ROTFL!!!! My son was in here when I was reading this, and he read your comment about Brittany. He literally LOL and nodded! LOL!! I guess he's been chatting with her. :) I'm so glad they all became such good friends.

Umm without looking at the list.. Is your DS Jared?

You're home in chilly PA! I was quite chilly when we landed on Saturday!

How was WDW?

Glad you're home safely!

It is chilly and I LOVE IT!
I had a GREAT time talking to you and Dave...cant wait to hear more about wedding plans
WDW was ok...we were VERY tired, MNSSHP was AWESOME, NO crowds...
And the people at WDW just arent as friendly, nice, helpful etc as DCL, DCL puts WDW to shame!!!

We gave out the red/white pens with "Dis Double Dip" "9/27/08-10/4/08" "Beacuse one day at Castaway Cay just isnt enough!!!!"
The F/E was a blast, kids loved it!

We had a GREAT time but...we are NOT every year cruisers...we didnt rebook and probably wont cruise again for a few years, Disney is TOP OF THE LINE, cruising just isnt our thing.
It was GREAT meeting so many people!

Those were AWESOME!!! I love pens, and that was a great idea. Thanks!!!

We were just the opposite. We loved cruising, and every one of us would go back TODAY if given the chance. We're trying so hard to get a cruise planned before my son goes into the Marines.

Umm without looking at the list.. Is your DS Jared?

:rolleyes1 Ummmmmmmmm yeah. That would be him. Is that bad?????????? :)

By the way - Drea - PLEASE tell E thanks, again, for chatting with Jared. I really appreciate the time E spent with him - and so does Jared. I sure enjoyed meeting all of you, too!!!! You're such a fantastic family.

Dave and I are both loving the chilly weather too! I'll take it anyday over humid weather! :)

Well...as far as the wedding is concerned, we took my ring to get sized today...it's going to take 2 weeks! :scared1: It feels so weird not having it on my finger!

When do you have to go back to work?

AQW: Ditto about the 3-4 year old Club! I think we're done with Disney after this latest bit of insanity at the Oceaneer's Club. Fiona was hurt by counselors TWICE and not one of them said anything. I went to check Fiona in after swimming one morning and was told she had gotten into TWO FIGHTS. Ya think they coulda said something when she was picked up or maybe PAGED US???? :headache:

DCL People overall were great, but I think we're done. I'm still deciding on cancelling the 2009 double dip, but that ship isn't getting any younger. :confused3
=======
You Fish Extender crazies: HOLY COW you guys are amazing!!! Fiona was LOVING all the gifts! She loved to make "lists" with the notebooks, and was ecstatic over all the candy and toys! THANK YOU!!!

I can't imagine the Princess getting into two fights! She's so sweet!

No, not at all.. But she talks to and about "Jared" ALOT so I assumed that was him.. ;)

Aha!!!! I see. :) Jared has kept pretty quiet about things on the ship (what happens down in Mexico, stays in Mexico, I guess .....), but has a very cute (guilty) grin when he does mention his "friends" on the boat. :)

I will say that he had a very good time and would go back right NOW if he could. :)

I can't imagine the Princess getting into two fights! She's so sweet!

Yeah, exactly!!! Fiona doesn't fight. We've never gotten that feedback from 3+ years of day care, and the kid doesn't hit us, no matter how frustrated we've made her!

Yeah, we'll see. :confused3

I can't imagine Fiona getting in a fight, much less TWO fights. Jumping up and down like a crazy person, yes, fighting, no. ;)

The kids' club incident...

So anyway, a long story to say our experience with the youth activities was very uneven. Dexter would live in the Club/Lab if he could, and after the incident Celeste had to be bribed to set foot in the Club again. (They arranged a private audience with Mickey in order to entice her to come play again). If we were cruising again tomorrow (don't I wish!) I would still let Dexter enjoy the programs as much as he wanted, but I wouldn't take Celeste in there at all. She's still traumatized - she keeps making me promise that I won't make her go in there again "because nobody would help me, Mommy" :( Not the lasting memory I want my 3yo to have of the Disney cruise, kwim?

