Oh Erik, bring he shirts. Wear them one day at WDW and get some good photopass pictrues or something. I think those shirts are great (everyone--they match /Erik's FE ) Rio looks for that fabric every time we go to JoAnns (I am sure that is NOT where you got it, but I do not have the heart to tell him)--because he wants a shirt just like them--the colors are just so great.

Actually I did get it at Joann's. The only other place I have to get fabric is in NYC when I travel there.....so 99% of my fabric is from Joann's. (although not all....I've been known to get creative for fabric....like one of the ties that I made is a pair of little girl's pajama pants I bought on Ebay....and our tie and cumberbund set is an adult woman's 101 dalmations teddy/nighty that I found on ebay! )

Congrats! Hopefully this means that mine are on the way. Maybe they're driving them up from Florida??? All this waiting for UPS and my youngest son actually works for UPS down at the airport!!!

Congrats to your DH on the offer, Tonya! My DH is ex-K9. Its been over 10 yrs, but I still remember the anxiety on my part when he would go off to work. I believe he dealt w/all the stuff you mentioned, but things have changed a great deal here since he's been on the force & not for the better as far as criminal activity goes. Especially true for the gangs. Even though I'm not thrilled w/his current job (not family friendly at all), I'm glad he doesn't have to put on a bullet-proof vest to go to work.

Doug and I bought some on the Wonder last year for about $5.00 each. They are little boxes that hold your KTTWC and cash or a visa when we went on excursions. I hear you can get them at REI if you have one of those handy.

I can't wait to see them. That reminds me too. Where would we go to get some type of lanyard to put our money and cards in? I'm not sure if it's called a lanyard or something else. I was looking for something that is waterproof that we can wear around our neck so we don't have to put items money in our pocket. I went to Big 5 and they didn't have anything like that.


Post pics so we can see how you are making them. Great idea! Oh and some of you were saying you were going to get mats and have the characters sign them the put a pic in the middle. I was just at Dollar Tree yesterday and they had white mats for only $1.. great deal!!!

All I know is on our last cruise, disembarkation morning, I was in tears because my pants wouldn't ZIP! This year, I'm wearing a skirt home, so my bootie can expand all it wants...and I can dress properly to get off the boat!

Off topic, my husband just got a job offer today with the PD doing the bulldog tactic force.. I am scared. He will be dealing with gang members, drug busts, and probation, etc. He has been waiting for K-9. They are hiring soon. This is bad timing with the cruise and Hawaii though Hopefully it all works out.

The goal here is obviously to have some simplicity so your autographs and pictures are the focal points. I have yet to make spots for pictures so you write around the frames, but you can get the idea. I used my Cricut for the letters, Donald's tie, Mickey's buttons, and Goofy's hat. Otherwise, it was all my own paper piecing.

I have a couple of other characters I plan to do as well, but OMG it's 2:30 in the morning!!!!

Tropical Storm Hanna is moving at 13 miles per hour. That's fast for a storm. She seems to be moving north. Not really a big story for us cruisers. Let's just write this gal off.

Now to Mr. Ike. He's a hurricane. He could be a problem for CC, he's currently a cat 4! Yikes! He should hit CC around Monday. Then Florida later in the week.

Josephine... a go-go. Looks like she's not going to come close to land with her hook. Bermuda might be worried, but not us.
