Love the Ride Along pic! Did you really get to ride in a mock-up of Kyle Busch's car? I'm not a huge KB fan, but I think I could suck it up to do the ride. :rotfl2: I've always wanted to do this, but never have acted on it. Actually, I really want to work up to actually doing the 3 lap race. :moped: Unfortunately, that takes more time & $$ than we can cough up at the moment.

BTW, DD seems to be a speed demon like her mom. She's always wanting to go faster or to ride the fast rides.

Wow, another "not-a-fan-of-the-Weed" here! But like you, I would take a spin in his car!

I did the ride-a-long a few years ago when my husband did the 3 lap drive. I thought the ride could have been more exciting if they had strapped me to the roof of the car!

I seem to have lost the link to the ressie calendar....Does anyone happen to have the link?

Is this calculator what your looking for, Charlie?

I found him! His name is Cliff. I asked him a few questions via email & here's part of his response about being a contact for school supplies....Interesting coment he had about how things have changed......

Thanks!!! I was also thinking about when Tammie did this before. David (from Chacchoben Ruins tour duo of David and Ivan) ensured the supplies got to the school. So I'm certain if we could make contact with him, he'll help us out, too. He'll likely be at the Port picking up clients, so it wouldn't even be out of his way.

Indeed things will have changed there. I imagine it's lost a lot of its charm and going to be much more commercialized. :worried:

pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for Baby Sarah and family

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, today is wash and then maybe an hour or so by the pool!

When we booked we were 602 days out, that is about 86 weeks out, to be down to 17 WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I've done it twice. Last July 4th they gave me car #8, but I was pleased this year that I got car #18. Fun ride. Had a blast.

What fun! We live about 10 minutes from the Texas Motor Speedway & see people all the time doing the driving experience thingy...

We took our homeschool group on a tour of the Speedway a few weeks ago & they do the tour in a big van, and took us onto the track for a lap. The kids were in AWE of that experience...the moms all had a near heart attack when they stopped the van on one of the turns that has a whatever-degree bank to it. It felt like we were going to tip over in no time....

Thanks for sharing the pics...sure looks like you had fun!!

Just wanted to pass along a warm welcome to our newest Double Dip family who's bringing our country representation up to 5!! KemlynBovrilDrinker and his family and parents are joining us from the UK!! :goodvibes

Just thought I would pass along to you that your DS will be 1 of 3 from our group who is under the tender age of one. I'm looking forward to getting to meet you!

Congrats on finally getting on your cruise!

We booked in March 07....a week *after* we got off our cruise.

(Who needs 10% and $200 anyway....:rotfl: luckily we had another cruise in between to rebook on!)

NOW I can finally get back into hyper-planner mode :hyper:

As Sarah is doing well and is finally home!!!! Yay!

Thanks for all of the pixie dust blown this way!!!!!:lovestruc

Hi Jen! Glad to hear Sarah is finally home and life can get to a new kind of "normal"!!!

Jen: Glad Sarah is home, new pics when you get a chance:thumbsup2

Richard Petty: Dh did the ride along in Dec, he LOVED it. We got him it for Xmas and it was on sale, I think only$59 so watch for specials. We were gonig to just send him but he wanted us to come, so glad we did, we all had a GREAT time and it was fast, only about 45 minutes or so, highly recommended

Fish Extender gifs: Crissi and I have each decided on our gifts and we are both SO EXCITED with what we came up with, of course it will be a surprise

Hey all!

I went to the seperate disdoubledip website, registered and everytime I try to navigate the site I get an error message that says I need to 'log in' ... any suggestion?

Maggie

My family did the kayaking a couple of years ago and it was pretty "closed" in waters. They only allow you to kayak in a certain area so they can see you. My husband got stuck because the wind was so bad and the Castaway Staff went out to get the 2 of them in a waverunner and bring them in. They really liked it and Abby isn't a big fan of water. They won't even allow you to get close to the ship. They liked it!!!:) Hope that helps!

