I showed your statistics to my reluctant-to-cruise husband, and it actually made him sit up and start doing his own research for our 2008 cruises. He *gasp* actually started looking at the schedule for the cruise, which ports we're visiting, and which excursions he was interested in.

THANK YOU! I really could kiss you right now! :) Somehow the impressive numbers got through to him in some way my nagging ;) could not!

Welcome aboard Oliver and Stefanie:yay:

Kimberly I can't believe how many disers are on this cruise. Thanks for keeping track of everyone.

Marsha I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful cruise great photos as well (I love the pirate outfits on them).

I think a MNSSHP meet would be a blast before the cruise next year.

Checking in -

Still not getting my email updates, maybe the DIS is on strike or something.

I had family in town, and we all went to Sea World yesterday on a miserably hot day. :goodvibes

I am finally getting the emails again and see that I have a lot of catchup to do:surfweb:
We are headed to the WORLD on Thursday!!! pirate: I love the POTC ride!!
Ashley's first trip anywhere as far as we can determine.

We will be staying in orlando from Thrus thru Sunday. Has Seaworld changed for the better?

Hey now, don't be knockin' the nerds! ;)

To give you a clue how much of a nerd I am, my high school chant (no joke) was, "That's all right, that's ok, you're going to work for me some day!" and our school mascot carried a 3 foot pencil and wore a lab coat with taped glasses.

It was hilarious! Very few of us actually looked like the mascot, but there were some who took their schoolwork a little too seriously. :rotfl: My lab coat had sparkly puffy paint all over it. ;)

Shel, that's SOOO exciting! :goodvibes I'm sure her big sister will have no problem showing her around! princess: princess: I'll be very interested in hearing about your trip!
Safe travels!

PassPorters.com just put up the closeouts on DCL and WDW books. They have the DCL deluxe starter kit for the 4th edition (2005) for $11.95!! This deluxe starter kits with the 3 ring binder sells for $40 in the stores. :cool1:

I LOVE a deal!!

Thank you for this link Kimberly! I ordered mine - It will be here in 4 to 14 days. :)

I love a great deal too and stopped by the Disney store (I had to go by it to pick up my now working sewing machine) and they have a ton of summer stuff marked down 25% to 40% off of the marked down price. The kids and I all got new leather sandals for less than $15.00 (total - not each). We also got some baithing suits, hats and pj's. Love those Disney sales! Now if they would only put those great Pirate costumes on sale! pirate:

Marsha - your kids look great in their outfits! Do you make them yourself? I can't wait to see what they will be wearing on our cruise in '08. :cheer2:

Oooh, have fun! :goodvibes

Sea World HAS changed for the better, but keep in mind I had not been there in about.....oh, a million years! The last time I went, they had just added Krakken and Atlantis. Now they offer a lot of things that seem very Disney to me - like a fine dining restaurant with one wall that is the aquarium of the Shark Encounter, and an opportunity to "dive" in the Shark Encounter too (in a shark cage). The new Shamu show is pretty neat, but they don't tell you as much about the whales now. And there are lots of rides in the kiddie area that looked really fun!

When we got our tickets, we got access for the rest of the year for the same price so we'll probably go back once or twice more. But if I had a choice, I'd probably just go to Epcot and head for the Living Seas :rotfl:

Thanks, Erica.... that's good news!

We are actually going to head over there (SW) next week. :fish: I haven't been in like 16 yrs, and DH hasn't been there since he was a baby. It's a suprise. I've told him we're going "somewhere" and doing "something" but that's all I'll say. Of course, first thing out of his mouth was "Are we going to Epcot?" :lmao:
I haven't told him I'm saving that for this fall.....(food & wine........& food, & food, & food) :rolleyes1

We went to SW in Dec 2007 and had a good time! I liked the dolphin show better than the Shamu show, but they did not talk about the animals like they used to.

My only advice is if you feed the sea lions - watch out for the birds:

I've gotta admit we have never been to Sea World. We will rectify the situation one of these days. Probably NOT in Orlando though--that big magnet keeps us held pretty tightly to WDW property:rotfl:

Lady Shiva--I just noticed your location as Denver. Dave and I both grew up in Boulder (his parents who will be cruising with us still live there). We have family who live near the zoo in Denver as well as in Lakewood also. So, we know your neck of the woods a bit. Are you natives or transplants?

When I went to school I took part in students exchange with Lafayette Highschool. The student I did the exchange with, CLIFF, and I are still friends. When Cliff got married two years ago he invited me and hubby Oliver.

I LOVE BOULDER!!! I love Celestial Seasonings...
Steffi.
(BTW: I already tried to answer yesterday, but it didn't work.
Oliver and I live in Bavaria/Germany. About 150km away from Munich)

We actually live in Aurora. We're transplants. I've moved around a LOT; my husband, not so much.

I've been to the Florida and California Sea Worlds (many years ago), but have never made it to the Texas Sea World. It's a shame they spend less time on explaining the animals.

*twinkling eyes* So are you guys crazy Boulder hippies??? :rotfl: Those people are NUTS! They riot and burn couches in the streets up there!

:lmao: I've wandered around Boulder, and I agree, it is absolutely beautiful up there. We tend to do Sunday drives through the mountains, starting in Denver, going through the casinos, through Nederland, then back through Boulder.

*wave*
