If you could be on the Magic right now, where do you wish you could be?

I wish I could be sitting in a chair on deck 4 watching the Magic glide through the beautiful ocean.

Yes. Our SR host made tiny ones for Brendan and Savannah the last couple of nights out of washcloths for that specific purpose.

I don't think I could have fit a couple of mine - the alligator or turtle! - in the suitcase. LOL! I would have like to have taken the little bird off of the top of Jaydin's cake, though. Wish I had. I'm glad we have the candle, though.

I'd love to be either in our suite/on the veranda, or in Vista getting a pedicure while watching the ocean breeze by. That was heaven.

Shell, E was asking me if I had talked with ya he was wondering how its going with the marine corps and all the jazz lol. He said he was talking to his co about it and was seeing if he could find out some info for yall!

Lois and Janet- welcome back. Glad to hear you had a good second cruise. We came back sick. Except Alex, who had an unexpectedly easy surgery and recovery yesterday. I keep thinking it's about time the kid got a break.

We're thinking of doing the first 11 night Med cruise because the big kids want to go to Tunisia. Yes, our kids are a little weird, they'd prefer India, but Disney's not cruising India. It'll just be the two old kids and I. The little ones will stay home with dad (ha, revenge is sweet, even if it's only for two weeks). I'll be looking for a part time job to pay it off.

Oh, how awesome, Drea!!! Tell him THANK YOU. We're HOPING that things are well on their way, but we don't know. I think that office is as unorganized as possible. They told Jared that he needed to be up there the other day at 9 AM. Called him back - right at 8:55 AM as he pulled in the the parking lot - and told him not to come until 1. Before that, they told him to come in on Monday (a holiday?!) ... changed it to Wednesday ... and changed it again to Tuesday. Totally nuts!!! Jared said that they have 103 recruits waiting to ship out at that RSS alone.

We have finally turned in all of our stuff for the 'education' part. Jared took the ASVAB the other day and had his physical (had trouble .... going ..... in a cup!! ). I have NO idea how long we're suppose to wait to find out what tier they are finally going to classify him as. I told them the other day that I WILL NOT sign anything that says that he's tier 2 because I don't want him limited in any way when he goes in.


Let me know if E finds out anything! Thank you, again, so much!!

That would be an awesome cruise, Julie - and what a great experience for the kids. My kids would LOVE to go to Egypt if it was ever offered, and they would probably love Tunisia if I gave them that option.

I'm so glad that Alex is doing so well. I hope that continues!!!

I miss you all!! I just loved walking around the boat and looking for others that I have talked to on the boards. It was like cruising with a whole extended family! I will never give you up........NEVER! And if this thread dies, I will PM you all!

I agree - I love that 4th deck - or even on deck 10 watching POTC3 as the cool evening wind brushes past me..sighhhhhh

I literally counted down the hours to SNL... part of that ever-so-magical week when Phelps was on the VMAs, Oprah, Leno, and SNL all in a six-day stretch. I knew SNL would be a train wreck, and I wasn't disappointed! My Phelps obsession is so entrenched and so well-known that my mom, bless her heart, even offered to take my kids overnight so my SNL-watching wouldn't be disturbed if they happened to wake up. Sad but true.

I'm sad that the post-Olympics Phelps-mania has died down, but I'm in a Phelps-induced good mood anyway - I just ordered my tickets for the 2009 National Championships / World Championship Trials. I'm going to spend my 40th birthday watching MP swim IN PERSON!

I have a friend whose son looks just like him. One day during the Olympics, he got told 6 times that he looked like MP! LOL!!! He said "If I hear that ONE MORE TIME .....!!!!!" LOL! It was funny.

I think they need to improve on the adult entertainment at night. I would have loved just a plain old dance club with a DJ.

Obviously my first choice would be better supervision in the Oceaneers' Club so my daughter wouldn't have had such a negative experience - still suffering the fallout from that, unfortunately.

Overall though, I would have liked more of the "evening" entertainment available earlier in the day. It would be nice if even ONE of the shows had a matinee performance - nobody in my family saw a single show. And while I understand the reasoning behind having Pirate Night so late, it would have been nice if they'd had *something* earlier in the day as a sort of nod to the Pirate thing.

More use of the Jumbotron during the day. only once did I really see it being used to play HSM2.

I like the dj dance club too.

I would spend more time on deck 4!!!! But I agree with the adult entertainment, I enjoy some of the adult versions of the shows but right after that its like it just dies out. Although I have to say the band this time was pretty good - so much better than the last time I was on the ship.
