Crissi :grouphug: I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi everyone.......it's been a VERY LONG DAY.........I got a call from my sister at 2PM that my Grandfather was taken to the hospital and he had an aortic anurism (I 'm sure the spelling is wrong) and he was going in for surgery.......they gave him a 5% chance of making it through (he is 91). I left work in a tizzy to meet the rest of my family at the hospital. He made it through surgery and now is in ICU. I got to talk to him and he did respond by shaking his head and he was looking at me so that is as good as it could be right now. At this point, all we can do is pray that he pulls through the next couple of days at least. Sorry for rambling but I needed to vent........

I can't imagine losing him even if he is 91.

Hope everyone's day was better than mine!

Crissi

Oh Crissi, Im sorry to hear about your grandfather.. I will keep him in my thoughts, and you also. Keep us posted hun!

Hi everyone…I did get back on Monday afternoon. As previously mentioned, how very sweet of you to think of me. Besides work, I did have catching up on here to do as well. In fact, there were 289 posts to read here since I had last logged in on Thursday PLUS all the posts from yesterday. Geez!! I can’t remember the last time I had so many pages to catch up on. That’s good though. That means you’re all getting excited about our vacation!

We ended up going to Boston. Charmaine (kugalbelle) and Cheryl (Chwirl), I know you’re both from MA. What a wonderful city you guys host for your state. I absolutely loved the town. It had sooooo much character and natural beauty. I would love to go back again as we just didn’t have enough time to do even half of what we wanted to. If anyone ever goes to visit, make sure you take the Duck Tours excursion, and do it on your first day so you get a glimpse of places you know you’ll want to go back to. They take you around town in a W.W.II style amphibious landing vehicle. Pretty cool. Note that you also really need to plan this in advance (not a problem for this group, no doubt) and purchase your tickets on-line as there just weren’t that many openings when he booked on-line, and in fact, almost all were sold-out. I suppose it’s possible they distribute reservations the Disney-like way by only allowing some tickets to be sold on-line, but still. It’s a “don’t miss” for tourists.

Hey…I saw a lot of great tips about excursions and taxi fares posted in the past week. I highly encourage those of you with that info to post it to our website so it’s easily found for future reference.

As promised, mblsj, I got some stats for you! There will be nine other 10 year old princesses joining your daughter, and six other 7 year old pirates for your son to hang out with. I’m looking forward to hearing more from you before we cruise!

Danielle (flower91882), did you win the fan votes for the last spot on the Wizard Girls team? I did take a look at the website, but didn’t see anything that stated who won.

Hi,
My DH and DS are wondering if there are any fellow NC cruisers on this cruise? … Does anyone have a 4 year or around that age that would like to hang out as a family at Castaway Cay? ..…

Welcome, welcome! I see that we have 6 families (which includes yourself) who are listed as being from NC. There are 40 cabins that do not have a city listed so there may be more.

I also pulled stats on the 4 year old princes. Your DS will join six other buddies his age to play with at Scuttles and the Club.

This should be included in Post #6 or #1 or whatever the heck post it is now! ……We're taking all our employees out to dinner tonight - we're celebrating two graduations (one high school, one college). …We're even taking them all to WDW in January - we are pumped!! …..Do any of you find the planning to be just as fantastic as the actual trip?...

I agree. It’s indeed added to Post #1. Jen the vision of all that going on is perfect.

You are just too kind to treat and reward your employees as you do. I truly believe you get what you give and then some. I’m sure they greatly appreciate you and your DH as employers and people.

So is it Sunday night at midnight or Monday night at midnight that the 75 dayers can start to book excursions? ...
The 75 day mark is Monday, July 14. That means Sunday going into Monday at midnight.

Hey it is Monday and I am actually remembering to post a Question of the week!
What is your favourite TV show (past or present)?

Me: Desperate Housewives, Big Brother (BB10 starts this Sunday!), Chelsea Lately, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Bewitched
Linda: Almost anything on HGTV, AKC dog shows
Ruth: Sewing with Nancy, Little House on the Prairie, Simply Quilts

Hi everyone.......it's been a VERY LONG DAY.........I got a call from my sister at 2PM that my Grandfather was taken to the hospital and he had an aortic aneurism…
Oh Crissi…..I’m so thankful that he pulled through the surgery. I’ll keep him and you and your family in my prayers. Certainly keep us posted on his progress.

