Well aren’t you all a chatty group of cruisers today! Happy Wednesday to you, too!

Floridians, I hope you are staying dry and above water. I saw a newscaster on this morning who was in Cocoa Beach. YUCK! The tornados in Brevard County were a shame.

Melodie, I ABSOLUTELY had the thought of today being the 20th and leaving on Sept 20!! It didn’t hit me, however, until I was writing a check for my car’s license plate renewal. Wow! Unbelievable, isn’t it?!! I can’t wait to see my ticker tomorrow!! Under a month? Who would have thought?!

Erik, you live one wild and crazy life! I can’t imagine what your calendar looks like on a weekly basis! You & Jason are always out there doing good for your community! Very cool!

Oliver, it’s great to see you posting again!! I’ve been looking at “the” Roll Call list a lot lately, and have wondered if you and your wife were still on-board with us! I hope things are well in Germany for you, Steffi, and the dogs!

We are joining in on the fun very late in the game! My husband and I booked today! We are booked in a Cat 8 GTY. There wasn't much to choose from!....Just wanted to say hello to my fellow cruisers! Hope I haven't missed out on all the fun!

Speaking of Germany….WELCOME WELCOME Katie!! How exciting that you get to put this trip on your calendar with such little of a wait!! I’m sorry your DSD can’t join you though. (This may be one of those trips you don’t tell her about, huh?) Well, you DEFINIATELY are not too late for amusement with us! There’s LOTS of fun ahead!

Heather knows more than she’s put on!! She’s given you the roadmap of Post #1! Just hop in and ask questions and join in the excitement of cruise chat!

I have a question.. If we do decide to do WDW what one park should we visit? We have never been and I don't know if we will ever be able to come back. I am thinking we may do it for one day. Or should we do MNSSHP instead?

I really wouldn’t recommend spending all that money on the MNSSHP if you have to choose between that and a park for a full day. I haven’t been to Disneyland, so as someone else pointed out, if you do get to go there, perhaps a park other than Magic Kingdom would be more suiting. If not however, for the age of your kids, this is a great time to let them enjoy the magic of MK!!

PS: I just noticed that we are 100 pages away from version 4 of our thread. I wonder if we'll get there?

* when packing shoes use the insides.. put jewlery in them then stuff them with socks.

*If you are packing for multiple members of your family. Put a lil bit of everyones clothing in each suitcase. THIS way if god forbid the airlines looses a bag, someone will have a few things to wear until the bag is found or untill you buy more clothes. (If your flying solo, your SOL lol.. no just pack a change of clothes in your carry on JUST IN CASE!)

I strongly suggest this. I "suggested" it to my dh time and time and time again when he was traveling to Calgary once a month. He thought I was crazy and NEVER did it. Then, I got a nice phone call one day from a lady with Delta in Istanbul, Turkey .... yeah, all of his luggage was there. He was without ANYTHING. Ha!!! He learned.

A little bit about us - I am Katie 30, Dwayne is 35 - we are currently stationed in Baumholder, Germany as my DH is Active-duty Army. He is currently on his 3rd combat tour in Iraq and has about 2.5 yrs to retirement at 20! He got word this week that his R & R is going to fall at the end of September so here we are. I am a full time student and work p/t at the hotel here on base and do a little travel on the side. Our stepdaughter will not be with us this cruise due to school. Our most recent DCL trip was the 4 night Wonder over New Year's Eve 07-08 and we have sailed on the Magic one other time in 12/2006 when he was home on R & R.

Just wanted to say hello to my fellow cruisers! Hope I haven't missed out on all the fun!
