double-dip excursions

We are booked on the May 27th cruise. Does anyone have an opinion about the shore excursions? Last year we did the 4-night Bahama cruise and were very disappointed with Nassau and the glass-bottom boat tour that we took. The kids were very nervous in Nassau. Are Cosumel and Costa Maya better?

Why were the kids nervous in Nassau?

They thought it was noisy and the traffic was terrible. I think they would have been happier on a beach somewhere.
