"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Chapter 4!

Amy and Dave called in tonight. They are having a great time. They spent the day at Epcot and had a fabulous dinner at Le Cellier. They were heading back to the resort to relax as they want to be at rope drop at the AK tomorrow and then they have their first MNSSHP tomorrow night (with dinner at LTT).

For me - 3 more days!!! Just have to keep the weather disturbances away long enough for me to fly out on Friday!!!! Either that or they need to speed up and get here and gone before hand

We are leaving early Wed. for a long drive to FL with a 4 yr old. Fun huh???????????

We are so excited we can't wait. I am definitely like the parents that can't sleep.

I still have a fear of flying. However, my fear of being stuck in a car with my DH and two children for almost two days far exceeds it.

i know shorts are not allowed in the dining room, but capris are. what about bermudas, which are in the middle of the two lengths? would knee length bermudas paired with a nice top be considered ok? if not, please let me know asap, as then i have some shopping to do!

I think they'll be fine. I'm planning on wearing some with a cute top and cute heels.

While we are on the topics of food. I love Schlotzky's Deli but we don't have one around. Does anyone know of one right off of I-95 between GA and FL for our lunch on the way down Wed. I looked at their website today and the only way you can find locations is to type in a zipcode. Since I am not familiar with the area I can't search.

We have a TomTom but it is not always up to date and we have chased down Schlotzky's before and then went to find it closed up or a different thing in its place.

I need to plan my precruise meals. HELP anyone with valid info on a current open Schlotzskys.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that place. I miss it so much! There isn't one around here either.
You've now made me Really hungry too. hahahaha.

So far all that I have packed are the FE and gifts and some of the carry on stuff. I have moved mine and the DDs dinner clothes to the guest room closet. I am not too worried. It is supposed to hit the 80s all week here so I can't pack shorts for myself or DH yet since we are still needing them.

Just got back from the doctor's too. My little guy has a sore throat too . I think the excitement is getting to all of us. Why did I laugh at the bubble wrap idea? ... it's payback now .


It'll be soooo good once we are all on this ship .... "Just gotta make it there" is my new mantra

I hope all the sick kiddos and adults are feeling better soon.

I remember those days before kids when I would make Chris get up early so we could be there when the park opened. Glad to hear they are having a great time.

Hi all,
I wanted to know if anyone had done the Island tour in Grand Cayman. We are set up to do the stingrays that morning and I thought it might be fun to do the Island tour later. Do you just hop a cab at the pier or are there companies that have island tours at the pier?
Any help please.

As far as 'Hell' goes, IMHO I would not reccommend it...I found it to be a huge waste of time, not to mention very dirty. I would think that for a 'major tourist attraction' it should be maintained better. There was garbage and bottles all over the place, like a huge waste area...complete with the smell. There is a small gift shop with your usual souvenirs, but again for me, not worth what we paid. Who knows, maybe it was the heat , all I remember is leaving that place very cranky.

From past expierience, you'd be amazed at what people wear to dinner!

Seriously though, I plan on wearing a pair of capris or two...O.K., maybe 3 for dinner, with nice dressy tops. I think you might be O.K. with bermuda shorts as well...again with a nice top and maybe a pretty pair of sandels...hope this helps!

Jeninpa took the both girls to the doc today. They both have sinus congestion and irritated throats from coughing. Zithromax and prednisone for both of them. My son also spent the night in the ER with a very bad asthma attack. He didn't look to good tonight when we saw him.

Couldn't get in to the doc today, but talked to her on the phone late afternoon. She still thinks its poison ivy gave me another prescription for prednisone and said it had to take its course. Easy for her to say!!!!
She said to call her if this second course of prednisone doesn't work. Wonder if she would take a collect call from MX???? LOL My DH is really upset that she is blowing this off.

Seriously, thanks for the well wishes and I will call again tomorrow about being in the sun. I am thinking it might be worth the $$$ to make a trip to the ER also. I am also going to look for TECH NU that you recommended.

The funny thing is my sister has the same thing and we weren't close to each other.

I'm not a drinker, but I may start this cruise!!!!!

On another note ~ I have been trying to get directions from Rainforest Cafe in DTD back to my hotel unsuccessfully. It wants and address and then it won't recongize it. The same thing is happening when I try for directions from Magic Kingdom back to the hotel. Any ideas?
