OH IM a lil po'ed... I just read this and went to check ours.. and they have changed ours too.

Not so worries on the incoming
we were leaving at 7am arriving at 430
now they have us at 7am arriving at 515 a lil more time inbetween changing planes

but the one going home is what ticks me off
had 8am leaving orlando arriving at 1209pm
now its changed to 730 am arriving at 1244pm... so that means UP even earlier and a longer time inbetween changing planes.

I had booked for 8am cuz that got us home at a desent hour to relaxe before the boys and I went back to school and work. Anything later then the 8am had a return of like 8pm or so. UGGG but now we have to get up even earlier after visting the parks.. UGGGGGGGG... lol E and the boys are not gonna like that LOL

I wouldn't worry too much yet. As Denise said, Airtran changes flight all the time. They seem to change and then change back a short time later. Once it gets closer, they will send you an email if the flight is defintiely changed (At least I always received one), but not until about a week or two before the flight. Right now ours was moved up flying down Fri night and home on Oct 6th.

I just spent wayyyy too much on Disneyshopping.com..........there are a few surprises for Denise and I (Even though she hates surprises), so I will have to show them to her when I get them......matching OF COURSE! Too bad they do not have all matching for Denise and I and our DD. That would be really CUTE!! I am such a dork and I think I need to go to bed before I buy anything else that Denise is going to want to KILL me for buying! I think I realized why I keep buying more stuff........it is to get over the stress of packing.......makes no sense at all......but it does to me. I shop and eat when I am tired and stressed!

OH NO!!! Tomorrow we are down to 3 months!!! So much to do and so little time. I ordered a LL Bean rolling duffle and I got it today. It is really nice! DH told me I need to start packing now.......he is SUCH a WISE GUY!

Goodnight all,

Crissi

According to DCL (the horse's mouth), NO.

The lady we spoke withsaid they USED to do it that way and no longer do.

She said the current process is as follows: DCL will release 50% of all available reservation times/slots at the first booking window, 105 days prior to sail date (Concierge Cat 1,2,&3 and REAS). This accounts for ALL of the booking slots that will be obtainable ONLINE. They are not replenished at 90 and 75 days, and once gone nothing further wil be available prior to sail date unless there is a cancellation of a previously online-booked slot.:faint: The remaining 50% of time slots will be available for booking on a first come-first serve basis upon boarding the ship.

If you follow the main board you will see frequent posts of cruisers griping about no Palo available when they get to their booking window.:worried: And according to what Brandie posted yest. tea has one spot, brunch four, and dinner slots are available every evening. So tea=impossible, brunch=difficult, dinner=easy.

FWIW, we have had to do the "ressie scramble" onboard both of our prior cruises. It took about 1/2 hour (we were in line when they opened) and we did get what we wanted (brunch & dinner) on the day/nights we wanted but not at the time we wanted. So not all is lost if you have to try onboard....just the planning isn't as easy!;)
Well crud:worried: So where do we need to go on-borad to get all of this booked? I will have to make sure we get to port as soon as we can get in...tea is very high on the to-do list.

On a brighter note we have our airfare booked!!!

Okay probably an easy question but how do you transfer this to Costco? And are you sure we would still get our credit for booking onboard?

Anyone?

We finally paid off our cruise as well and would love to get any sort of onboard credit.:yay:

For my brunch options I was able to chose only between Monday 11:00 and Thursday 11:00. All other slots (10:00/12:00/?13:00?) were already gone.

So if anybody really wants to book the brunch online ==> Do it first! And all first timers: Be prepared that all slots might be gone. :badpc:

I believe I've heard before that you go to the Rockin D. When you get your Navigator at the port terminal, it will tell you for sure.

Thanks for all the compliments, etc, but it's only a year, I was just really tired yesterday. My father reenlisted in the Navy after his ship was destroyed at Pearl Harbor- he didn't come back to the US for the duration of the war, in fact, not until 1946. He wasn't married, had no kids, but back then it was for the duration, not a year long deployment, all in combat in the Pacific. He was on two more ships that sunk- the first by torpedo, the second (the rescue ship) hit a reef and went down, and they still wouldn't let him come home. Obviously we've never cruised with him- he's a ship killer. Then again- once he was out of the Navy, he never set foot on a ship again, unless you count the ferry boat from TTC to the Magic Kingdom.

What worked for us the one time we got tea, was that someone from the Dis group happened to be first in line to board. She went straight to Rockin' D's and got tea for all us because she found us in line (we were like six families behind her) and wrote down our room numbers. If we could arrange something like this, we'd all have a shot.

If I get there early (we're depending on a van service, so I can't make assurances) I'd be glad to give it a shot. You just have to find me in line, but I guess we'll be easy to spot.

Julie

I'm totally bummed about Tea and Brunch. I was Really hoping to get those this time! Hopefully I can get them when we get on board.

The good news...we're going to see the Lion King tonight!! It's opening night at the Kennedy Center and we've got box seats! I'm Very excited.

Ok...all this talk of Wicked...

I've never seen it, but is it something appropriate for a 5 year old? One of Reese's favorite movies in the WORLD is Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (the performance with Donnie Osmond). He loves, loves, loves musicals, and it sounds like Wicked is OK for his age?

You guys with all this "Elphaba" talk have me curious now....

