I joined a group of friends/neighbors for our own biggest loser competition and in 4months we will have a pot of $800 up for grabs (it would have been $1000 if we would have done $25 a month each instead of $20 but apparently no one liked my idea of adding an extra $5 a month ) ANYHOW I keep looking at that and it will be our cruise money!!!! (positive thinking!) you know how many drink of the days that could go towards LOL

Erik, the logo looks .

I really like the red background, as someone said, it makes the logo stand out. I am not a fan of the lime green.

PS I noticed that the cruise has gone up in price. Our cabin is almost $300 more than when we booked it back in the beginning of August.

I am a truly evil person.

Robert Jordan died at the extremely too-young age of 58 of a rare blood disease. This is truly and horrible.

However, the thought that keeps coming to mind is the Star Wars quote, "It's as if a million voices cried out suddenly in fear and were silenced." The evil part is I keep giggling about all the people who were hooked on the Wheel of Time series... and will go unrequited, because that scam artist was never going to finish those books! I read the first book... all, what, 900 pages of it? And realized on the last 5 pages he wasn't actually finishing the book! Oh Nooooooo, I had to keep subscribing to give him money, on the vain hope that one day--ONE DAY!!!--he might condescend to finish a storyline! He was on Book TWELVE, people! He was NEVER going to finish his storylines!

Thanks for the welcome. I to am a buckey fan Being that I am from Beavercrek OH...I think its required or something.

We are close to the party room in Cabin #6520 and #6522. I am traveling with my hubby and our 2 kids Zoe the Pirate Princess who will be 6 almost 7 at the cruise and Swashbuckling Ethan who will be 4.

I vote for the red background I will go back and read the yummy drink recipes

Erik, I just love what you have done so far.

I really like the red background with the white writing. I like the map, the red X, the Mickey Head, the ship, the writing at the bottom. I just don't know if I like the Ice Cream cone idea. I know that double dip is the name of our thread, but I think the cruise is much more about going to Castaway Cay than it is about ice cream cones. I wish there was some symbol regarding going to CC twice.

Catecrew was bang on with my thoughts. What does a double scoop cone have to do with a double dip? Isn't a double dip when you dip the cone in the chocolate sauce twice? I'm just sayin'...

As for the colour, I prefer the red over the green. I also love blue and purple. With either of those two colours you could have gold wrtiting.

Also, I think it was Andrea who said that the logo was a little bare on the bottom right. I agree. Could you add an open treasure chest with stuff hanging out of it, or something along that line...or how about a picture of the Pearl?

Anway, I'm just sittin' here throwing out ideas. I had hernia surgery on Monday and I'm bored to tears.

I vote for the red background! (Tiffany can vouch that lime green is NOT my fav color.) Can the red be a little lighter though? Also, could the 'X' on the map & the ship's path be a different shade of red? Its definitely different than the background & clashes a bit to me. (That could just be me though.)

I like the idea of an open treasure chest w/stuff hanging out in the bottom right. Something simple though so it doesn't make the rest of things too busy.

Is it possible to put the text at the bottom on 2 lines or would that take up too much room (that's to be used for names & stuff later)?

Anyone have any good drinks to help the celebration along? Now let me see, where did I put all those drink receipes I've been collecting???

That reminds me......when we were at Myrtle Beach last week, we went to the Ripley's Aquarium. They have a special exhibit about pirates. One part is a short film about the myths & truths concerning pirates. According to the film, pirates & sailors did have their own special jargon, but they didn't speak like the pirates portrayed in the movies. Shucks! & here I was looking forward to hearing one say 'shiver me timbers'!

Ummmm.....it's as sound proof as you calling a CM today asking for a change in cabins close to 6522!! I'm sure that DH would be more than willing to tell his parents "Oh yeah....we looked at our reservations on-line, and our cabin number changed" (which wouldn't be a lie, btw; hey...does the child/parent relationship ever change??)!!

How about a picture of a bowl with a chip dipping in it and then another picture of a bowl with the same chip, but a bite taken out of it. EWWWWW

I vote for the red too or even a navy blue with gold lettering! I don't know. Actually they all look great and I'll go with what ever we come up with!

I'm sitting around today waiting on the UPS man to bring me my cruise docs for our cruise in 2 weeks! I even ran out to the garbage man today because I thought it sounded like the UPS truck. Perhaps they will be here tomorrow.

I did find Ginger Chews today at the World market in Cary. Anyone going there to get some will need to wait until they restock. I wanted to make sure I had enough for the trip. Sorry!

I even printed my door magnets today and am going to cut them out while Grady is at Guitar lessons. Well, that's about it. Next week I will be packing the suitcases - OK I'll just be repacking them so the stuff fits better. Who am I kidding.

I hope everyone is doing better (espically those who had the terrible falls) And it's good to hear of more families from Oregon!

I tried to think of something new to put out there. So here's what I came up with today.....

We adult "DKids" have 28 parents joining us on the cruise. My mom, Linda, accounts for one of those 28! We also have 4 of our grandparents sharing happy memories onboard!!

Hey everyone....I just wanted to post quickly to let you know that I have indeed been watching the posts today and seen a lot of the feedback. I just havent had time to work on any of them yet because I had to speak at a very large conference locally today and that consumed my energy (and online time). I am going to work on a mock-up that takes some of our collective thoughts and ideas into account.

The only one that I have to say I"m not sure I'm 100% onboard with is in making the text at the bottom to two lines...the "...because there's no such thing as too much Castaway Cay!" (and first of all since that came out of my little brain I'm really glad people seem to like that....its' my own personal slogan about this trip! hehehe). I did it quickly that way yesterday and it does indeed consume too much space I think to put our names in a legible font once the logo is printed as 3"x4". When I do mock-ups later I will actually put my name on it the way it woudl be on the lanyard so people get a sense.

The compromise, however, might be that we create two versions: one for lanyards where it's on one line so that names fit....adn then another version where it's on two lines and takes up more space and we can use that on cafepress.com for shirts and souvenirs and then that can also become the icon for people's signatures or whatever they want.

So check back in a bit.