Luckily, she has plenty of other wonderful memories to counteract the incident - she had a blast at the Mickey pool, going down the slide, chasing bubbles on Castaway Cay with "Miss Heather and her pirate boy" (I have no idea why she remembers him as a pirate!), meeting so many characters, developing her first crush (on "Mr. Lazslo" our assistant server). She cried getting off the ship, so even with all the trauma and drama, she still loves the Mickey boat. :cloud9:

Our son did not like the kids club either and he goes to half day preschool every day. I went to pick him up one night and could not find him anywhere.:scared1: There were literally 200 kids in there. He was in the 3-4 yr old group. Every time we left him we were paged except twice (Cozumel we left him on the boat and Palo night) Anyway, this was a time I was paged and went to find him and he was nowhere. I checked all the areas and finally asked a counselor. She couldn't find him and made an announcement for him to come up to the stage, he did not and she checked the boys bathroom and no luck there. I was beginning to get a little panicked at this point. He finally emerged from behind somewhere and he too had been hiding because he did not like the club. I felt really bad for him and annoyed too that the main reason we cruise is so the whole family can have a much needed break ocassionally. We don't just dump him in the kids club but want him to enjoy his vacation with other kids since he is an "only" I was not at all impressed with the kids club but just assumed it was because Disney has so many kids on their boats. I am probably going to get kicked off the boards but think we will go back to Royal Carribean next year.

We did however truly enjoy our first Disney cruise other than the kids club and we thought overall the food quality was not quite as good as some of the other lines.

We did think Disney excelled in some areas of service such as the service on the private island with the water and towels being handed out as we got back on the boat. And in her defense, Ms. Grumpy was having trouble with the ice cream station. Apparently one whole station ran out of icecream and angry Castaways wanted more, more more. :rotfl:

My 12 year old LOVED it and stayed in there as much as he possibly could. My kids are content without a ton of structure, though.

Oh my goodness. That is so so so very sad to me. No child...NO child should go through that. I hope that she can recover easily and only focus on the good memories as the days ahead pass. Hugs for her and for you.

My 3 yo dd just bawled when we had to say good bye to Snow White. She was the most *wonderful* character with kids. She was so nurturing and loving, and my daughter fell in love with her (and I HATE the story of Snow White .... :confused3 ). She really did a great job.

My 4 yo ds fell in love with Snow White. He did not even know who she was before the cruise and now constantly talks about her and how pretty she was. When he first saw her and we went back to our room he said "They picked the perfect lady to be Snow White."

Yeah, we'll see. :confused3

When my twin and I were in nursery school, the teachers would always say that 'we' were starting trouble, even if we weren't. :confused3 I may have been a spit-fire, I was never a trouble-maker. :thumbsup2

We are home also in chilly PA. MNSSHP was great! Already planning on going next year. Now back to reality. Wash :laundy: :laundy:

Also, when we got to our house Kristen's car had a flat tire so we had to deal with that turns out it is not her tire at all but her rim is bad so being the good mommy I gave her my car and will deal with getting her car fixed tomorrow. Guess the wash might have to wait

They really did pick the perfect one. Jaydin didn't know who she was, either - other than knowing the differences in the princesses. The first time we saw her, she stopped in the middle of the hall, took my dd by the hand, moved to the side, stooped down to Jaydin's level, and talked only to her. It was a very magical moment, and we will cherish it forever. She was just awesome. All of the CMs and photographers agreed, too. They said that she's the best.

Laundry .... I'm on the 5th load, I think. Maybe I can get the rest in 2 more loads. We'll see.

One last post before I turn in. Please pray for our safe driving tomorrow. We are leaving FL and heading back to NC. We have been staying with relatives since the cruise and head out early in the AM

We also have the crud. Started getting it early in the cruise Tuesday and Wednesday being the worst. Yesterday, Sunday, we were just wiped out and spent as much of the day as possible resting/sleeping.

Sorry to hear so many of us got the crud. Maybe we should tell Disney there was an outbreak and we want a do-over cruise. LOL :rotfl:

Dear Aunt let us do many loads of :laundy:

Going back to work Wed. after about a 12 hr drive tomorrow.

I agree about Snow White. She made our first cruise amazing on the Wonder, and Mom and I have wonderful pictures from this cruise of her spending time with Fiona.

Ok, I need to go spend time with the family. Ya'll take care, and it was lovely meeting you guys! The lanyards were amazing and extremely helpful! Thanks again for all the loot in the fish extenders! It definitely made our days! :thumbsup2

Denise: watch out I am stalking you. :rotfl:

I am almost done with my :laundy: I am just now washing the autographed pillowcases. I think I have done 10 loads of laundry. :laundy:

Hope everyone is feeling better!

Anyone booking any of the Europe trips in 2010? I would love to do one of the trips. :)

My mom took my car in for an oil change while I was gone and guess what? I needed a new battery! Thankfully it didn't die anywhere...I hope the car gets fixed soon!

Did your DD take her ring in to get sized yet? I took my ring in today and it's going to take 2 weeks! I feel so strange without it on!
