Hi all, I am back from my first trip to Orlando!! We had a great time, although I feel like I need a vacation to recover from that vacation!!:rotfl2: My feet felt "injured" every evening from walking so much. The weather was great for most of the time (Sun, mon, and tues) Wednesday was pretty chilly, and on Wed. night there was a thunder storm and a TORNADO WATCH!:scared1: which freaked me out alittle, but it was fine. Anyway, I have a few thoughts about the parks: We ended up going to Universal Studios instead of Disney Studios, because that is what the rest of my family wanted to do. It was pretty fun, we bought the VIP passes so we never had to wait in a line.:woohoo: We did Animal Kingdom on Monday and it was fun, we didn't need a full day there though. I have to say that Expedition Everest was our favorite ride out of all of the parks we have ever been to. It was awesome. As for Disney World, I thought it was great, but it didn't seem a whole lot different than Disney Land.:confused3 I had alway had it in my head that Disney World was way bigger than DL  February ended up being a great time to go though, we never waited in line for more than 15 minutes and that was for Pirates because there were no fastpasses for that ride. Next time we go, I really want to try one of the water parks they looked so fun! Our hotel ended up being in a really great "off-site" location too, we were right off of Hwy 192 in Kissimmee. Anyway, that is all for now. I have a few pages of reading to do to catch up to all of you.............

It's been awhile since i've posted but have been reading along. well we booked our before and after. we will be staying the night before at the POFQ and 4 nights after at the POP. now just have to wait for the 180 day mark so we can make our restaurant reservations any suggestions.

We really enjoy the Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom. As well as the Garden Grill at Epcot. There are so many I am sure you can find one to fit your needs.

There really are several who will be traveling only with adults. We have 54 cabins that will not be occupied with children. Now there's a handful of them that are grandparents of kids under 18 who will be on the cruise, but it's a rather small percentage of the 54. Just goes to show we are all kids at heart!

I am traveling with my sister and her girls(DD 10 DD 10 an DD 15) on this cruise but the week following It is just adults. I can not wait!!!!

My favorite it Cinderella's Royal Table. We have eaten there several times for both dinner and breakfast. It's a little pricey, but well worth the price. I have heard that the Crystal Palace is really good, but have never eaten there myself.

 Hi, Rena (RKB)!!

It was great to hear from you again! It's been a lonnnnngggg time! :)

I wanted to share with everyone else that your DS15 will be joined with one 16 yr old boy, two other 15 yr olds, and one 14 yr old who's on our Cast List. Some of them are nephews of some of our DISers, so hopefully these guys can meet up with some friends to hang out with in The Stack and The Teen Beach. We all know how they want their own space at that age! :rotfl:

Your DS10 will join seven other 10 yr old pirates and six 9 year old buddies! I'm sure there will be many boys around his age also interested in playing basketball and video games as your DS loves to do!

Arin, welcome home! Your pictures are great!! Although Magic Kingdom wasn't as big as you thought it would be, I hope the overall experience exceeded your expectations. It sounds like you did have a pretty good time though!

What were the kids' favorite experience?

Found us on page 2. I never thought this thread could fall so low with the chatty group we have. Hope it is because everyone is out having fun on the weekend. I got to get some work done like I do every weekend. But that's ok I get my time off at other times. Lois

Hi All! Hope everyone is well. I skimmed through post, and have subsribed to so many more to help with planning our trip. I believe we have what we are doing all planned.. just now to actually make th reservations LOL:surfweb:

We will be flying down either the 25th or 26th (depends on flight cost since it might be cheaper to fly on a Thu then a Fr we shall see) Renting a car and staying near port (ok still havent figured out which hotel yet) We then cruise the 27-4th (YEAH! :cheer2: ) We will then rent a car to take us to POP and do DownTown Disney on the 4th(it will be great to be able to compair to DTD Cali). Where we will spend 4 days doing 3 parks, the World, Epcot and Hollywood. On the 8th we will fly home :sad1:

We received some sad/upsetting (enter other words here that Disney would NOT approve of!!!) E called me on Monday and said bad news... you know my 1st thought was.. he was not going to be able to come home in time to cruise :rotfl: Hey i have my priorites! LOL. Well it was sort of that. He called letting me know that the new CO (Commanding Officer) of his unit aprox 200-300 marines, have been told that they are being extended to do a YEAR NOW! Apparently the CO (who has never been in charge of a tour to Iraq) wants consistance and not marines coming back and forth. So there are a lot of other higher ups that are trying to change it along with some other CO's that have called him on his being an um lack of better words @$$. I know the Army does a yr (which by the way I think is HORRIBLE no person should be away in that situation for a yr, weither single or has a family, it takes a lot out on a person, weither you are in the grunt of it all on back on the sidelines holding down the fort!)

Anyhow, as soon as this message was released all the marines in E's shop said well we know when Gunny wants to go on leave in Sept to go to play with Mickey Mouse LOL :rotfl2: So if it sticks he will get a big whopping 20days leave of which he has already put in for it around our cruise time. We have come to accept it if it does stick, but are still hoping for a lil magic pixiedust: that it gets changed back.

Well off to do some oh so fun cleaning and :laundy:. LOL

Hello again. I have been looking into excursions for our trip and wanted to ask your opinion. For Cozumel, we are thinking either the Royal Dolphin Swim (with the family) or the submarine adventure to see the coral reefs/fish. For Costa Maya, we are considering the Cocchoben (sp) ruins. I think I read that these are a half-day excursion and the location is not as hot as Kohunlich. Has anyone done any of these tours? Thank you.

Drea, I am sorry to hear your husband may be away for a year's time, but I am happy that he will be able to cruise with you. God bless all of you.:goodvibes

I will keep you and DH in my prayers. I agree a year is way too long. I grew up in the navy and Married into the navy as well so I give our service men and women 100% of my support, however I want out of this war. We have lost too many good men and women. Please let your DH know how much we thank him and his family for all he gives to this counrty. There is no better place to live.

If you want to do the Royal Swim you will need to book that independently as it is not offered by DCL. Janet and I are doing that and have it booked for the two of us as well as my sister and my 3 nieces. We are really excited. I want to do a Mayan Ruine in Costa Maya but am not making any plans until I see what DCL offers and know for sure that the port will be ready to accept us. We did a submarine adventure on a past cruise and it was very interesting but will not compare to swimming with the dolphins. We are booked at 10 AM.
