We were at WDW last year from Nov to Dec (10 days) and stuffed every Christmas activity into the trip that would fit! The MVMCP was great and the Candlelight Processional was great too. Grady loves the symphony and singing. Don't forget the Osborne lights at MGM - it snows there too!

Our MVMCP was very warm. I was also prepared with matching sweat shirts that I embroiderd for us to wear, but we stayed in shorts all evening. We did get to wear them the last day of our trip, it cooled off a bit.

Welcome Ella - I also love that movie!

Thank you for all the prayers and Pixie Dust!

Grady did great at the dentist today! In fact I was a nervous wreck in the waiting room and I felt horrible not telling him what he was in store for, but he did awsome! I almost started crying when they called me back and his mouth was full of gause. I managed to hold it together. He has to go back on Monday to have an impression made of his bottom teeth. He needs an appliance to push his jaw out and make room for the rest of his adult teeth. Poor guy has the same problem I had - Big teeth and a little mouth. We are hoping this will help him avoid braces in the future, but I kinda doubt it.

:grouphug: for Grady and mom, its tough when our kids are going thru things we cant protect them from:(

Alright folks...here they are....the logo images, as promised, in time for the one-year-to-go "holiday"!!!

I have created the logo in three sizes WITHOUT the white space for names. This means that the mickey map is shifted down a bit and that the image itself is a little bit less rectangular. I have created it in three sizes.

First, LARGE (this shoudl be approximately 8.5 x 11 inches). I thought this size woudl be good for the fronts of Tshirts and also would work well for other cafepress stuff because images look better when they are created big and then shrunk rather than created small and blown up. So here is that one:

DoubleDipLogoLarge.jpg

Second is Medium (shoudl be approximately 5" x 7"). Honestly I'm not sure what this would be ideal for...I just thought if I made a big one and a small one then we would need a medium one, too.....how very Goldilocks of me!! But I imagine this could work if people wanted to print the image themselves at home for magnets or projects or something. Here is that one:

DoubleDipLogoMedium.jpg

Then finally I created a small version. This is the one that I thought people could use as part of their signatures since it's created to be about 2.5" by 3". Here is that one:

DoubleDipLogoSmall.jpg

Now, if I'm figuring right....people should be able to just right click on those images and save them to their own computers and use them in signatures, etc. If anyone needs me to email the files directly, just let me know and I'll be happy to do so. Also if anyone wants it in a specific size other than those posted, that's pretty easy to do, too, so just let me know that as well.

Once again.....a huge thanks to everyone who participated in the voting, idea generating, clip-art finding, etc. I'm really pleased with how the logo turned out....will be proud to wear it on a lanyard, Tshirt, and other souvenirs....but even more I'm thrilled that it ended up being such a great group process so we can all feel like we played a part in making something meaningful and fun!!

WELCOME DEB AND JOHN!!

Oh ,and Ella if I remember correctly post 577 has the MAJOR info from the crusie. Kimberly keeps adding to that so if you don't want to spend hours and hours tryign to catch up you can just read that and then just jump on in.

:thumbsup2 You got it, Hadley! I think I've trained you all well! :lmao: So Deb, feel free to check out Post 577 (link is in my siggy) and if there's anything else you want to share about yourselves, feel free to do so!

Grady did great at the dentist today! In fact I was a nervous wreck in the waiting room and I felt horrible not telling him what he was in store for, but he did awsome!

SOOO glad to hear that!!

They are truely wonderful, your hard work has paid off!!!!! Thanks

OK so now here is the next question. Does anyone want to be responsible for setting up a cafepress store (maybe even preferably someone who has done that kind of thing before....and I think I recall someone saying that they had done so)? Or should I look into doing that myself?

We should generate a list of what kinds of things we want to offer in the store for people to order. There are lots of options in there. We should probably target a number of different kinds of Tshirts. I think we should probably stick to white shirts primarily since the logo itself is so colorful...but we could get regular tshirts, v-necks, and tank tops. It would probably also look good with ring-neck shirts where the collar is black or red. IN addition I know that Hadley asked for the bag/backpack option but we could also do magnets, mugs, hats, etc. On the repo cruise a running joke was the fact that they had hte option to put have the logo put on a thong just because it was so silly...even though I don't think anyone really ordered it! :lmao: :lmao:

We can then try to get a store up and running soon so that people can buy stuff...especially before the holidays. I would love, for instance, to get a bunch of stuff and wrap it as gift for my hubby, Jason, for Xmas!!

So that's probalby our next step at this point....figuring out the cafepress process!

Thank you Erik! I've already added it to my siggy.

~twirling~

We just got off our last cruise (9/15 Eastern) and are way excited about the planning process for our next. A year seems like forever!

SO funny, after your last post I went to the cafepress website and was looking around, i am CLUELESS when it comes to that kind of stuff, but I know our whole family needs T shirts, I want a bag and have to admit got a :giggle: out of the thongs, believe me that would not be a pretty site on me, but they are funny!

I would love to use our design as my avatar, how do I make it smaller?
Thanks

That logo turned out great. Thank you for doing this for all of us.

PS will I get into trouble for the size I have it? It looks sooooo good, I hate to shrink it!

Kimberly--I am learning from the best:thumbsup2

Erik--:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Love the logos:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
I have ZERO experience setting up a cafe press store. If someone with experience wants to that would be very, very good. But if no one steps up, I'll do it if you'd like. You have put in sooooo many hours allready:rolleyes1 Of course, if you really, really want then by all emans keep it. Or better yet, who has expereince here????

So far, I've only read the first page....looks like I've got a lot of reading to catch up on......good! It should be a lot of fun getting to know you all. Any special activities planned yet?

We're also doing a 4 night Halloween cruise and after we're doing the MNSSHP at World. Then we're doing the 15 night Panama crossing Western in May 08. Our halloween thread is pretty lame, but our May thread is loaded with great people that some have cruised together before and they're all Geeks!!!!!!!! The best kind of people. Our thread started around the same time as yours and now we're on page 1960. We're all very chatty. I'm looking forward to chatting with you all here too. I've told Kat about the DISers and I hope that she will join us on here too.

 :rotfl2:

Everyone loves a geek! ;) Welcome aboard!

Erik, the designs look great. I actually HAVE a cafepress store I opened a few years ago and never did anything with, let me see if it's still active.....

*wince* I have had a CafePress shop, so I know having an actual SHOP takes money, but offering goods for sale doesn't take money... Lemme see what I can get going and I'll report back later...

I really hope I don't mess up the pretty logos!

Brandie

ETA--Yay! zweihund beat me to it!

Haha, great minds think alike!
I have mine up and am adding stuff. I don't suppose it would hurt to have two? I don't know how the commission checks work, maybe Brandie does.....but I suppose we could donate the proceeds or just lower the price as much as possible?
Still playing :goodvibes

Good job Erik!

Thank you folks with Cafepress experience for checking into the details. Anxiously awaiting the results here!

Awesome Logos !!!!
and Yes ::yes:: I was able to save it to my computer

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR EFFORT AND HARD WORK AND ALL THE HOURS YOU SPENT PLAYING WITH IT!!!! :flower3:

Nope, I killed my account because I got tired of the spam.

I like the large logo on the "custom tote bag." People can either upload the pics and buy them without a storefront, or use the store to pay for lanyards?

Brandie

We ARE going to be adding 2 more people to this cruise !!!!!!!!!

WOOT!!!!

man, I should be earning a comission from DCL for this.. :rolleyes1
