Double jogging stroller thru airport security?

I just wondered if anyone has tried to take a double jogger-type stroller (Instep Safari TT) through airport security. Our twins will be almost 3 when we take them to WDW, and we want to take the double jogger (well, it's more of an all-terrain stroller about the size of a jogger); it provides a smoother ride for sleeping and easier to push. We don't want a standard double stroller because they're too big for it. We don't want to take two umbrellas because they won't be able to lie down for a nap. Two regular lightweight strollers will be too cumbersome to handle, since we'll have car seats with us too. Phew! So I figured I'd push the double jogger and DH will carry the two car seats.

Now the question: Have you tried to carry all this equipment through airport security? The stroller will not fold up small enough to fit through the security scanner. How did you manage, what with removing shoes, etc?

Thanks for your input!

Hi,

We took a double jogger. The same ones they have a Disney MGM. It was the City Twinner by Baby Jogger. Not cheap but we wanted something built well for our older kids. We have 3 and the weight didn't work out with the other double strollers. The kids are not big but the combined weight wasn't gonna work.

So yes we took it through the airport a few times, plus 2 car seats and the carry ons. Nuts I know but we did it just the 2 of us.

It worked out great. Good luck.
