The image was flagged for potential copyright violation. BLAST!

For you Transatlantic folks.....did you have mouse ears on your logo? If so, do you know how to get around the copyright? I have the option to email them if I think they were in error, but I need to have something good to say before I do. Ideas?

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I just knew that was going to happen!! No we did not use mouse ears on our last logo for the repo. I have used homemade mouse ears such as that for buying individual items......but never in a store. I have never gotten flagged trying to buy just something for myself without making it available to the world.

So you can try to email them and tell them that you did not copyright infringe...because that logo does not exist anywhere else...we created it....however, if disney has copyrighted three circles together that look like a mickey head...even when it's not an official mickey head then we are in trouble.

So we have a couple options:

We could just distribute the jpg files as widely as possible and have people order their own items without creating a store. If you go to the cafepress store you can actually go through their whole store, pick an item on which you want your image/picture/logo, then upload your jpg file and they print and send it to you. Like I said, I have never had trouble making items like that even with "copyright" images on them.

Beyond THAT.....what we might have to do is use the logo as it exists for our signatures and lanyards....but do something different for the map itself so it doesn't look like a mickey head.

How frustrating!!

Jason really thinks that the problem with the store is that using the Mickey logo makes it seem as if someone is trying to SELL Disney's copyrighted image for a profit. Even though we know that isn't the case. (Actually maybe that is what you could tell cafepress....that your'e selling the items for zero profit because it's not actually a store...it's more a way for a group of people all traveling together to buy matching memorabilia for the trip.)

I am also going to try to order Jason and I some ringer tees with the logo on the front right now. We'll see if they let me get away with it. If they do....then I'm going to suggest that be the way we go about it....if they nix even individual orders (not affiliated with a store) then we're going to HAVE to redo the logo.....grrrr....well at least we can use it as is in signatures and for the lanyards because those aren't being professionally printed.

I will let people know how it goes.....(and zwiehund if you want to still try to coax cafepress into letting your store proceed then go for it! )

Well.....once you catch you'll realize the store doesn't work....so you shoudl probably take the link down until we figure out what to do about the store.


So, everyone, I ordered two size Medium ringer tees with black collar and sleeve trim. We'll see if they let it fly. If they do then i will post explicit directions here on how to go and order stuff.....but pretty much EVERYTHING the site has to offer woudl be available to everyone and we woudln't have to worry about what was in the store compared with what people want...because we could all order whatever we felt like!

Not sure what you've tried yet, so if you've tried the following, we'll troubleshoot...

• Save logo file to a site like www.PhotoBucket.com.
• If you desire, you can resize it by editing, then select "Resize".
• Select the "IMG" URL link that will be found near the image itself. Copy this link (press Cntrl+C).
• Go back to DISboards to edit your signature.
• Simply "paste" (press Cntrl+V) the URL where you desire in your signature.
• Validate that you see "
  
  " at the end of the URL.
• Save your Signature!

Hopefully I didn't leave out a step!

Hi everyone,

I would love to join your group. We just returned from the 9/15 eastern (our first cruise) and it was just so wonderful that we had to re-book. So here we are

We were in a cat 4 on the 9/15 with me, dh and 2 DD's.

THis time we decided to bring my mom along to have someone be with the girls at night while they slept so DH and I could have a little more fun. So, we have connecting rooms in Cat 9 deck 2.

I cant believe that we are paying less to have 2 rooms while adding a person too
