LOL I am with you - how about a permanent room on the ship - I could even manage it being on deck 2 if I can go back anytime I want!:lmao:

I would love to be in the Adult pool with a drink in hand.......that never happened when we went this past time..........hopefully on a future cruise!

I miss you all!! I just loved walking around the boat and looking for others that I have talked to on the boards. It was like cruising with a whole extended family! I will never give you up........NEVER! And if this thread dies, I will PM you all!

Crissi

I know what you mean....even though we have a new thread to check I ALWAYS come to this one first. It's like calling your best friend every day to see how things are going.

Obviously my first choice would be better supervision in the Oceaneers' Club so my daughter wouldn't have had such a negative experience - still suffering the fallout from that, unfortunately. :sad2:

Overall though, I would have liked more of the "evening" entertainment available earlier in the day. It would be nice if even ONE of the shows had a matinee performance - nobody in my family saw a single show. And while I understand the reasoning behind having Pirate Night so late, it would have been nice if they'd had *something* earlier in the day as a sort of nod to the Pirate thing.

I have to seriously agree with this one. We didn't get to see any of the shows because by that point Elliott as so grumpy we didn't even want to try to go see them. He also has issues with noise sesitivity so we spent the evenings in ear plugs (especially in AP....for some reason he had issues with that 'show'). We missed the welcome aboard party, the pirate party, all the shows....all of it.

OK - Here is a new question..............if there is one thing that you could change or improve on your DD Cruise, what would it be?

I think they need to improve on the adult entertainment at night. I would have loved just a plain old dance club with a DJ.

Crissi

They do have just a DJ in Rocking Bar D every night from about 11:30 to 1:00 am. It tends to have very low attendance. But I agree the evening parties and activities in the clubs are not very good anymore. The Spring Break Bash was the only one owrth going to again (in spite of the terrible name).

They used to some great themed family dance parties in StudioSea and we really missed those (it would be good to shake it up with some new themes--but getting rid of htem was not a good idea).

Better programming for the 11-14 group. In theory I like that age grouping, but the programming was terrible. Lot's of sit around and do nothing or else repeats of the same actgivities offered in the younger two clubs and as family activitues (like Mr. Toad's race) so that the kids who sail often have already done it over and over and over. . . The kids deserve new experiences as they get older.

Two things I would want to change...

1- Sell some real decongestants on board! I was SO stuffed up.
2- Get rid of all those extra people in Sessions. :) Two years ago we always had the place to ourselves. Seriously though, Mark Farris was incredible. That's always my favorite time of the day on DCL... evening in Sessions with a "martini"...

First and formost I missed the 80's night. I also and I have I have mentioned this many times on the comment cards, that there should be a slid for everone. Not just the Mickey Pool.
I would also like to see 10 & 11 day cruises START & RETURN from Port Canaveral.

Just wanted to give up a boost up to the first page again!!!!!!

OK...I'll ask a question to see if we can keep this thread going...

If you could be on the Magic right now, where do you wish you could be?

I wish I could be sitting in a chair on deck 4 watching the Magic glide through the beautiful ocean.

The first place would be eating dinner. The second would be sitting at my verandah at night with a nice book in hand, with a gentle breeze and listening to the wake our ship makes as it sails throught the ocean.

deck 1.. make it for storage or crew... horrible noise from it!

HAVE MORE characters out for pics in the early am.

make 2 drink stations one aft, 1 forward.

More use of the Jumbotron during the day. only once did I really see it being used to play HSM2.

I like the dj dance club too.
I agree every time I walked by thre Dumbotron, all they had was a screensaver of fish on it.. playing all kinds of disney movies would be great. How many kids could say they saw Cinderella... while in the pool...on a DISNEY CRUISE... lol

Hmmmm...I would have made it longer!!!! :thumbsup2

Agreed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HADLEY... love the new signature logo.. very cute!

Hmmmmmm .... Things to change ....

#1 - I would go see more of the shows, at least Golden Mickeys and Til We Meet Again.

#2 - I would get up earlier each day (set an alarm). I had no idea what time it was every morning. I didn't have my cell phone on, and the clock was on the other side of the room.

YES ... slide for everyone and the longer cruises start and end in PC. Totally agree on both.

I would probably add supervision (and space) for the 3-4 year olds in the club. If they had them separate all the time and had more adults, I think that the club would be better for everyone.

I agree! I always check in just to see how everyone is doing! This group is too great to let go of!

Hi Hadley -

The one night I made it out without the kids for a few hours, we went to Rockin D Bar but it more like a dance competition and the music was not really "club" music. I just remember cruising years ago as a teenager and there being a cool "club" to hang out it for the adults and the kids.