.
....and Lois this one's for us:

 72 Days and Counting!:woohoo:

Crissi - so sorry to hear about your grandfather. So glad he made it through the surgery and hope he will recover quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.:grouphug:

Crissi--I will be sending good thoughts towards you and your grandfather:hug: It is so scary when those you love are ill.

Crissi ~ Prayers and pixie dust for your Grandpa and your family. :grouphug:

Kimberly ~ Welcome back and glad you had a wonderful time with your guy!

Question of the week: Grey's Anatomy, Dancing With The Stars, Lost, Jon & Kate Plus 8, and anything on HGTV.

I started watching Lost this past season and needless to say "I AM LOST"
I definitely need to watch from the first season forward unless anyone can get me up to speed. Jack is my favorite and then Sawyer (he has that tough outer shell, but is just a lost and lonely boy on the inside (like Alex on Grey's).

I love looking at the tickers everyday.....my DH is retiring 9/26 and it is a good way to keep a count down for that big day of his!

Just got my Disney Visa bill today........so much activity:eek: Refund for Delta flight, charge for new USAir flights, deposit for Helmet Dive in Cozumel, deposit for Buccaneer Catamaran in Grand Cayman, total charge for Dolphin Discovery, gas from our Ohio trip and new bicycles for us. Watching those Disney Dollars build :woohoo:

Sorry to ramble......I guess I am in a talkative mood today. Yesterday was our 37th anniversary (:dance3: ) and DGD Chelsie's 9th birthday. Had a great party and she got several Disney outfits for the cruise.

OMG - I've just rambled even more.

Crissi:

Maggie and rkandmjsmommy: I am trying to recreate the issues you guys mentioned. Do you mind if I mess with your accounts? I can't seem to see anything except if you don't type in your password right the first time, the website won't actually check the password on subsequent tries. That's rather annoying!

Crissi
My thoughts along with my prayers will be with you everyday:grouphug:

For those who have been on the cruise before how was the spa? What treatments have you done before? I'm looking at everything they offer trying to pick. I think I have it narrowed down to 3 different things at this point (doing a spa villa, the spa tester, and the aromastone therapy).

I have done the seaweed wrap on my last crusie and totally loved it:worship:

I have reserved it again this year and my wife will be doing the stone therapy:cool1:

charlie:woohoo:

did the couples also but did not like it as much as the others:rolleyes:

DH and I did a port special on our last cruise. We asked to go at the same time, so they put us in the same room. I loved my mini-facial and massage, but DH was not impressed at all. :confused3 Oh well.

Every time I travel, my back gets all out of whack. Those heated chairs at the Rainforest Room are the best to unwind all the kinks for me.

Crissi - I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Please keep us posted on his progress. We don't really have fave TV shows. We just watch The Next Food Network Star and I watch the Young and the Restless. I have watched for 24 years. I cannot imagine giving it up :thumbsup2 . I agree with Kimberly, we just got back from Boston too and it was fantastic. The people were great and the tours and food were unbelievable!!!!

We did the spa a couple of times and the only thing we don't like is all the products they try to sell you after your treatment. We also did a sub ride, but not in Grand Cayman and it was a disappointment because you don't see as much as you think. I was in another part of the Carib!

Congrats on 37 yrs w/your DH! That's an awesome accomplishment for both of you. Happy B-day to your Granddaughter.

Does anyone know if ABC is broadcast on board? I think the Nascar race will be on ABC the Sunday after we leave......might try to catch some of it if possible. If not, no worries.

You can request prior to the treatment that they do not pitch their products after the treatment:teacher:

I also found this un-comfortable

I remember the selection was EXTREMELY limited in the staterooms (as in, hard to even get the weather for home), but the bars had a huge selection of sports.

Here's a link with a list: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/movie-guide.htm

Crissi  you know our thoughts are with poppop and yoru whole family
Disneygirl02: glad your dad is doing better
Kimberly: glad you liked Boston!
Fizzgig: you can mess with my account, no prob

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

I am a big NASCAR fan too. You do get ABC in your cabin, but there is also a sports bar. When I went to the sports bar on the Sat we left, they would not put on NASCAR because they were running several football games.

Oh, :-P !! I hate it when places do stuff like that. We've run into that type of thing here at home as well.......in NC of all places - the birthplace of stockcar racing.

Don't they know racing is a sport, too? I'm not into football all that much...... I could argue about it being a sport worth watching. ;) Not trying to :stir: just stating my opinion.
