Absolutely right. WDW stopped their official Disneyana Conventions after 2001. We have a group of friends/disers/collectors who were disappointed that they cancelled the 3 day annual conventions so we plan our own every 2 years. There are 50 of us from all parts of the US that will be gathering at WDW (in mostly DVC resorts) starting tomorrow. My DH & I will not be going until Sunday, but most of the folks want to do MNSSHP.ok since it was driving me crazy not knowing for sure.. I Winkipedia'd it LOL
Disneyana is a term for toys, books, animation celluloids, theme-park souvenirs, and other collectibles produced by The Walt Disney Company, featuring such characters as Mickey Mouse and Tinker Bell. While used informally among collectors in the 1960s and 1970s, the term was brought to prominence with the publication of Disneyana: Walt Disney Collectibles by Cecil Munsey in 1974 (Hawthorn Books Inc.)
Disneyana hobbyists grew exponentially throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and today's collectors can find Disney items for sale at a variety of online auction sites, as well as at regional and international comics and other collectors shows.
The term Disneyana is not copyrighted, although The Walt Disney Company has opened a Disneyana Store on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland.[1] In general, Disneyana produced during Walt Disney's lifetime (19011966) is considered to be among the most desired and valuable of this genre.[citation needed]
The online auction company eBay uses it as a category in its searches.
I figured it had to deal with being a Disney lover of some sort but wanted to be sure

Tonya & Jeff (Epperbiker), I was watching the Dolphin Discovery DVD tonight. Can I just say Cameron, Jaren, and Braden are TOOOOOO adorable and overflowing with delight?!!! I love it!
I just had a cavity filled and my mouth is SOOOOO numb! I feel like a chipmunk!
Hope everybody is having a good day!!!
Hope you feel better soon!
Okay - the "rain" we were supposed to have all day is big fat fluffy flakes!!! It wasn't so bad earlier but now it's beginning to stick to the cars!!!I didn't even bring gloves this morning!
Looks like the world series may be delayed longer than expected! That's okay as the weather will be nice towards the end of the week (perfect for a nice parade.
Ok..I can honestly say that the post trip depression has set in and can't be removed. Its cold in South Louisiana (who the heck would have thought) and while the sun is out my sunny personality has disappeared. I've got yet ANOTHER sinus infection and just want to go home and curl up in bed.My boss is out of town until tomorrow so I"m holding down the fort so to speak but I think the productivity level today is going to be a -5 at best. Thank goodness we did the bulk of Elliott's Halloween activities last weekend....Friday night we are just taking him to a local plantation that has an 1800 style halloween program. Other than that, we have nothing planned for this weekend so maybe I can curl up in bed and rest (yeah right...who the heck am I kidding?
)
Hope you feel better soon!

We're not getting any snow up! I want some big fat fluffy flakes too! Just even one fluffy flake I'd be happy with!!!! I think I'll do the snow dance!![]()
LOL! If it works, let me know how to do that dance!!!!
Well the doc gave me a shot yesterday of antibiotics and a ton of other stuff so hopefully by Friday I"ll be feeling much better!Oh no. I sure hope you feel much better!!!
Sounds like a really cool Halloween program to go to. Let us know what they do and how it goes. I think that would be fun.!!!
We went last year....they hang apples from the trees for the kids to bite on and take with them, carve spaghetti squash as jack o lanterns, string them and add a light stick for the little ones to carry, they have a tarrot card reader and someone talking about superstitions. The house itself isn't open but you can peek in the windows to see a wake (the 'widow' is walking around the house all night crying). They tell ghost stories but they guage how scary by the crowd, there is a bonfire with caramel appels and kettle corn over it, a hay maze...stuff like that. Its nice, quiet, and gives a little bit of a history lesson which makes me happy.
This is the 'offical' write up for it:
