I can't picture the ride that they are talking about. Old-fashioned cars that are spinning around?

Geez I need to print that article for my DBILs/DSILs/DMIL since they think I'm crazy for not letting my DD's go on carnival rides!...

What a horrible accident, and to imagine that there were 5 years olds who witnessed it. Geez....

some of those characters who man these rides are pretty shady looking I must say....

The carnival in my community had an accident with a scrambler type ride this year also. The car came off the apparatus and sent it and the girl's inside flying into the center of the ride.

We won't go near fairs, carnivals or other types of amusements.

That's awful. I don't even ride the rides at the State Fair. I'm so paranoid. And, no offense, but yes those carni-workers look down right scary!!!

I argued with the 11-year-old next door over and over about how he shouldn't get on those fair rides at this specific fair He was always trying to argue that the rides were safe. To an invincible 11-year-old, I'm sure that the rides do seem safe, though. Why aren't these rides more strictly regulated?

The news this morning said they are looking into reports that the man snuck onto the ride, getting into a car that was roped off as unusable because of prior problems.
