We are thinking of Pirate T shirts for the adults, can we wear them to dinner with capris (women) shorts (guys) or do we have to get dressed up if not in Full pirate attire? We have last seating and I would hate to have to rush back to the room and get changed for the party! do the guys have to wear pants?
HELP

Thanks

We are doing Capri's and I'm making us pirate applique shirts and we have some cute pirate bling to sport with our shirts.

I
So who is packing out there?
I just went thru all the kids clothes and they are pretty much set except I need to buy Matthew a pair of black pants

Many adults had on capris and shorts on Pirate night. We plan on the same thing, that is one less dress outfit to take. :)

Awesome! We plan to do the same thing then! I had bought DD a dress that resembles Elizabeth but she thinks she will be too hot, so I am now on the lookout for a Pirate T shirt

What kind of bling?

Lois--thanks for the multi quoting instructions. I will try it soon (too much to botehr with quoting today).:goodvibes

Julie-- You handle uncertainty much better than I do. I hope you hear soemthing from your DH soon and that he is not in the worst place to be.

Dress Uniforms--I see it a lot and it looks nice. Absolutely have him wear it.:thumbsup2

Pirate night--Just about anythign goes on pritae night. Have FUN:cool1:

So today I landed what for me is my ideal job!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :yay: :yay:   I am now the young adult librarian at our awesome little library which I adore and already work at as as sub. I am going to be able to keep the hours down to a manageable number for me and the kids AND work around their schedules. I will spend my "working" time sourounded by books and book lovers and doing things with teenagers. If someone had asked me to define the perfect job for me right now THIS is what I would have written down:upsidedow I have been happy dancing for the past two hours:dance3:

Hadley, that's awesome!!! Congratulations!

What kind of bling?
Well we currently have these cute necklaces (the pirate ones for pirate night)

LOL! :lmao:

he still has the "leisure suit!" i don't know if or when those prototype dress uniforms they spoke of a couple years ago will be coming out. but yeah, the AF's are definitely more business suit than swoon-worthy. ;) they certainly are no comparison to the marine dress & cracker jack sailor uniforms. oh well, i still love my AF man, silly dress uniform & all.

D'oh, figured he'd be Air Force. We've been waiting for new duty uniforms for two years- the Navy is supposed to get some sort multi-colored blue camouflage to replace the 2 million other uniforms they have for enlisteds, including getting rid of the dreaded "Good Humor Man" whites forever. But he's still wearing whites in the summer (with black shoes and socks), and really nice dark blue/black in the winter. Army dress blues are nice, by their class A green uniforms- like something the Girl Scouts might have worn in the '70s. Ick.

HADLEY: Congrats on the job. I worked in the library in college, loved it. Thought about getting my MLS but went for history instead. Should have gone with science. I don't deal well with uncertainty, usually. I'm just too tired to care.

Julie

Congrats Hadley!!

Scouts: I love the bling. How cute are they?

I went to the dollar store last year and bought their pirate packages. ( one has a sword, hook, eye patch, earring) another has a gun, eye patch. Very fun for the dress up. :)

Hi everyone
there seems to be a few of us, Dre, Arin :rolleyes1 who are interested in rebooking onboard but doing it the best way?

Right now DCL is offering 50% off down payment, I think DU is offering double shipboard credit and I know when you rebook onboard you get 10% off and an onboard credit, now is it possible to get all of these or am I being greedy. I really like the Eastern for next Sept, it would be the same week we are crusing this year.

Any advice?

As you can see by my name VIDEOMAN...this is what I do...While I use high quality, professional cameras....which I will not be bringing along...I also have ones that I use for my personal life.... I only purchase JVC products...They are the company that has the most up-to-date products and are the inovative in the industry...

For those of you looking into a new camcorder without breaking the bank but still giving you superior quality and ease of use I recomend the following

I purchase most of my products thru B&H and never had a problem so shop in confience

Thank you soo much Charlie! I should have known to ask you!

Well, dh left this morning on stage one of his long trip to Afghanistan. We're effectively in non-communication mode until he reaches his final posting- and he still doesn't know where he'll end up. I'm hoping it's not along the Pakistan border, but with our luck, it will be.

And now everyone has me paranoid about flights! We're flying Southwest, and I'm going to be obsessively checking to make sure our flights are still scheduled, instead of just trying to get a lower price.

Julie

Good luck Julie, I really hope he stays safe. You are a better worman than I am.

Julie:
Thank you once again for the sacrifice you & your family make in having a spouse in the service (deployed or not). Its because of your husband & family that our family is much safer! We are keeping all of you in our prayers. :grouphug:

I hope his travel is uneventful & that you hear from him soon.

Drea:
Thank you to you & yours as well!

If I've left off any of the service personnel families, please know these thank you's are for all of you!

Yes, Thank you all for keeping our country safe!

Denise, you know our husbands better wear pants or they would clear the place! I had a good laugh over that one! Wouldn't it be funny if they have to search Steve's carryon and pull out all his underwear!

I just had to try the multi quote thing! Thanks Lois!!!

Crissi

Oh Hadley, I was so happy to do the multiquote thing, I forgot the congratulations to you!! I am soo excited for you. It is so nice to get a job that you really LOVE!

One day, I will have my dream job.........

Have you heard anything about the digital camera Canon Powershot SD1100? Or does anybody have it? I like the bigger cameras, but I think I would like the smaller one to fit in my pocket. This is the one I am looking at now.

No, I think he'd look wonderful. :thumbsup2 He might have to watch out for swooning women... Do you think he would take that chance? :rotfl:

Ohhhhh yeahhhh, I agree!! I love the dress blues! That's the one thing I miss about Mike being in the Marine Corps. He doesn't wear them anymore. Something about a man in uniform... lol
Tonya

Hadley, I'm so happy for you!!! Congratulations on your dream job - how wonderful to have the opportunity to influence young minds through books. :thumbsup2

So who is packing out there?

Not quite, but my packing *list* is almost done!   And I have a laundry basket full of stuff to be packed for the cruise that nobody is allowed to wear until then. :rotfl:

Not packing yet, but if I don't stop buying new clothes for this cruise I will be buying another suitcase and paying extra to bring it all with me. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Thanks all for the kind words. I am still bouncing with happiness:rotfl2:

Hmmm--packing:rolleyes1 Okay, well not in the suitcases yet. There is the tote in teh basement which ahs the WDW/DCL "stuff" in it (things we never use except there like the Fish Extender. Now there is a second tote with other things I want to bring along. I have also shoved a couple of outfits o the backs of the kids' closets in hopes they will still be in decent shape come fall:rotfl: he real worries there thoguh are Rio's tux and linen suit which are both being used as costumes in Hello Dolly so I don't know if htey will survive for the cruise or not. I hope so. I really wanted to get one more tirp out of that tux, but is it does not survive we will buy him a new one as he LOVES to wear it.

I am really beginning to think that Joe and I are going to be sleeping on Deck 4:rotfl2: :rotfl2: still don't have our stateroom assignment, maybe we can bunk with the DD's and their DBF's O wouldn't they just love that mommy in one room and daddy in the other:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

So, my DS/3 is really into pirates right now, so I have decided to change our Grand Cayman plans and add the Pirate Encounter. Is anyone else doing this? I can't decide between the 9:30 or the 11:45 :confused3 The day before is a sea day AND it is DH's birthday, so I don't know if we will feel up to getting up early for the 9:30 time :drinking1 :rolleyes1

On our last cruise the last tender was at 4:30 Maybe, that will help with your decision.
