Did you all hear that Capt. Tom on the Magic said the 2010 dates/itineraries will be announced in OCTOBER?

:thumbsup2

wow...that is so far away....let me get through with this one and i will see if i will book another one....with the way i love Disney, i am sure that i will. I go to disney every year...this is our first disney cruise.:happytv:

Hi Shell! Yes, the toilets are LOUD! :) Reese usually won't flush it. It's better with the lid down but it's still pretty loud. Prepare her for a loud flush & see if she'll do it. I always ended up flushing for Reese because he was afraid of it :rotfl:

Hmmmm ... I"m anticipating a MAJOR freak out session by dd....... Oh goody. (said in my most sarcastic Scar voice ...)

Oh honey, don't get stressed!!! As stated, this is your VACATION...that doesn't mean a vacation from your preparation woes!! You'll get everything you need to finished done. I bet you always do. We always manage to do it. So if you haven't done so already, make a list, prioritize, and you'll feel so good as you mark off the most important items. If there are some left behind at the bottom of the list, just remember that Castaway Cay and Mexico are in your future!!

As for FE Fun, everyone, I had a conversation about this with someone else this week. ;) REALLY...we should not stress out about this. That is not the intention. If you don't give to everyone, I honestly don't think anyone here would be offended or care. From getting to know this group, I really think we're all not the type of people who expect to be handed things in life.

I'm not a coach (where's Erik when you need him?!!), but let me give this a shot!

Speaking for myself, if I can make just ONE person smile or laugh, I'll be happy, and I expect nothing in return. There are many of us, so if you don't give to everyone, there will certainly be something in those pockets for those you didn't leave a surprise at their door. Give what you want IF you want. Heck...a sticker for kids or any of us scrapbookers would be great! Remember....by majority vote and discussions on DISDoubleDip, I see it as we agreed that there are no "rules" other than letting us know who you are and making sure we know where to find ya! It's what you want to make of it. So that's interpretation to each individual, right?!?! Take care of YOUR vacation and families needs first!! The rest is just a cherry on top. I've reached this point (and felt so much better once I conceded to this theory), so anything left on my list is classified as cherries or sprinkles. I may not get it all done, but I know what NEEDS to be done will be. I assure you it WON'T all be done either, but that's okay. I'll have met a bunch of new friends in person in exactly 5 weeks to the hour and sharing white sandy beaches with my new friends in 36 days! THAT'S what matters. :cheer2:

Great words, Kimberly!!! And you are totally right.

It is amazing how the toilets can be jet powered and the overszed hair dryer with it's own proton pack does not seem to dry anything.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Yeah. I *have* heard that.

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

You guys rock. I may have found someone to borrow/buy a dress from and I am getting started on F/E gifts tonight.

You guys are truly the best and I can't wait to meet you all in person.

I feel much better now.

The folks on this thread are like that. :) :grouphug: Pretty awesome, huh?

LOVE THE TAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

THANK YOU for posting that. I was SURE I didn't have tags and then all of the sudden I saw them earlier this week and the quotes are from a while back so I thought I was loosing my mind and the tags had been there all along:confused3 :rotfl: I am glad they are new and the tag fairy is just a bit delayed (and THANK YOU to whoever the tag fairy is who is reading this thread). Odder yet, I don't remember WHAT that second quote is about. Does anyone else recall? (yes, I am a dip:rotfl2: ).

Not me, but I like the spelling mistake in the Tag, shows Even the Tag Fairy makes mistakes :lmao:

Oh Stacey I do wish it were the tag fairy's mistake. I am a terrible typist and it looks like one of my common typos to me (and yes I am totalyl embarrassed that my typo is right there for ever now:flower3: )

That's the truth! Those dryers are horrible...

Reese & I had a great time at the rodeo Thursday night. His favorite part of our $100 date night (entrance, parking, corn dogs, midway rides...and on and on!) was petting the goats. Which we could have done for free!:rotfl: That's where we spend the most time every year. In the kiddie petting park thing that you can go into for free (of course if you want to feed the goats you pay $1 for a cup of food, but Reese doesn't like when the goats get pushy for food so he's just happy to pet).

His second favorite thing was riding the Tilt A Whirl. I didn't even know that was still a real ride! He was just tall enough to ride, & the nice carnival man let me ride with him for free (all other rides charged Mommy tickets). Oh my gosh. It scrambled my tummy so much!

I got a fun, big box from Oriental Trading Co yesterday with all the FE gifts I ordered! Yippee!!:yay: I wasn't going to label rooms before hand, but now I think I will because some gifts are for adult cabins and others are for the kids and I'd rather just grab & go with my FE gift instead of trying to figure out which room what FE gift is supposed to go to while onboard.

I pulled out my awesome FE (thanks Tiffany!!!) and showed DH. He thinks I'm strange. I bet he'll change his mind when the FE Fairy starts visiting though!

Question...Did we ever decide on our meet-up on board the first day? I think I missed a day of the boards and I was 9 pages behind already :) Sometimes, I can't keep up with this bunch!:hyper2:

Hi All,
I am trying to prepare for this cruise and freaking out. I am nowhere near ready. I keep reading all the things everyone has done to get ready. I don't have a fish extender. Had the bright idea to steal someone's idea from the other day and use a plastic pocket. Can't find one anywhere. Went to Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Family Dollar. I also went to local fabric store and looked at material, even though I can't a sew a button on.

