could be brought into the stores.
We have a Maclaren Triumph right now. Not sure if I want to buy another one or get a double. Thinking the double might be the better bet incase one of us needs to take the kids somewhere by ourselves.
Does anyone have a stroller bag for their double umbrella type stroller???
