I agree. If you haven't spent time looking around the boards learning tips and tricks, then it would be worth it I suppose. Otherwise, you could write the book yourself! I found maybe 2 things that I didn't already know thanks to the DIS family!

OK...I SOOOOO needed that pep talk. I'm doing better today so we'll see what happens. I sent a long email to the administration talking about what it takes to get the information to them and how, for right now, 2 hours to parce through the data is just not enough time. I think we are moving in the right direction.

I agree. If you haven't spent time looking around the boards learning tips and tricks, then it would be worth it I suppose. Otherwise, you could write the book yourself! I found maybe 2 things that I didn't already know thanks to the DIS family!

Best tip I got from there was to lift your bed mattress up and store suitcases under mattress. You cannot get to under the bed from the side.

Doug and I are "Class of '68" too! I'm starting to feel old! O, wait! Today is my Birthday and I am getting old!

OK - I obviously posted this too late last night! I am actually class of '86, I was born in '68! DUH

I have mixed these numbers up before. When I ordered my class ring, senior year I received a call from the jeweler that they couldn't put "Class of '68" on my ring and did I mean "Class of '86"?

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes! The kids got me the HSM sing along game for the Wii (well - they don't know they got it for me yet!) and Doug got me a new Ipod Nano!

My Mom is coming up form Wilmington today and I'm sure she is going to be relentless about turning 40. I'm hoping reminding her that she is the Mother of a 40 year old child will stop her teasing, but I doubt it.

Hey lurking a bit this afternoon and caught this post......yes there is a contingency plan.....I think I might have mentioned this once before...or maybe thought to do so and never did.....but i would recommend that those who change rooms or get upgrades go around and post that information on the "message center" doors. That way if you are planning on giving fish extender gifts to specific rooms/individuals...you can check the door to see if any of the recipients have listed a new room number.

Of course the other contingency plan that someone else mentioned is just to bring something generic (not specific to kid or adult or whatever) and bring a LOT of it...and then just roam the ship deck to deck and put it in every fish extender you see.....then you KNOW you've covered all your bases!

I saw this while just checking in quickly (time is spare time is just not exitent this week). My apologies for thigns I have missed (like birthdays it appears) as I have nto even had time to read this week.

Anyway--drop by the message boards on each deck on day one and put your change down (that is what we did on the TA) and hopefully everyone will drop by in the first day or two before the boards are filled up and we have to erase that to put new info on (write small so there is plenty of room for everyone to make their changes known).

Kimberly, you were asking who the docs come to, they come to the person whose name the reservation is in. It will include the docs and luggage tags for all those in that party.

For those who are curious, I did get only one of my two packets. I think it is because I have one room as a group rate and one room that is not. I got the one that is in the group...so those of you with TA group rooms it may be sooner than later.

Mr. UPS was back at my house today dropping my magnet paper...3 days! Awesome turnaround for a non-expedited online order. The paper itself is nice too. It isn't too thick (9mil)...which is a good thing for my printer. And the glossy finish looks very nice. Should keep me busy for awhile.

I have that rum pic somewhere too. I was working in photoshop tonight at work and I'm not yet able to remove text either. It think it involves adding layers and stuff...vectors...rasters.... eh. Not so good at it yet. But if I ever figure it out I'll edit it up for you!

Next project: getting Sarah's birth certificate. She's 3 months old for crying out loud....and I'm going to have to call and pay for an expedited one or something now. Hopefully they *can* get me one.....

During lunch, I worked on a new magnet for me. I had an AH HA moment on how to make this in PowerPoint. I'm rather pleased with it.

Good question. In an effort to not advertise anyone's stateroom number, could we use a "code" for the message boards? Perhaps "FE[old number]-[new number, written backwards]"?

For example, we're in 7122, and we involuntarily get upgraded to 8030 (Google that one!). Message board says:

FE7122-0308

Erik/Hadley/Sandi/Chris/(anyone else I missed), I'm sure this was something you guys had to deal with on the TransAtlantic. What did you do?
