Bahaha, welcome back to the east coast! It only started cooling down here a few days ago. I'm so used to humidity that when I went to the west coast I honestly felt like someone was directing a hair dryer at me with that dry heat. Eeeesh! We're used to what we're used to, ya know?
Glad you enjoyed your dinner! It was fun reading about your NYC trip!
Oh gosh, one time I tried to watch Jersey Shore. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Let's just say... I stopped watching after like three minutes.
That's really, really sad about your Tangled phone case... but I like your new one too!![]()
Haha ugh, that heat/humidity was just groooosss. Just a reminder of what my summers in Boston were like. I will take the dry heat though any day! When I went to Vegas, it was SO hot, but I didn't mind it as much as humidity.
Glad you enjoyed my NYC trip! It definitely helped pass the time towards our Disney trips!
Jersey Shore is just so bad... yet so... good? No, no, what am I saying right now?! I can at least say I haven't watched an episode since my flight.

I still have my case, I just can't bear to throw it away!
I want to say that I love EVERYTHING about this update!
That noise? I know that noise!!! I think your description was spot on. I get it, and I want one. That Link made out of fan photos made me tear up a little; it's that kind of amazing.
Also love the Community shirt/hoodie! That store, though touristy, would be awesome to behold.
See, I didn't realize there are places that *don't* have paper placemats! I mean, Les Chefs has them, too, right? Doesn't that make the east coast really cultured?!?
Most importantly--I HAVE TO HAVE THOSE SOCK/SLIPPERS! Thank you for indulging two of my obsessions, Mickey and slippers. My husband will thank you, I'm sure.
Welp I am just elated that you enjoyed this update so much! PROOF that we'd be awesome friends in real life, juuust sayin'.
So glad you know what I'm talking about with that noise! It's a pretty awesome green shell, I won't lie. And that Link fan photo mosaic thing was awesome.
The NBC store was awesome, seriously. I could've bought so many more things in there!
Hahaha, the east coast is SO cultured, especially when "France" has these paper placemats!

GO BUY THEM RIGHT NOW! They were in the sock slipper section! The Minnie ones were pretty cute, too. I hope you are wearing them on your feet right at this moment!
Omg!!! I love your Mickey sock slippers!!!!!!!, I might just have to hop in my car and head to my Target!!! I so hope they have them here!
You must have been so happy to be home, 9 days is a long time away...I actually thought of you this past weekend, haha not stalking!! We drove thru Boston to Walpole and saw the building with the LOCK!! But, the lock wasn't on the building. My husband said, oh they must have taken it down, when I replied "my inside source tells me kids shoot bb's at it so it deflates" .he was impressed I knew that...lol
Thanks for sharing your Mini-trip with us! It was cool to read about your adventures in NY!
Ahh, did you end up getting them?! I seriously wore mine all weekend! And I plan on wearing them again this weekend! They were perfect.
9 days was a long time for me to be gone from my pups and Matt, though that's about the amount of time we spend away from our dogs when we go to Disney World.
I LOVE that you thought of me this weekend! Not stalking at all! And even better, you thought of me when you saw the LOCK building! I LOVE IT! You know what's funny? My mom totally drove past it last week and took a photo of it without the lock on and posted it on my wall.

Ok... just caught up on your last NYC posts... chock full of good info...
(I'm home in bed today... I had a small out patient surgery yesterday... no biggie but the anesthesia didn't agree with me... but all is good... down day... good tea in new owl mug-love owls..., have the first season of Community to watch on DVD...(saw already but not on DVD) so I can just marathon through it... also actually broke down and actually bought Babel on disc instead of just downloading it so I can download it all over...plus play it on the computer while on here...things could be worse...
Aw I'm sorry you're home in bed! I hope your recovery is quick! But tea, in an owl mug, WITH season 1 of Community sounds really awesome.
We were the same way with Babel! We bought it on iTunes, then purchased it on vinyl (we own a record player now and own both Mumford and Sons albums on vinyl)... And then when I'm at work I listen to it on Spotify. I'm a little obsessed.
Anyhow I had to take a couple of notes while I was reading so I could try some of these places you went to in NY...
Btw... Bryant Park has a really nice outdoor Christmas market if you're ever there during December...
I don't know if I'll ever be there in December but that sounds delightful! I love Christmas so much!
Yum for an Everything Bagel... they're so good you can eat them plain...
OMG, that bagel was seriously to die for!
I've seen the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck on the Food Network... they've either just gotten successful enough to get real estate or maybe have the truck and the shop... Wow... there are few combos that can beat vanilla, carmel, salt & chocolate...
I guess they very recently opened up the store! My friend had told me she had always visited the truck, but that now they had the actual shop. But that ice cream was delish!
Mayarhuels looks really fun---have to check out...
It's such an awesome place to get food and drinks; I HIGHLY suggest it!
Ditto- Venieros -always on the look out for a good cannoli
Oh man, I can't stop thinking about those pastries! They were SO good!
Ha Ha... coming from the Pacific Northwest... Humidity must seem hellish to you... (I've lived here my whole life and it seems hellish to me too...
Haha yes, VERY! I mean, I grew up in Boston until I moved here 7 years ago, so I know what a humid summer on the east coast is like, but I really do NOT miss it!
Rockefeller Plaza is a great place... if you ever get a chance... Top of the Rock has really great views...better imho than the Empire State Building... even though I love the ESB-it's so iconic... I feel the views are better at the Top of the Rock...
We thought about doing the Top of the Rock! I think next time I will have to check it out!
Hmmm... Have to get into the Rock store... need some shirts
Ditto Target... want those socks...
Basically I'm a shopping fiend over here... especially with clothes and Disney stuff.
Also writing down Annie Moores... have to check out...
It really was a great little spot to grab a quick dinner in that area!
Thank you to a Seattler for some great New York tips...
Haha, I'm glad I could give some decent tips, even as a total newbie in NYC!![]()
so let me just tell you, my wife and I are on a diet and when i saw the fish and chips I almost said "the heck with it". We are hoping to reach our target weight before we go to Disney so we can the celibate all week long!!!!
Haha, so Matt and I tend to eat healthy (we've lost a combined 150 pounds between the two of us over the past year and a half), but vacations are kind of off-limits. Now that I'm home and back to my healthy eating, seeing the fish 'n chips KILLS me. It was so good!
HAHAHAHA!!!! This is MY husband, and clearly doesn't know how to spell...he wants to "celebrate" not be "celibate" (though with our daughter on an air mattress between our double beds, this is also a distinct possibility!)
When I saw what he posted and told him, we died laughing...![]()
HAHAHAHAHAHA! OMG, I laughed SO hard at this! When I saw your husband's comment at first I was like... I know he meant celebrate but he totally said celibate, but I thought I'd just laughed it myself. Then you commented and I bust out laughing! SO funny.
