My two youngest kids are 4 and 6, and both are about the size of a typical four-year-old (45 pounds, 45 inches or so). I had a Graco stroller through all four of the kids, but accidentally ran over the wheel of the stroller while backing out of the garage. We are heading to WDW in June, and I know my youngest will still need a stroller (he's on the spectrum and there is no reasoning with him once he is "done") and life will be SO much easier on me if I have one my 6yo can also hop in (I usually split up with them when dh takes the older two on the wilder rides).
I'm really torn as to whether I should buy a new one (even a used one) or just rent. We honestly don't use the stroller much at all, which is why I'm considering renting. We would probably only use it for this trip and a trip to Hershey Park in the fall.
I just read the wonderful thread with the recommendation for the Orlando Stroller Company, and was considering the Baby Jogger City Mini rental. But, I can't find the depth of the seat. If anyone has this one or has used one, what do you think about older kids (4-5-6) fitting in it and being able to rest their feet? I did see the classic double on the site, but it seems so big and bulky and would be difficult to fold if I was by myself on one of our divide and conquer missions.
If not this one, what other recommendations do you have for a double for bigger kids. How about the Maclaren Triumph? I went out trying to find some in stores today, and was so discouraged at the selection to see in person. I'd hate to waste money shipping one here and then having to ship it back if I don't like it. The only one I managed to find in person was the jeep wrangler twin, and the seats didn't look deep enough to fit older kids comfortably. Of course, that one is one of the cheaper ones.
I had originally planned to just buy one of those sit n stand strollers, and had arranged to go pick up a used one today off of Craigslist. The lady called once she read my e-mail about the ages of the kids, and thought it might not be big enough. Does anyone have one of those models that might be big enough?
I know you all are the experts, so I was hoping someone could share a suggestion for me. I hate to spend a fortune, given that my kids wont use it much. But, I could always resell it
