Has anyone stayed there recently? I won it on a SkyAuction Bid (my bid was $2 plus the $32 tax & service fee= $34 per night :) ) but I am wondering how it is. I have never stayed there, my kids have wanted to because of the "Pineapple" on the bldg. I have read the posts on Trip Advisor and they are mixed. Just wondering how it is now after the storms... how is the construction on the road near there? I needed something between Disney & Universal...this is more near Disney (ok with me) but a very easy commute to Universal, which is why I made my bid for it. My daughter is going to a concert at The House of Blues & we are doing HHN, this seemed perfect for that (especially the price) Can anyone comment on a recent stay????

Although we didn't stay there in September, we were in the area and construction won't be a problem for you. Also, the DoubleTree Club looked fine when we drove by.

My sister and I stayed there in February. Our room was clean. The only negative was the bottom of the sheer curtains had mold on them. I got the room from Hotwire for $42. The room was large and had two queen size beds which were very comfortable. My sister has since stayed in a Fairfield Inn (LBV), a Country Inn & Suites (Chicago) and another Marriott hotel (Connecticut), and she said the most comfortable bed was at DoubleTree Club. In September my DH and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites (LBV) and Pop Century and I also say the most comfortable bed was at DoubleTree Club.
