It has been sold out for some time. I am guessing that in June when final payment is due a few rooms will open up and be grab up just as fast.

You and your family will have my prayers. Problems with an unborn child can be very scary. I am due to have a new grandchild early May. I pray everyday that everything goes well. I hope that the test come back OK and that you have a full term and healthy child. i will add you and your child to my prayers

When we were on our last cruise my 44 year old sister passed leaving a 14 year old DD alone. There was no way we could get home so we stayed the rest of the cruise (just two days) but it really put a damper on the fun. It is never easy when a loved one dies expected or not. And healing takes time, lots and lots of time. Hopefully everything will calm down and you will get the pixie dust you and your family need right now. Lois
I Wanted to jump Ship.:scared1: Our Little Sister wanted to go with us last Cruise. This Cruise her DD is going with us:hug:  love her so much

We are taking the kids out of school for our cruise, can you guys give me some info on how you are making this cruise a learning experience?

What books are you reading?
What excursions are you doing to help with learning?
Etc.

I would like to get some ideas so when I write my letter to the school I sound like I know what I am talking about:rotfl:

Denise,

Some good ideas have come your way already. Here is what we did:

When we did this itenerary two years ago (so my kids were 7 and 9 at the time) we studied the Mayan and Incan cultures (we will only visit places that the Mayans lived which I was clear about with the kids but most materials I could find refered to both). We read several books about them (there are a number of picture books--all pretty graphic though, these were pretty violent cultures as were many anceint ones). Then we did a bunch of related projects like making a "mural" showing the Mayan ball game on big paper, marking the major sites of found ruins on a map, made suns, created models of some mayan gods, etc. We visited a collection of Mayan artifacts in a museum in Boston and then we, of course, took an excursion out to the ruins when we got there. Obviously you don't want to go too in depth since the kids will also be in school (athough you could have fun doing some things in the summer) but just reading up on the Mayans and then visiting the ruins in either Costa Maya or Cozumel sould satisfy most teachers.

Hi Everybody - I haven't posted in a REALLY long time! I just spent over an hour reading back as far as possible. Jen, I am praying for you and Sarah. Please let us know how things work out. We are FINALLY settled into our home in Florida (32 miles from WDW!) and are loving it. We are so excited about the cruise and meeting new friends. I will keep reading and posting now because I am done unpacking and organizing as much as possible. Buckeye Gal, you have done a great job in bringing everyone together - looking forward to cruising with everyone!:grouphug:

SANDI!!!!!! Hi:) Nice to see you here. As I am sure you learned it is not really possible to catch up. Just be sure you read post 6 for all the important details and dive on in:upsidedow

I am officially addicted - what a great site and loved Post 6! I am trying to post our family picture, but I am not that computer savvy! Thanks Hadley for telling me and as always, I cannot wait to see you on the cruise - she is an 80's crazy girl!!!!:thumbsup2

I just have to share with everybody that spring has made it to New Hampshire:woohoo:

The snow is melting in patches and about half of the yard (and all of the driveway) is now visible.:dance3:

It was in the fifties yesterday and we migth hit 60 today. It is even sunny:)

Marika (who is never cold) is running around in capris and a sleevless top and Dave took his motorcycle to work for the first time this year today.:scared:

The tulips and buttercups are starting to push their way out on the South side of the house.:flower3:

It's a GOOD thing. I think we'll go to a park today:yay:

Hadley - it sounds wonderful and I am glad you are going to a park today, but that is still VERY cold from where I have lived and do live. I would be on the couch, with a hot cup of tea and the heat on!!! :) :)

My favorites ~ Mickey
- Tink
- Pooh (sentimental reasons due to first grandchild)
- Donald
- Little faries in Sleeping Beauty
and then all the rest!!!!!

Well, blow me over with a feather, my mom (GammaRee) got on! Woohoo! Next thing you know, DH will be posting... Nah, that's crazy talk. I've suggested "DWs_Packmule" for his username, but he didn't bite.

Hadley: It's a blizzard today in Denver. *pllllbbbtttt* to you. :rotfl: Breakfast was hot cocoa and a biscotti to dip in it. So healthy, ya know? :)

A blizzard? Is that something you get at dairy queen?
It'll be sunny and 83 degrees in Tampa today...

Stinker. *twinkling eyes* But hey, you have humidity. *ugh* We can dry rose petals around here in 2 days.

Mmmmm. Dairy Queen. Actaully we went yesterday (it is seasonal as they all are up here). but no blizzards. I am a mena mom and limit hte kids to the dollar menu (at least the people behind us in line thought I was mean and were plenty vocal about it:rotfl2:--the kids didn't think anything of it; blizzards and the like are for specail occasions to us). It was pretty comical watching the kids eat their ice cream in short sleeves and sandals while standing on top of the 15 foot high snow mound lining hte edge of hte parking lot:rotfl:

Sandi and Epperbiker: while I am rejoicing in the return of spring and can't wait for warmer weahter, I persoanlly prefer the cold to the intense heat you two live with. I will be wilting in Spetember! I am glad we all prefer different things so that no one area has all of us humans huddeld into it:goodvibes

Popping in to say HI and I look forward to being able to hang out here more in a couple of months! Things are still crazy here so I'm not online very much, but that will slow down come June.

