I believe we had them!
We had Liam from Jamaica...our third cruise with him!

oh my I am Jealous!!! We had Liam in December and he was The Best!! and I didn't even think to see if he was still on or back on the Magic :sad2:

We had Rodel from the Phillip, and Maija from Croatia. they were both very sweet, but service did take a long time. We had Liam last year on our cruise, he was the table over from us and he recognized us. I like how he calles everyone My people, my people. ( we talked to him for a while on deck, he was off for a few months to have surgery.) I noticed Jerry wasnt with him this year.

We actually started the first night with Oppie and sad to say it was the worst service we had ever had on a Disney cruise. He was completely distracted, and the meal took absolutely forever. Luckily, that was when we saw our former server from another cruise and found out that he had a table with plenty of openings so we switched over. Now this was a choice we made, but we later found out that Oppie "chastised" our server for "stealing us" - again, not something we were impressed with.

 Wow...that is horrible about Oppie! The meal did take a long time the first night, but after that everything went smoothly. We LOVED Marko! He was so great!!!!

I'm glad you were able to switch over to your former server...when I go on another cruise, I would love to have Marko was a server. :)

WE had Ivan from Bulgaria and Valerie from France, We LOVED LOVED LOVED them, they were great to us and our kids! We got a great pic of the kids and them the last night, Valerie always referred to Erik and Matthew as "baby" it sounded so cute in her french accent, and Rachel liked how she said "smoothie" I would request them again in a heartbeat

:sad1: You know, this cruise thread was so unique....I have been looking at some of the upcoming cruise threads and they just aren't quite the same.

So I was looking at some of the Med cruises for 2010 and the return in September really has a nice schedule....but 2 weeks - wow - have any of you done that before?popcorn::

Jason and I did the EastBound TA last year (with Hadley, Sandi, Chris, Rob, etc.) and we loved it. We're booking the Westbound TA AND the last Med for 2010....so we're not spending 2 weeks...we're spending MORE THAN THREE WEEKS on the ship. That's about as close to Nirvana as it woudl get for us! :rotfl2:

So what kind of things do they have on sea days - I mean does it get old (I know bad question to ask since you were on the Magic - how can that get old) but I mean do they have different activities and things than the 7 day?

I spoke with Doug this morning and called my TA from Small World and she is moving our Dummy Date to the Westbound Transatlantic! 14 wonderful (err - Magical that is) days on the Magic.

Doing the happy dance in NC! :cool1: :cool1: :dance3: :cool1: :cool1:

Now I've got to get sewing to pay for it! :rotfl2:

So how does that work since you can't make reservations until the 14th? Do the TAs have earlier access? That's awesome for you!!!!!

OK...did anyone end up with PINK EYE??? Reese was rubbing his eyes yesterday, but I didn't make much of it. Today...it's pink eye for sure. Ugh. I guess it could have come from the airplane...but seriously. First the runny nose & cough. Now pink eye?

And Jeff, poor Jeff. On the boat, he was eating cold Milk Duds that I had brought along & hurt his tooth. Didn't think much of it because it wasn't all that painful. Wellll...yesterday he was miserable but wouldn't go to the dentist (fear). Last night was the 2nd night he couldn't sleep...this morning he was curled up on the floor in tears. Went to the denist. Abcessed tooth. Root canal needed. No insurance for that. ACK!:scared1: Poor guy...

So we're a barrel of fun here today!!

Jason and I were never bored....the do a lot more activities and they repeat a number of the existing activities. So there are things on the 7-night that you might not get to do because they conflict with dinner or a show or some other thing your'e doing.....but they offer them several times throughout the trip so you can do them later if you miss them the first time. We found there were more offerings of things like tours and the such. There are more variety act shows aboard, too. They do special shows in the Walt Disney Theater onboard, as well. (They do a great one called "Art of the Story" that Jason and I loved). For the crossings they usually have a celebrity of some kind...or a few...to entertain as well. On last year's Eastbound TA Boys 2 Men and Jim Brickman were both aboard for part of the trip and did shows. There are more character opportunities. The do more organized game things during the day....like big group pictionary and scattegories tournaments. There's even more bingo. More Dance lessons and more themed parties on deck.

Basically there's just more of everything MAGICal!! :thumbsup2

That is so funny - last night I was showing that itinerary to DH and he was really interested - would be funny if we end up on the same cruise again! Would you be my Secret Mickey again  :goodvibes

Thanks so much for the info - I had wondered and this makes me feel much better!

