We are leaving tomorrow for Disney and can't decide if we should bring a double stroller or 2 singles. The double is a big and heavy, but is a jogger so it is a dream to push and steer or we can bring 2 maclaren singles. We have a 4 month old and a 3 year old and both will be using the strollers every day. DH wants to bring 2 singles and I vote for the double, thoughts?

The double. DH can handle it on the bus and you can hold the 4 month old and the 3 yo's hand. If you both have to carry a stroller, how will you handle the baby? With a 4 month old and a 3 yo you won't be splitting up much either.
For the few mins a day of lifting and carrying it on the bus, I think the double is worth it.

I vote double. We've tried both ways, and a good double is worth it's weight in gold.

I think the baby would be more comfortable in a regular stroller than an umbrella.

The double! There may be times that one of you needs to go one way to get a drink or some food or take a bathroom break or go back and look for something that got lost. You want to be sure that one person can handle both kids at the same time.

If needed, have him practice before you go with getting the stroller folded quickly and find the best place to lift it from. And you want to have your stuff in one bag if possible (backpack is best) so he can grab the one bag quickly. Get everything in the bag before you get in line for the bus, or while in line if it is long. Nothing is more frustrating for you and the people behind you to be trying to juggle a loose bottle and bag of cheerios and a jacket that fell out of the bag while folding up the stroller and trying to get on the bus.

Another vote for the double. We've done both. DH wanted to take two umbrella strollers for the twins the first time we went, so we tried it. Boy, was it a pain in the rear!!!! The second time, I insisted on taking the double stroller. What a difference it made!

Thanks so much for all your replies. I am glad to hear from some of you that have done it both ways. Sounds like the double is the way to go.

Id do the two singles, that way if for whatever reason mom and dad needed to go seperate ways you would each have a stroller
