One bag packed-- formal clothes and some things for semi-formal night. We can fill up nine more.

The kids keep reminding me we're leaving in a little more than a week, and oldest ds is starting to pick out his clothes because he's eager to get started.

Hoping everyone with weather problems recovers soon.

Hey, Julie. How is Alex?

goofy2luv - Please do not stress over thhis vacation.....I am guily of this too. In fact, the girls I work with think that this vacation is the reason for my "mystery illnesses." I think I just need a good vacation! We all just want it to be perfect, but we all know that perfect is not always the best if we stress out to get there, then we set our expectations too hught...yada, yada, yada. So I have made a pount not to stress, do a little at a time........and keep thinking that in 12 days my hardest decision will be what to drink!

Kimberly - So sorry you are without power! I hope it comes back soon !

TVEFOX - I am worried about my kids behavior too - especially my DS3. He is really a character but he is very good about wandering off and no one is a stranger to him. He would leave with anyone! Unfortunately, he is too little to reason with! I think the only thing that will work with him is having to go back to the room and miss the fun. The bad part is that I will have to miss the fun too!

Lois - I think some of the spouses may need some rules laid down too!

Arin - Did you buy an extra battery for the camcorder? I ordered one yesterday from B&H after I "won" a bid on a JVC battery charger for $45 instead of the $69.95 plus shipping at B&H (thanks Charlie)! If you need one I think there was one left. It was make an offer or buy for $49.99. I made the offer of $45 and won. There is one left!

Can't wait to meet you all!

You too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crissi

Thanks a bunch. I am going to go get to work on some items. I need to stop reading these boards and get to work on all the things stressing me out.:rotfl2:

Hey guys, a child leash works great. I am serious. We took our DS on a cruise at 14 months and had a puppy lease from Target. That way we could reign him in when needed but he couldn't go over the rails. We used it again on the next 2 cruises at 2 and 3 years. Old. I may need to dig ole pup' pup' It was the cutest leash. It looked like a puppy with a zipper on the back to carry very small items. The puppy's tail was the leash part. They also make a monkey and sell it at Target for around $10.00

Hey, Julie. How is Alex?

Much better. He's down to almost no drainage. We see the doctor on Wednesday, and hopefully he'll take out the drain. We might then have to deal with stitches, but we'll manage. By hook or by crook, the kid will get in the water and have fun.

We have the monkey leash. Our littlest Hordlings pull each other around, and for us it becomes more of a danger to ourselves and others than an effective way to rein them in.

That's great news!!! I'm so glad to hear that. Just yell if you need any help with anything when you're on the trip.

That IS great news!!! :thumbsup2

Do they make waterproof bandages big enough to keep it dry from splashing in the water??

Julie, glad to hear things are going better with Alex! I hope the drain comes out soon!

I can't believe that next week at this time we'll be at WDW! It doesn't seem possible!

I know Im changing my mind this late in the game LOL

But I was thinking about it. I had booked the beach break thing through Disney and after talking it over with E we both agreed we do not want to be at the beack from 10-5pm with no choice to go back to the ship or go shopping LOL. Granted we could go back but after paying for the excurtion who wants to pay more for a cab ride ya know.

SO where is everyone going in Cozumel to just hit the beach and relaxe. Any ideas are welcome at this point. Off to cancle my beach break now LOL

We are doing Nachi Cocom on our own. Go to www.cozumelcruiseexcursions.com to read about it. The price is cheaper than the Disney beach break and I have read better reviews. Supposedly they only allow a certain number of people in per day to keep it from getting crowded, assuring plenty of lounge chairs, etc. for everyone. $49.00 per adult, $12 per child under age 12. This includes food, drinks, cocktails, use of pool, chairs etc. I think that Charlie (videoman) and his family will be there as well. :)

Lois.. and um.. I cant think off the top of my head whom else is doing the Oct 4th cruise after ours..... but

If any of you want beach toys or water toys, I would love to pay it forward. We wont be taking them and most likely leaving them on Castaway Cay. Unless I can find someone to pass them on to. I would love to ( I need all the good karma I can get LOL) There will be a bucket and some other shape sand toys, 2 rafts, a beach ball, and a frisbee.

Let me know and we can coordinate a time to meet after our last day on CC. :) hope I can help someone out. Or if not you... maybe someone on your meets thread may want them and you too can help pay it forward thus earning valuble karma points LOL:rotfl:

Drea - Thank you for the offer :goodvibes. You can drop some off to us if Lois doesn't want all of them. I'm sure the kids would love them.
Oh and we will definitly be paying it forward. Beach toys won't fit in our luggage, especially after 2 weeks of shopping on trhe cruise & a week at WDW :rotfl: .

Wow your own bar. :worship: :worship: :worship:

Do you reverse the names when you speak of it? :cool2:

Amy, indeed it does NOT seem real!! I will be at MK next Tuesday!

Julie, Alex's recovery sounds promising!

Chris... *shaking head* :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone for the positive hopes for electricity. I stayed at a friend's last night, so I don't know if it's back on or not, however, hearing that the number of customers that are still without went down only 100,000, I'm doubtful. Still a little over a quarter million waiting. Good news is that before it got too dark last night, I finished packing all but the last minute items.

I have to chime in with the rest of you that indeed we can make all of the "fun" stuff stressful as we get ready. I am SO guilty of this. I didn't get everything I wanted accomplished, but you know what....I'm fine with that! I wanted to make one more little item to put on everyone's door, but ran out of time. I also planned to make a t-shirt for our '80s Party, which likely could have been done this week, however, but without power, that's scrapped. I gotta tell you what my idea was though! I was torn between a wedding picture of Luke & Laura that I had altered with a sephia tone along with their names across the photo or a picture of Captain Stubing. I thought those where quite iconic of the '80s! So, this mall chic will show up in her normal attire!

So if you haven't done so already, take the advice of everyone here...."Let it go....let it go!" You'll feel so much better and really...no one will care that you didn't finish everything on your list. They/I/we WILL care, however, if you don't pack and get yourself to the ship!!

Have a good day everyone! I think a couple of you are leaving either tomorrow and/or Thursday. So safe travels to you!! Lisa, I hope you have a wonderful time at your DB and DSIL's wedding!!