She was AMAZING - I will be posting pics on my TR as I go forward of the gifts she gave us/made.

I woke up on Sunday morning with a bad head-cold. Still have it today. I am thankful that it didn't affect my cruise, but it just adds to the post-vacation depression. Not to mention that we came home to typical oregon weather...RAIN. The group pictures looks great. I wish we could have made it. Our experience with the kids club was o.k. DD make close friends with a couple of girls, but I do think that she got bored at times. DS liked it sometimes and other times cried when we told him he had to go. It was very chaotic in there at times, especially when they mixed the older kids kids with the younger kids. I just don't see how they could have possibly been able to keep track of everyone :confused3

Hey Arin - My DD was talking about a girl she was hanging out with at the club and it turned out to be your DD. Funny how they ended up together.

I saw Michele all the time...she had a secret???

Hey Val - I ran into her a lot too. I didn't know she had a secret either!

HI everyone. We are home and thinking reality stinks but missing the cruise;)

We had a great time and I want to be sure to say Thank You to everyone who left wonderful surprises in our Fish Extender day after day after day.

Also--a really big THANK YOU to whoever my (still a secret) secret Mickey was. We LOVE:love: the aprons. We also think it is really cool that the only other time we did secret Mickey we got a Disney Cookbook--so now we can use our secret Mickey gifts together and bake up a strom.

Hey BUCKEYE GAL! Are you feeling better? Did your Mom get her luggage?

Hey there, Jeff! Yes, she did finally get it. I think she said it arrived at her doorstep yesterday afternoon. She lives about 75 minutes from the Columbus airport, which is where we flew into. I told her about all you did to get it back to MCO so quickly. She said she had vmails from you guys (maybe your mom??) as well. Thank you SO much for taking care of that. Did your DM get her luggage?

I'm still feeling miserable, not unlike others here, it seems. Actually, maybe worse than last week. However, the antibotics I got in Cozumel did do their job in clearing up the yuckies from my lungs. I did pretty much NOTHING Sunday and have been getting 9 hours of sleep a night (unheard of here), yet still exhausted. I slept in my car for over an hour the past two days for my "lunch" time. I felt feverish today, too. DM said that DGM is now sick with a fever, however, I'm not suppose to know that. (shhhh)

I haven't made the time to elaborate on my gratitude to so many of you for the incredible FE gifts and gifts of other kinds. :grouphug: :lovestruc Thank you so much!!! I have been so touched by you guys in so many ways.

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for this contractor to come and turn our gas back on. While I was gone, they had to turn it off in the neighborhood, but need to come in your home to get it all turned back on. They were suppose to show up last night, but that didn't happen. I'm suspecting it's not going to happen tonight, either, because no one called me back today. GRRRR I'm getting a little tired of the cold hair washes and the cup-o-showers with boiling water from the range. I would LOVE a hot warm bath right now!!!! Thankfully the temps are not too low yet where I need to turn on the furnace. However, 49 degrees in the morning is a far cry from the 90s last week! I tell ya...if it is not one thing (powerless, for instance), it's another!

There has been discussions around service. I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I wasn't particularly thrilled with our stateroom host, Leonard. I never even saw him until Monday morning. DM and DGM saw him right before we went to dinner on Saturday night, but that was the first we knew of who was tending to our room that week. I thought we were going to have to leave a written note to let him know we needed the bed separated! Those of you around me, did you have stellar service? Our dining server was Angelina from Chile. She was awesome and very sincere. Our Assistant Server, Miki (I think from Sweden), however, wasn't on top of things. Our drinks ran low often and dishes were not cleared away very timely. Oh well....there are worse things that can happen! Sorry so many of you had issues with the kids' clubs. That bothers me, and I didn't have any little munchkins in there.

Since its a holiday weekend for me, maybe I'll get around to going through my pics and pass along photos of some of you that I captured sooner than later.

I was also wondering about TVEPFOX Michele's secret!!! Michele?????? Remember when I mentioned that she seemed to be dropping work-related comments about her vacation so often that I hoped she wasn't going to spend her cruise working her tail off? Her response was she had something she could share when we got on the ship. I saw you often, Michele, so I'm certain you had a lot of free, fun time, which is what matters!

I hope everyone gets to feeling better soon!!!
