ok so after reading this I was searching google for some pics to make magnets shirt etc (ya I know I still need to actually book it.. what is wrong with me and dragging my feet now that DH is "onboard" LOL)

anyhow I was searching google and found this pic and thought of you Hadley

OMG We are scheduled to pull out headed to Montreal in 8 minutes and here I am on the DIS instead of filling the cooler. It;s addicteive I tell you.

Right now I have to admit I am very in to Big Brother 8. I read the live feed posts all the time & man it's way different than just watching the TV show by itself.

Cheesy or otherwise, Big Brother is my FAVORITE of the reality shows, and I watch a lot of reality. Even Rob, who normally watches but isn't SO into it goes to jokersupdates.com at least 6 or 7 times a day to follow every single thing we don't see on TV. Plus BB After Dark--it's a great season!!!!

As Hadley mentioned, we also don't have kids. We love DCL because, well, it's Disney and it's amazing!

I go to tvclubhouse.com & Ilovereality.com, but I must admit it's WAY more than 6-7 times a day. I am a nightowl too & everything is happening at night so that's good for me. My only complaint is it seems like they are not letting themselves have any FUN. All they do is sit around & talk game all the time. I'd be in there making up games & doing goofy stuff to pass the time.

Am I seeing one of your pics right? Looks like you have a DD from China! Us too!! Our DD is almost 4.5 & will be 5.5 when we cruise next year. Here's hoping China moves quickly in processing your paperwork - I'd heard that things there have really slowed down in the past few months. I'd love for DD to meet yours - she enjoys seeing other kids from China.

Yup- she's from Kunming, Yunnan Province. This will be her second Disney cruise- we went about 7 months after she came home, on the Sept. double dip last year. We had a blast, but she wasn't potty trained and couldn't swim in the ship.

This time, we're looking at a special needs boy so the processing should be within 7 months. Crossing our fingers that we'll have him with us.

That's so cool, Julie. Our DD is from Guangdong, so she's a real southern girl - South China & Southern US. We're thinking of going back for an older child (around 5 yrs old or so), but for now DD is enough for us.

Wow, we were still adjusting at 7 mos post 'gotcha day'. We did go to the beach a month or so after coming home, but weren't brave enough to do a cruise. My hat's off to you & your family doing such an adventure so soon after gotcha day.

Here's hoping & praying you'll get your little man in the expected time frame.

We went to WDW for a few days before the cruise too. Maybe we're not adventurous, just crazy.

Just checking in to say hello! We leave Monday for Europe! Got all the kid's passports this week. whew! Wish I could pack my fav EBers in my carry on and take you with me. It won't be the same, but we'll make due.

Katey was disqualified in her next pageant for covering her shoulders with a scarf, but she was lovely in all she did. Yep, like to be a sexy pirate (which I did fully clothed!), but nope, won't compromise our beliefs. Since we didn't get another crown, do we get points in heaven for this?

So our room(s) situation MAY end up like this.. Nothing definate yet
room #1 3 adults DH, DS (18) & me
room #2 2 adults and 1 child (5) (MIL, FIL & Niece)
room #3 2 adults 3 kids (11, 13, 15) (friends)
room #4 2 adults 3 kids (2, 5, 7) i think (friends)
room #5 2 adults (my mom & his aunt)

All the night Double Dips are Western aren't they? Glad to know you enjoyed it as muc has we did. I wonder if you will seem familiar to us once we are onboard? It seems on every cruise we quickly find a "core" group of people whom we see over and over again as they have about the same interests as we do Likewise, we have cruised on the same ship as people we know and NEVER seen them (different interests so never in the same place at the same time). Funny how that works.

I haven't been to WDW for something like 28 years (I was about 10 years old when I was there). I can still remember seeing both the Contemporary and the Polynesian and wishing I could stay there someday. Well, it took a while, but by golly I finally got 'er done.

Over 6 months so far and I haven't let anything slip. Only about 11 and a half to go before the "reveal".

Ohhh VERY Nice... Congrats..

We have a brand new house that was just built for us... so it's going to feel a little weird being able to stay at our house prior to the cruise and a day after the cruise.. instead of a Disney hotel... BUT... we can still see the MK fireworks from our front porch!!!

We have been talking about you all week knowing you are leaving on the 13th. Of course, we certainly wish we could be there as well. Hopefully another cruise with you is in the future. I must admit that I am a first timer on the boards. I have enjoyed reading all of your posts and replies. I just booked this cruise for our family and my husband and I are so excited! He and I have cruised before but never anything like this and we have been waiting a long time to give this to our kids. We are keeping this cruise a surprise for our two kids Brianna(8) and Trenton(5) until the day we leave as well as from our families as well just to prevent a slip up, so obviously getting on these boards allows us someone to be excited with! I am sure after being on here awhile that I will learn how everything works, so try and hang in there with me if you can!

Myself 37, DW 37, and DD5 will be in Secret Veranda 6634 for DCL cruise # 7, and our second double dip! We were on the Sept Double dip last September and fell in love with the two days at CC.....
#6 is coming up this Novemeber 10th...our second Eastern.

Hi all. I haven't posted in quite awhile. I read up every day though while I drink my morning coffee.

If anyone remembers I was asking about switching rooms. I did end up switching , we are now staterooms 2530 & 2532. My parents are still planning on going with us too. Could you get me updated? Thanks

I have enjoyed reading about everyone's summer. We have gone camping a couple of times, seen a few movies, Sea World, beach, etc. Nothing as exciting as building volcanos and having safari's though. I see that and think oh my gosh, I have NO imagination.

Right now I have to admit I am very in to Big Brother 8. I read the live feed posts all the time & man it's way different than just watching the TV show by itself.

But, no matter what, always in the back of my mind is this cruise and what a great time it will be. I wake up every morning and it's one of the first things I think of. I LOVE seeing my ticker go down. It's gone from 19 months to 13 & 3 YIPPIE!

Congrats, Jenn, and welcome to the DISboards!! Wow...waiting to the last minute to tell the kids. That is WILL POWER! Although, that's so cool. After our cruise, you can post a "trip report" on another thread. I would love to hear your story of how the kids reacted!

As I'm sure you've already read, I'm the Roll Call List keeper....so read Post 577 (link in my signature), and if there is anything else you want to share about your family and your interests, feel free to let me know! BTW, you are the 4th Buckeye family to join!! If your DD and DS will be 8 and 5, respectively, at the time of the cruise, then your DD will find at least three other 8 yr old girls (several 8 yr old boys ), and your son will be amongst three 5 yr old boys.

...and Kimberly, I have a guilty pleasure too - it's called So You Think You Can Dance.

I have friends who say they are quite entertained by So You Think You Can Dance as well....maybe I'll have to catch that one some time.

I'm still hooked on Big Brother though. I love that they have Showtime Too broadcasting. Next year, I would love to see another hour show on cable that would consolidate highlights of they day that they can't fit into the CBS show.

My condolences in advance that Dick's going to be out on Thursday. Personally, I want to see Amber win.