About the disdoubledip not loading thing (not loading Posts)... The only thing I can think of is that Microsoft came out with a vaguely worded patch for IE7 in the past week or so. The real deal is IE7 has lately started not loading certain types of files on the internet. The patch fixes that problem. I started seeing the issue last week, and talked about it at work. Someone let me in on the update and I saw in auto-update a few days later.

Lemme see if I can find the name of the patch.

ETA:
Update for Windows XP (KB932823)
Install this update to resolve an issue in which a user is unable to use Windows Internet Explorer 7 to download files on a computer that is running Windows XP with IME enabled. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

Okay. As previously posted, I have had no problems getting to a posting within a forum on my work laptop, which runs IE 6 on WIN XP and obviously through a firewall. I do, however, continue to have the issue on my home laptop, running IE 7.0 on Vista Home Premium.

I looked on MS's website to see if there were any patches for IE 7.0 for Vista as well, however I didn't see any. I just spent over one hour on the phone with Dell trying to troubleshoot. It did occur to me that on Wednesday, my machine automatically loaded a Window's update, and that's the same day that I noticed this issue on my machine. So, we restored my machine back to the way the system was prior to that download, however, that did not fix it. We even tried using FireFox instead of IE, but I had the same issue.

So the hardware tech tried all he could think of and looked at it through Remote Control, but wasn't successful, thus he transferred me to Dell's sofware support. I'm not interested in paying $239 for a one year contract of SW support when I'm pretty savy to deal with normal everyday issues, so I stopped there.

I'm interested in knowing if others who have had this issue pop up in the past week are also running Vista or if you're running XP as Brandie predicted.

Wonderful news that Sarah is now home!!

Does anyone know when Pirate Night is for our cruise? Don't want it to conflict w/Palo ressies if possible. (Apologies if this has already been asked...)

Thanks!

:rotfl: Funny isn't it, how 1 or 2 particular drivers can affect folks so strongly. I wasn't thrilled to see him win today's race. bummer.

I'm officially jealous of those who have had the chance to do ride-alongs or anything similar. :moped: Too bad that isn't offered as an excursion at CC or one of the other ports. LOL

Hi All,

I may be in the group that is having Vista trouble after tomorrow. My laptop bit the big one today :badpc: and I decided to get a new desktop. I hope I will not have the problems that everyone else is having.

Erica,

Doug and I did the Nature/Kayak excursion at Castaway Cay last October. I'm not sure if that is the same one you are talking about, but it was OK. I enjoyed it and I'm glad we did it, but we won't do it again. There were 3 couples and 1 single girl in our group. The first couple turned back about 5 minutes into the kayaking and left, but the rest of us went on. We went down a small estuary(?) and then turned around and went over to a nice private beach area to rest. When we were on our way back the wind was blowing and both guys pooped out and let their wives do all the paddling. :rotfl:

The kids really want to feed the Rays, but neither of them would have anything to do with the rays at SeaWorld. I'm still debating if we want to cough up the cash so they can chicken out again. We are booked to sail again on a 3 day in '09, perhaps we should wait until then.

Ugggg - Well, not only did I have to spend the money to buy a new computer today, but now are AC is not working!!!! :scared1: It was in the 90's today and we couldn't figure out why it was 83 degrees in our house. It's going to be a long hot night tonight! Thank goodness we have a friend from church who fixes AC's coming tomorrow. It's always scary to have AC work done by someone you don't know.

I hope everyone has a nice "COOL" evening and a lovely Monday!

Jen - I forgot to welcome Sarah home! I'm glad to hear all is well and she is home where she belongs!

Hello Kimberly,

I have Vista Home Premium on my Dell. I have not had problems with it loading like you are experiencing. Very strange. I'll let you know if anything comes up and mine starts acting up too.

Jen: So glad to hear that Sarah is home so you can relax (sort of)........

Hope everyone had a great weekend........we celebrated DD and DS's Birthdays yesterday and we had a big party as we do every year. Maybe I'll recover by next weekend.

Crissi