I can't believe I'm sailing with a bunch of fellow WICKED fanatics! :yay: When my sister and I were on a 3-day Baja cruise on Carnival earlier this year we got a note slipped under our door saying "We're next door in Cabin #(whatever); what is that music you're playing? We love it!" It was the WICKED soundtrack of course.

So, who will be hosting WICKED karaoke in their stateroom? :rotfl:

As for homeschooling, you've gotten several great ideas already. I haven't yet started planning in earnest, but we are bringing several maps of the region and we'll be plotting our course and doing calculations on distance traveled, etc. We're also bringing a US map and a world map with some sticky flags and will keep track of the home countries of our servers and other ship personnel and fellow cruisers we meet. My kids will be 6yo and 3yo on the cruise, so it's not exactly Ivy League caliber stuff. ;)

And Arin - ROCK ON for you and your little potty-trained dude! My Celeste will turn 3yo the day after your DS; she is just starting to use the potty and I'm so happy! She is very motivated by knowing that she will not be able to play in the playroom on the Mickey boat if she doesn't use the potty.

Back to my overloaded inbox... hope to pop in again soon!

AQW

WICKED KARAOKE?!?!? I am SOOOOO there!!! Chris and Rob would do it, too.....I actually have the karaoke versions of almost every song on the soundtrack, too.....let's have a Wicked dress up night, too!! :yay:

I hear ya. Actually, I lived the first part of my life in Michigan so I've experienced that too. We've become used to the heat and humidity after 20 years in Florida, but we felt the weather was beautiful out at sea last September. Just slow down, seek shade, and drink lots of water even if you're not thirsty, and you'll be fine. :cool2:

70 degrees here in Jersey :cool1:

Spoke with my MIL last night, they live in Breckenridge, CO and were expecting multiple FEET of snow :scared: She says she is soooo Ready for Florida..

They are spending the week with us in Florida for our DS's Spring Break.. First time they will see our New house other then in Pictures :upsidedow Our niece is coming with them to Florida.. We are sooo excited.. They will also be on the cruise with us in September :goodvibes

Hi Everybody.....We are FINALLY settled into our home in Florida (32 miles from WDW!) and are loving it. We are so excited about the cruise and meeting new friends....

SANDI!!! You're back!! :goodvibes I'm so thrilled to hear that life is good down south!

I just have to share with everybody that spring has made it to New Hampshire:woohoo:

Awesome!!! I love your description of the kids on top of a mound of snow eating their ice cream in summer attire!! :rotfl2:

I saw a magnola tree (I think that was what it was) in 80% full bloom yesterday and my back yard had a strange color when I woke up this morning. I think they call it grass green. :confused3 There's even this fuzzy hue coming from my bushes.

We've had mostly mid 70's this week, but we are back to a high of 49F on Saturday. :sad1: Nonetheless, I'm about ready to get the spring wreath out for the front door! I was nice to get out the shorts after work yesterday!

On another note....

I've been busy all week making and decorating some cakes for a friend to take to his friend who is from Hatboro, PA. My friend used to teach the Hatboro-Horsham High School Hatters marching band with the current color guard director, who he's been friends with for many years. (Now I know there are SEVERAL PA'ers out there, so you may know where this is near Philly, and in this small world, I would not at all be surprised to hear someone knows this man or at least the Hatters in general.)

Anywhooo, the kids are competing in Dayton today, so my friend wanted to take the cakes to celebrate the director as this is his last year teaching "the Hatters". I ended up making 2 cakes as a flag, one for outdoor and one for indoor guard. Each had embellishments I made on the cake to represent various shows they've done. Finally, I made one little guy (cake) in the shape of the Hatter's top hat. My friend, who is also a Hatters grad, just loved it, which is all that counts. I took some pics last night, but we didn't fully assemble all the parts together as he needed to safely get it down to Dayton. So when he gets back, I'll post a pic of what it all looked like in the end.

So off to bed I plan to be before 9:30...beats the 2:30 am bedtimes I've had since Saturday night followed by a small nap! (UGH!)

Brandie, great to see your mom post! (Hi, GammaRee! :wave2:) I've been trying to get my mom to post her answer to the Question of the Week. So if LindaLouZ shows up on your monitor, you might have to pick up your phone because I've fallen and can't get up. :rotfl: (If you're reading this, love ya, mom!)

Hadley - you are funny! You are right. Arizona was getting a little warm to me, California was nice and Florida is nice, but it will get warmer. Glad you enjoyed your Dairy Queen - one of my faves. All humans in one huddled area does not sound like a good thing:upsidedow .