I wish there were more family dance parties, etc, too. Something for families to do together at night.

Crissi

Hey everyone! The past 4 days have been super busy, so I haven't had time to catch up on everything I missed here until now.

Welcome back Lois and Janet! I think the only family now unaccounted for is Tania's. I'm thinking that after their back-to-backs they were going to WDW. So maybe next week we'll hear from her!

Hadley, I LOVE the addition of the family in your new siggy's logo!

Thank you everyone for the congrats on the WB TA being secured.
Although I'm excited, I have to admit I'm not anxious to get in on the Meets thread. For one, it has been going quite fast, and I haven't had the time to keep up. I'm sure it will slow down shortly.

Congrat's Kimberly!! Guess now I need to tell Joe we won't be having company
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Maureen

Oh yes he will!! Drea and Denise...unless the want to bunk with me of course. :goodvibes

...Marueen, let Joe know... ya never know what or who may join you all :rolleyes1

So just a reminder... 2 weeks ago we were getting ready to hit CC for the 2nd time... instead im doing laundry and getting ready to go to work tmrw.. this sucks lol :lmao:

SEE, MAUREEN! You never know!!

Oh man....2 weeks ago? I hate to say it, but it seems like it was forever ago. :sad1: UGH!

I knew it would happen eventually... I just found us on Page Two. <sniff>

I miss the magic. And the Magic.

NOOOOOOOOOO

Don't worry Drea, even though I'm going on the WB TA, I will never leave this thread as long as it is still here. I had too much fun with all of you!!!!!

Not gonna leave it!!! I'm Not! You all better not either!

I know what you mean....even though we have a new thread to check I ALWAYS come to this one first. It's like calling your best friend every day to see how things are going......

Perfectly stated!

We need a new picture of the day theme tomorrow....I hope someone volunteers one!

We still can't decide what to do with our rebooking. Will maybe change it back to the Eastern or possibly to something else altogether. Wish I could swing the TA with all of you...:sad1:
We were(are) paying just as much for our cruise, it's just the airfare.....:upsidedow
It's 2 years away! It might go down! :thumbsup2

OK...I'll ask a question to see if we can keep this thread going...

If you could be on the Magic right now, where do you wish you could be?

Sitting on one of the comfy chairs outside the Cove Cafe with a Latte reading a book.

The only thing I would change was my saggy bed! I'm hoping our bed on the WB TA is either newer or not used as much as the SPH rooms.

Welcome back Lois and Janet! I'm glad you two had a great time!

Julie I'm glad to hear that Alex is doing well from his surgery. Congrats on booking the Med! That is a dream of mine, but for now we will just bring the Magic home.

Hadley - Your new siggy rocks! :thumbsup2

Tiffany

You are all so nice to comment on my signature. I wish I could take credit for it--but yeah I am so not computer art talented. Stephanie (who I first met on teh TA in 2005) made it for me.

It was a crazy weekend. I went downstairs to get an envelope Friday morning and there was about an inch of water in the floor all my Christmas rubbermaid totes had water in the lids (and a few boxes in the area were detroyed). Of course, I called Dave at work in tears because that is just the kinda girl I am:lmao: All in all we lost only three boxes of items and we did spend most of the weekend without running water and dealing with very gross stuff (it was a septoc issue and was lucky the orginal back up was nice clean water softner stuff-but that did not continue:scared: ) BUT we have been using water since 7:00 last night and the basement is still dry so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the issue now totally resolved. I kept thinking that I wanted so much to be on the Magic instead of here in reality!

Oh honey....that is NO FUN!

Ok...how about a pic of the day suggestion....what about your favorite photo with a character? I'll post mine in a second.

Hadley I do love the new signature! and sorry about your water issue. I would have called John in tears too.

Janet and Lois, welcome back! I enjoyed chatting with Lois on CC. :)

Great idea!! I was going to suggest that the other day.

I have a few (sorry!!)...

For some reason, the boys weren't interested in having pictures made with the characters. Hmmmmmm .... ;) :confused3

This one is a favorite for two reasons: 1) Celeste developed a deep love of Pluto while on the cruise, when she'd never taken an interest in him before, and 2) this is my favorite of the outfits I sewed for the cruise, and it's the only good picture I got of her wearing it.

This one totally cracks me up - when cajoled she *will* cheese for the camera, but she can't be convinced to peel her eyes away from Mickey.

And I like this one because it's one of the (very) few cruise photos with Dexter in it... he spent so much time in the kids' clubs that our family vacation photos look like we left him at home! Plus he makes me laugh when he insists on doing the "SC FIGHT ON" V-for-victory pose in every shot.