My F/E gifts need to be made and I am slowly working on them. Trying to gather ideas for the kiddies.

I have hunted hi and low for a formal dress and can't find anything reasonably priced or what I want. :scared1:

Okay, deep breath. It will all happen. I know it will. I used to be so organized with house, work, etc. but now with our 4 yr DS life is hard to get anything organized.

Just wanted to post and vent a bit. Feel better now.

Off to Sunday School Class Picnic party.:cool2:

Toodles

ARE YOU IN MY MIND.... we must be twins LOL. This is how I feel. I just read my TO DO list to E and he said.. HALF of it is not MANDITORy..... man if looks could kill.. We can do this "SIS" LOL baby steps. and in 5weeks it will be done! I HOPE!

Don't stress! I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to get all of my F/E gifts done so I'm going to give people IOUs and my email address. If they want one, they can email me with their address and I"ll be more than happy to send it to them in the mail. I"ll bring along what I have done and pass those out, but I decided it is not worth stressing about it.

Have a great time at your picnic! :)

HAHA great IDEA... seriously thats good thoughts on that LOL! no need to stress! LOVE IT! why didnt i think of that.. :confused3

Hi - Does anyone have a good but affordable photo printer that prints larger sizes? I have an all in one lexmark X5470 but the pictures are not coming out so hot..........

Congrats on the tags, Hadley!!! No worries about the typing...we all love ya for reasons beyond typing skills! {{hugs}}

Google found your quote! You're Post #9!

BTW, if any of you are freaked out by snakes, use THIS link instead of the one below. This link is for the post ONLY. I noticed with a skip in my heart that the post following Hadley's has an unexpected PC intruder.

Thread: How in the world did it get in there??

Not yet...the poll is open through end of day August 31. I'll update Post #1 as well as DIS Double Dip when it's decided as well so you don't miss it. :-)

awww

I actually remove my tags after a while.. We had a donation Tag thread at one time and it was really great to see your old tags on someone else..

I had a really awesome Tag once, but, refreshed my profile and *poof* away it went. I was so upset and begged for it back, but, I never did have it return.

So now, I know better then to attatch myself to a Tag

And if mines not done, I'm STILL getting on that boat!!!!!!!! I can buy whatever I need on the ship ... or somewhere. :)

haha... ya even E got skured with the Flush O'matic 2000 when we were on the SS Booze cruise last year. Yup that big bad tough Marine scared of a toilet... AHHH MY HERO! :rotfl2:

ROTFL!!! I use that phrase with my son ALL the time. :) Love it.

But ... that does make me very apprehensive of the toilets.

***WARNING: Potty Humor Used Below***

DH adores the toilets on the ship; no clogged toilets he has to fix for his "girls" for a week! :thumbsup2 :rotfl: He is steadfast in his belief that only girls clog toilets. He thinks we sneak constipation cookies while his back is turned. He gets his revenge by stinking up the house. :rotfl:

Kimberly, I hope you are :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: thinking of my poor DH trapped in this house of horrors. Little did you know that husbands are good for more than just opening jars... oh no! Husbands are the resident plumbers with the magic plunger!
=====
Fiona made us push the flush button the first few times, but now she's fine with them. She just complains each time about how loud they are.

Last year when our son flushed the toilet the first time, we hear "Whoa" and he comes running out of the bathroom. we had a good laugh over it. :rotfl:

The hair dryers are scary too.

I wanted to know how many of you actually added the insurance to your costs....also how many of you got passports as well. I did not do either. I want to know from the ones who have sailed before if you always added insurance or if it really is necessary. your comments about this is very important...thanks

We always get trip insurance. And considering the time of year (hurricanes) we did not think twice about getting it. We also got passports (got them for a cruise last year).

OK Was looking at the Excarta thread on the main forum and E walked by and said that looks cool were is that. Told him Cozumel and he was wondering why were not going there instead of just doing the beach break thing... So anyone else doing this... or that HAS done it.

Would it be ok for P and J. J's not that great of a swimmer just learned this summer really. I see you wear a life vest but still. Also is it worth the 45min there and back?

More importantly.. is there still time to do some shopping??? :rotfl:
I've been to Excaret on another cruise line. It is a wonderful place that I highly recommend, but ONLY if you have the full day to devote to it. IMHO, the time available on the Disney cruises just isn't enough at all. Yes, the kids can have a lot of fun snorkeling, watching the plays, looking at all the animals. The underground river is long, cold, and you must wear a life jacket. Some people panic in the dark but it is not clastrophobic at all and the dark lasts for just a few minutes. With Disney, there is zero time for shopping. It just would not be as relaxing enough to me to try it on this cruise.
OliverOAS: Whole Foods is gooood. :) I would like to go back to Europe with the family, but I think I need to wait a bit until DH gets older and can sit still for long periods of time on a plane without squirming. ;) Our trip to Paris was a bit... long... for DH, who had nothing to eat thanks to the airline messups. :headache: Next time, First class tickets!

Ok, that's enough parental blather. I love my "girls." :)
I love it that you blame all the squirming on Jeremy and not my grandbaby!! And yes, I love my girls whole bunches! :flower3:

I love to sew. I've made a couple of FEs. I also have one to finish for this cruise plus another for a friend who is cruising 2 weeks after us. Would you like me to make one for you? It's no trouble, really.

:pixiedust:
And Happy Birthday to all us Leos! :dance3:
