Good question. In an effort to not advertise anyone's stateroom number, could we use a "code" for the message boards? Perhaps "FE[old number]-[new number, written backwards]"?

For example, we're in 7122, and we involuntarily get upgraded to 8030 (Google that one!). Message board says:

FE7122-0308

8030...I love that one!!!! LOL!!!!! Can I take a tour of your cabin?

Yeah I don't know why they are so slow in issuing them.
I looked at Savannah's and it wasn't issued until almost FIVE MONTHS after she was born.....
So of course I got on the phone and...guess....Dept. of vital stats is *closed* due to inclement weather....(FAY)

Is there any part of this state she didn't hit???? (Oh yeah...here... )

Erik/Hadley/Sandi/Chris/(anyone else I missed), I'm sure this was something you guys had to deal with on the TransAtlantic. What did you do?

Um...I guess we could use some kind of a code system (for fish extenders and secret mickeys).....but no we didn't deal with that on the TransAtlantic. We just posted everyone's screenname and their room number on the doors as we heard about room changes......and every single cabin who was a part of our DIS Group also had their screennames and cabin numbers listed on our group's separate roll call website AND in our "DIS Personal Mini-Navigator"-----which was a little pamphlet printed up church bulletin style...or like the program at a recital. It included a list of every DIS person's screenname and room number....a list of all the special activities we had planned prior to the cruise (like the pajamas breakfast, the sailaway meets...one of our fellow cruisers actually did a scrapbooking craft class one afternoon in Animator's where she had designed a beautiful little scrapbook for all of us and brought all the supplies pre-cut and everything and we assembled them together as a group, etc.)...and if anyone was celebrating something aboard the ship and had shared that...it was included in a little calendar that was in that booklet. The booklet was then passed out to every DIS person when they picked up their lanyard and their rubber bracelet (we had ordered those for that trip, too).

So on our trip we really didn't have anyone express concerns about having their stateroom known by others or anything....so we didn't have to deal with that. If that seems to be a concern that lots of people here are having then we probably should come up with some kind of code I guess.

Erik, as if I wasn't already jealous of the TA'ers, MAN YOU CANNOT TOP THAT EXPERIENCE!!! What an awesome group of people and quality time you had available to you to spend together!!

For me personally, I don't have an opinion about the screen names/cabin numbers being posted. I was just throwing that idea out there (before I saw you posted, btw) as a consideration if some may not want that all posted for everyone on the ship to see. No votes coming from me!!

For those who don't know, the design I made for the font's background is replicating the OSU football team's helmets. The players earn "merit badges" in the form of buckeye leaf stickers. I am not trying to push the other *cough* 5-leaved plant.

I found another "I don't want to go" stomping feet graphic last night that I printed off today! I THOUGHT I was DONE with magnets!!!!!! Ohhhh no...I printed off 6 more today. Geez!

I have received some great car rental rates over the internet...i do not know what i will do without the internet i tell you...you call the agency itself and they give those outrageous prices but you go on the internet and get it for half or even less the price of their quotes...they are such a rip off. anyway, i have several prices that i am looking at...of course i have made the reservations and still looking and if come upon better price, i xcel the previous one...i need to start packing...i need to get a binder going and i need to get in contact with my travel agent to find out when getting docs....so much to do and so little time left

Hi Oliver! The answer is......sort of? My husband was stationed in Germany back in his army days so he likes to throw around the language. His handle on his boards (geeky game boards, not DIS) used to be Einhund, and then as a joke I said we should be zweihund since there are two of us (that was after we got married). Then we had two dogs so it was fitting, but now we are back down to one so it's less fitting. Does that make sense? It's all DH

Someone on the DIS said that they recommended wearing water shoes because where you have to stand is slippery. We are all wearing them.

We did the dolphin excursion in Nassau and we were informed we needed to remove everything but our bathing suits including our water shoes

The grate you Knee on, hurt your knees and was slimy and they made you get to the edge of it
