Does anyone know if you can get beverages other than tea? I don't drink tea but if I could get something else I might be up for it, just to socialize. ;)

You know....I have no idea! I imagine you could get coffee or something? Good question :confused3

Hi EVeryone
We have been busy with getting ready to move:thumbsup2 I am definitly up for a ladies tea, sounds fun!!!!

Count Me In for Tea!!!!! :coffee:

I would imagine they would have coffee, water and maybe even juices
I've never done a High Tea before

We should have a great tea party! We'll have to try to get ressies as soon as they come available.

Gosh I would like to join, but hubby would be jealous. :confused3 He was peeved that they didn't offer it on the 4-night.
And I'm assuming ladies tea means no dudes!!!:lmao:

I haven't done one on DCL, but I have been to a "high tea" at a tea restaurant. They serve pretty little cakes and cookies and sometimes little finger sandwiches stacked up on tiered silver trays and of course teapots with tea and fancy cups to drink it out of. Quite a "girl thing" to do :cutie:

I did tea with my daughter in October on the Magic. It was wonderful!! They serve tea sandwiches, pastries and fresh brewed teas. We really enjoyed it.

On my cruise last September (the Wonder, 4 night), they offered a rare high tea on our sea day and I loved it. But I am also a tea junkie. I thought it was a great deal for $5 per person. They had some very nice quality teas and everyone got their own pot. The snacks were great.

Here is my teapot:

And the tray of sweets:

We also had scones, and some scary trifle. I like the American version of trifle, but the British version scares me sometimes. It was basically cookies, jello and pudding all mixed up and topped with whipped cream. I believe the way I described it was "it tastes BLUE."

:woohoo: Just booked "double-dip" this week. :cool1: Didn't even tell hubby or kids yet. Going to try to save it for a Christmas surprise. First Disney cruise for me and hubby, and first cruise ever for kids (DD - will be 11, DS - will be 7) Looking forward to all the advice from former Disney cruisers

:cheer2: WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!!! :cheer2:
WoW you are going to Surprise them at Christmas :scared1: I'd never be able to Last that long :sad2:

The American version, as far as I know, seems to be ladyfiingers, pudding and fruit.

The British version?

BLUE.

I am assuming ladyfingers is cake?? Our version is sponge cake, jam, custard (maybe like pudding?) and topped with whipped cream. Can also have fruit in it. Also the sponge is often sprinkled with rum or something similar (not soggy though).

Blue is an intersting taste. Maybe ours would taste Blue too:)

Welcome Aboard Nemontinksmom!!!:cheer2: It will be so fun to surprise your kids!!! You will love DCL! There is a great thread with lots of tips - it is titled something like "what's the best cruise tip you ever got?" I will try to get the link to you - I used to be subscribed to it. There were alot of great tips!

Okay, here it is:

The tea looks good! The scary trifle sounds a little wierd! It sounds like the New Zealand version is like ours - I wonder where the "blue" flavor came from:confused3
