do you guys like this stroller?

I have been going over and over strollers the last few days and i keep coming back to this one. what do you all think?

What are the features that keep you coming back to this one? I've done some searching and couldn't realy find any reviews but the ones listed here. I know nothing about jogging strollers, so I am not sure how much feedback I can provide.

I was going to suggest the InStep stroller that a lot of the other swaps have but I really have taken a liking to the BabyTrend one that you have suggested. I love that it has 2 cup holders which would be a great bonus at Disney. I also like that the covering provided works well at keeping the sun out (or at least the reviewers have said that...:) so it takes away the need to buy a shade accessory. The MP3 option is pretty cool also. It doesn't show it on the original link but there is another link for the same stroller for the same price so why not get all the bells and whistles... LOL :) Good choice! I like it!

The only concern with that one might be that the front wheel doesn't swivel. Would that make it hard to maneuver?

(I was going to paste links, but I don't have enough posts!!!)
The In-Step Safari and another one that does cost a bit more, the Schwinn Free Wheeler both have swivel front wheels. If you search for those on Amazon they'll come up. Also, joggingstroller.com seems to have a lot more info on heights etc. (but their prices seem higher) than the standard Amazon entry.

But I really don't know. I've never had one, nor really looked at these before.

I was thinking that the front wheel on the BabyTrend didn't swivel also but in all of the reviews that I have read they said that you can lock the wheel so it is in a fixed position for jogging so it doesn't shake or leave it in swivel position so I believe that this one does have a swivel wheel. I don't know why they didn't put it in the product description though as it seems to be a good selling point. :)

I looks like there are two models of the Baby Trend - one with the swivel and one without. I'm fine with this if everyone else likes it. :goodvibes

Two things:
It said the manufacturers age (on BRU) was 12-24 months
and
one reviewer said it was bulky.

Now maybe they are all bulky... i dont know! Also - we would want something that has a larger weight limit because we have quite the variety of ages I think.

The one on Amazon appears to have the stationary front wheel, especially when you look at the picture and it shows the hard plastic foot rest covering the sides of the tire. However, the one in the link from Julie2818 is slightly different but does have the swivel wheel.

I just did some quick searching. What about something like this. It is lighter weight then the jogging stroller and folds smaller. It slightly more expensive (around $25 per family) still much cheaper than renting.

Also, it holds up to 110 pounds or 55 per child.

the handle on that one is killer on the hands after a few days.

how about this:
http://www.amazon.com/Suburban-Safa...ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1219352292&sr=8-2
has weight capacity 75 per child, not cup holders, but allows for larger size kids.

here is basically the same one
http://www.jogging-stroller-superst..._double_jogging_stroller&utm_campaign=9941580 exc ept manufactured by instep instead of pacific cycle and has parent consol, which looks like a cupholder place??

That looks good. As long as whomever puts it together does a good job with the front wheel....(bad joke about the review on amazon)

this is the one I would like to order

http://www.jogging-stroller-superst..._double_jogging_stroller&utm_campaign=9941580

If everyone currently on the swap is definitely in, I would like to go ahead and order. Right now it is still more per person than I would like to see, so if you guys know anyone going interested in a swap, please send them here to sign up.
Please either post, PM or email me to let me know you are definitely participating and i will place the order, then everyone can paypal the money (preferred) or let me know if you cannot paypal, i will have to give you my address to mail.
The 1st on the list so far is Amaia82, starting 9/13...I don't think we should push to start sooner than that, unless someone posts today or tomorrow asking.
Amaia, I sent you a PM, would you prfer it shipped to you at home to assemble or straight to POP?
Everyone, please see who is before and after you in the swap, you will need to coordinate between yourselves pick up and drop off the stroller to keep the swap running.
I, nor anyone else in the swap, can be held financially responsible in anyway if the swap fails to meet your expectations, or has any problems---loss, breakage, etc. That is why I am trying to find more participants to keep the cost minimal that if, heaven forbid, there is a problem, we have not spent a lot of money that now is useless.
PLEASE do not be scared by that comment, I am just trying to protect us all and make sure we all understand we do need to trust each other to make this work.

Any other concerns or questions, please post or PM and everything will be addressed. if there is anything I haven;t thought of, please let me know that as well. This is all very new to me, so thanks for bearing with me!

Jill

Eeee! So excited! :) We will have a car, too, so we can work something out for the 24th! :) THANK YOU!

I was thinking of just having it sent to POP but now I am a little nervous about making sure it gets there on time but not too early you know?

Anyone have any experience flying with a stroller like that?
