Hello all! I was just wondering if anyone could reccomend a good double stroller? I don't care about price, i just want something easy to maneuver. BUT i need it to be able to hold an infant seat. I will have a newborn and a 1 yr old. MY husband likes the Peg Perego Aria, but it doesn't hold an infant. Soooo..we are back to square one.
Thanks a bunch!

I don't know how much of a help I can be... I'm just about (7 days) to have my third and will be needing a double stroller that will hold an infant seat. I'm going on my neighbors recommendation (she has 4 yo quads, a 2yo, and a 1 yo and has a few different types of double strollers in addition to the special order quad stroller) to get the Evenflo Take me too stroller. She tells me it holds a ton, is light, folds compactly, moves well, is super cheap (only $80-$85 at Walmart), and the kids are comfortable in it. I figure this is the best way to go while using the infant seat. My DH and I (who like all doubles that don't seem to hold an infant seat) decided that once the baby outgrows the infant seat, then if it isn't working as well as we like, we'll just buy a different double then.

Compass has a new lightweight tandem that accepts an infant seat in the back and it has the widest seats I've seen on a tandem yet, it folds umbrella style and weighs about 22 pounds. It's available at Target online.

Otherwise there are the Peg Perego Tender XL and Duette but they only take Peg Perego seats, both are very nice strollers though.

Graco makes a stroller that can take car seats, but the stroller is huge and frequently a pain in the rear to push!

LOL your sound like. me.. I will be having a c-section in 9 days and I need a double stroller. My kids will b 12 months and 6 days apart.

I have to get out there soon since I will need it to take my 6yo to school.

I will have to go take a look at the Evenflo Take me too stroller.

Maclaren, Maclaren, Maclaren. I sold my Aria Twin to buy another Mac (my older son had one). They rock and are worth every single penny.

Why would you take a newborn and a 1 yr. old to WDW? :confused3 You gotta be an idiot. :rotfl2: Wait until they can walk and pee without diapers, heck, they may even be tall enough to go on a ride or two. Stop and THINK - you're wasting your time and money!

Actually she is only taking an 9 month old if you read her dates at the bottom.. she will still be pregnant on her next trip.

Or are you also wasting your money going to wdw pregnant?

Do you think people only use strollers at wdw?

And what owtrbnks? should all kids under 3 not be allowed at WDW because the may not reach the height for some rides and are not potty trained? Now who is the Idiot!!!

WOW! i'm an idiot for wanting to know what kind of double stroller to buy? i said nothing about taking it to WDW. I just wanted to know what people reccomended. Please read an entire post before commenting. And I am taking my 9month old to WDW, oooo sorry i didn't know i had to run all my trip plans past owtrbnks before making anything. GEEZ! Thank you lisaNJ25 for kindly pointing this out to someone who obviously just scours threads looking to start up trouble.

I have heard GREAt things about the Maclaren, i will have to test it out thanks! We went to babies R us and my DD LOVED the JEEP double cause it had a steering wheel haha, she wouldn't let it go and kept beeping the little horn.

I will have to agree with a previous poster though, we put dd in the double Graco and pushed it around the store and it was VERY difficult to steer and was not at all compact when folded. Right now we have the Graco Travel System for DD and i love it EXCEPT for the folded part haha!

Keep em coming! (stroller ideas that is, not personal opinions on my being an idiot!)

Have a great one!

We have a Maclaren side-by-side Twin Traveller and it's wonderful! I highly recommend this stroller, but unfortunately, the TT does not hold an infant car seat. If you're looking for a SBS stroller that will accomodate an infant car seat, look at the Valco Runabout Twin. An adaptor bar can be purchased to fit a Peg Perego car seat or a Graco Car seat. Here are a couple of links so you can check out the stroller:

And here's a link to a picture of the infant seat placed on the stroller:

It's definitely bigger than the Twin Traveller, but it does fit your need to have an infant car seat placed on it. I think the Mountain Buggy Double stroller can also accomodate an infant car seat.

As far as tandem doubles go, I don't really have a recommendation. I see a lot of Graco Duogliders, but I've never owned one, so I can't comment on this brand. Don't purchase the Jeep Wagoneer, though. We bought one but used it only for a few months. It became harder to push and move around in because the kids got heavier. SBS strollers are MUCH, much easier to maneuver as children get older, IMO.

HTH and good luck in your search.
