Excuse me... Just a Thought.. Can we pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee make a promise NOT to put underware in anyone's fish extender? :duck:

So now I have to go back to the store and exchange everything!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Man! & I was just thinking what a great 'gift' that would be for FE's since I haven't started on mine yet. Shucks........& you can get multi-packs at the dollar store fairly cheap. Oh well......there goes that idea.

:rotfl2:

Oh My Goodnesss... Oh My Goodness... :lmao:

Am I the ONLY one on the ship that buys EVERYTHING new to pack? :confused3 I buy new socks, new underware, new pantyhose, new pajamas, new shoes... The only thing I pack that has been worn before are my dresses and those are Cruise Only dresses.. I have them in the closet away from all the rest of my stuff..

:dance3:

You are not alone. I have new dresses, shorts, t-shirts, skirts, the whole kitten caboodle!!! I think the only thing I pack that is not new is shoes. I have been stimulating the economy left and right.

On another note (besides underwear disposal:rotfl2: ), what is the rules for tips. :moped: How much do you put aside for tips and who gets them? What do you tip for room service?

I know its a lot of questions, but would like to do the right thing. I am so excited and can't wait to set foot on the Magic. My DW is very excited too.

I think we are most excited about Castaway Cay. It should be lots of fun.:moped: :hippie:

LOL I was thinking of just waiting till we got to Cocoa Beach to get new sock and underwear for us so I dont have to pay for the extra baggage At least on the way to.

My fish extender is made of used underwear.

It has BIG pockets.
And FAT CAT- I snort'ed so hard when I lol. The boys asked what was so funny ... and I couldnt tell them... LOL
That was great!

Aboard the ship on your last full day aboard you'll actually get envelopes dropped off in your stateroom. There is an envelope for each person who shoudl get a tip (your stateroom host or hostess, your server, assistant server, and head server). There will also be a note with recommendations about what the suggested tip for each of these staff is. If you got acceptable service I'd recommend you tip that amount. If you feel you got exceptional service (which you likely will and which Jason and I ALWAYS do) then you should make that tip larger as you deem appropriate. You have two choices. You can either put cash in the envelopes and give the tips to the staff....or you can charge your tips to stateroom onboard credit andthere is a little slip for you to put inside informing them what your tip is. I don't actually recall what the tips are for a 7 night but I"m sure there is a site somewhere (and I"m sure someone on here knows what it is) where they tell you what the tips per person for our cruise would be.

On a related note...if you are dining in Palo while you're onboard remember that the servers there do NOT get any of hte tips you leave on your last day and you should tip your Palo server(s) at the meal where they serve you....and that you should tip them based on the what you estimate the cost of your meal WOULD be...not just on the $10 room charge (or whatever it is) that you pay for the pleasure of eating there.

Also if you are getting spa treatments done....tip at the time of service on the payment slip or in cash perhaps. And if you are drinking at any bar onboard....you can tip those staff when you sign the slip, as well.

Thank you for your reply and all the work you are doing for the cruise. I look forward to meeting you on the ship. Thanks for the lanyards and I look forward to your PM. :)

And if you are drinking at any bar onboard....you can tip those staff when you sign the slip, as well.

But note that there is a tip included on the bar tabs. You can always tip more, but it isn't a must. We usually tip more at places like the lounge on deck 3 where we are likely to stay for an extended period of time. But for a grab and go drink on deck nine or where ever, I don't think more than the standard is really necessary... but then, maybe I'm cheap. ;)

For the 7 night cruise I believe the tips per person are:

Restaurant Server $25.75
Restaurant Assistant Server $18.75
Head Server $6.50
Stateroom Host(ess) $25.25

Here's a link to a tipping calculator: http://cruisetip.tpkeller.com/

Easy peasy.....just input # of adults, # of kids & the cruiseline to get a total of tips to expect for the entire cruise. Doesn't include tips at the bar, room service, spa, etc.