Hmmm I think he would enjoy it. The music and dancing are a lot of fun and a typical five year old would get the basic gist of the story (though I would suggest getting the CD first and you kinda figuring out the story and going over it with him first to make it easier to follow at that age). That said, much of the details of the story would likely be totally lost on MOST kids that age. The only thing I can think of that a parent of a younger kid would find objectionable is that Elphie's mother has an affair but it is one of those things he is really not likely to pick up on at that age.
All of that said, I tend to think very differently than most parents. I usually know what things I am okay with that others would not be, but not always. For example, I was recently told by another parent that Rio suggested an "highly inappropriate" movie for the dance class to watch backstage. If he had suggested some of his many favourites that I KNOW most parents would not like younger kids watching (like Grease, Footloose, Billy Elliot, Dirty Dancing) I would have agreed with said parent. He suggested "Princess Diaries Two" and I am still not getting how that is inappropriate for a class of first through fourth grade dancers (and he the only boy). So, I am obviously not always in tune with how others feel even when I think I am.
Yeah, so I have probably been no help at all to you Heather;) Sorry about that.

Hey! That's a big "10-4" good buddy! That's my birthday too!!! It's also Tiffany's DH's! (Did I remember the right person? It's someone's DH's b-day!!).

No way!!!! That is so funny that you're birthday is also Oct. 4! Wow...there will be lots of people celebrating on that day...even though we'll be sad that we are getting off the boat!

Are you flying airtran? If so they change OFTEN, usually we get an email but I just checked our flights and they also changed, I am going to let it go for now... but if you are worried CALL THEM! good luck and let us knwo what happens

Well, DBF called Airtran last night and they told him it was too early to email the changes to us, which was fine. They also said that we could change it without penalty. So he's going to call and change it to a flight leaving around 1ish instead. I guess what upsets me is if I didn't ask for the entire day off of work, I would be working part of the day so I would need to know that information ahead of time in order to let my employer know. Well...all is taken care of for now so that's one less stress...

For those of you who transferred to Sams or Costco.

The standard on board booking is 10% off the commisionable part of the cruise price and $200 on board credit (7 day cruise).

When you are referring to getting a $275 or $300 on board credit is that in addition to the $200 or total???

Fooey... Fooey.. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooo hoping to get Tea on THIS cruise.. We have 3 generations going and thought the Women would really enjoy having a little Tea Party :(

Guess I will be leaving my group and heading straight for Rockin D and hope and pray :worship: to get a reservation :wizard:

So now I know NOT to have high hopes of finally being able to get a Tea ressie :worried:

I had mentioned that I had the 'premium' membership that gave me an additional $100 credit. So $300 total.

We travel Alot so I always take off the day before and the day after our cruise because you just never know when the flight times will stick..

I know, not everyone can do this.. I am one of the lucky one's who's Boss knows my Disney comes first.. ::yes:: When I started the job I made sure it is in my folder.. ;)

We went on a family cruise 3 years ago. when we got to the airport, they had cancelled our flight. ( didnt call and tell us.) we ended up getting on a flight out of Pittsburgh. so 14 drove very fast that morning to the Pgh airport. We made the flight. :)

I was the one who wanted to go the night before just in case, but they thought it was a waste of money. After that we go the day before :)

Well Airtran did change my flights. My flight leaving to Florida is moved up an hour. This doesn't bother me at all and we're flying down Friday anyway. I'm sure it may get changed again before we actually leave. However, I was a bit upset about the flight coming home. I had planned on spending the afternoon at DTD and then flying home on the last direct flight (around 8:30PM). Well, looks like they totally canceled that flight. When I checked my on-line itinerary, they had me booked on a connecting flight (I guess cause it matched up as close as possible to my departure time). I just called them this morning and they easliy moved me to a direct flight. I have to leave a lot earlier but I'd much prefer the direct.

I always go the day before. In the back of my mind, this was always my nightmare scenario!!:scared1: I've often thought that at least if I knew the day before, I'd have time to drive:car: straight through the night and still be at the port in time!!!!:yay:

Wow...you have all been chatty today! I haven't had time to read through it all yet. Just wanted to give a heads up to those in PA and NJ. If you have a bad storm forecasted, I'll tell you that it is indeed BAD! It started hitting us around midnight, complete with tornado sirens. Lightening was extremely heavy to the point that meteorologists were seeing with their own eyes some rotation high above. So take it seriously please!

I went to bed around 1:00 am, turning off the lights. At 5:00 I woke up to a semi-warm house. I somehow managed to make myself somewhat presentable to go to work, but boy do I have some interesting looking hair today!! When I left around 9:00, we still didn't have power. :-( I always fear the duration of power outages because there was a time that we were out for 6 days!! We're on such a small power grid and so much of the state was severely hit by a storm that we were literallly the last area to get attention.

Stay safe everyone!

I'll add to that nightmare that my luggage doesn't show up with me!! At least by flying in the day before (even night before), there's still some time to reunited you with your luggage.

Yes you still get all your onboard credit - I did it last year as well. I call Costco travel and let them know I want them to take my resevarion. They put me on hold and call Disney - a three way conversation. I tell Disney that I want to transfer to Costco and they do it!!! Disney reminds you that your payment is due on July 19 ( I think that is the day) and then gives Costco the reservation confirmation. Costco takes over. I then paid off my balance through Costco before Disney hung up so I was positive it was paid in full.
