I just got back and had an 8 day rental with National, EA for 121.00

Checked in and picked a G6 from EA and handed the booth attendant my email confirmation. No problems - yet. (I don't like the new setup with no RA from the attendant)

Checked the CC and found a $200 hold - unusual for National, they normally hold just the amount of the ressie.

Checked in yesterday, on time and the lot receipt said $170.00 - ???? Asked the attendant and he said that I had to call customer service.

Called this morning, they said that I had 3 ressies, cancelled 1, no showed 1 and rented on one. She stated that I chose EA when I had reserved a midsize with counter pickup.

I stated that I had 2 ressies, cancelled 1 and the email conf. stated 121.00 and level of service was EA. Gave her both ressie conf. #'s.

It turned out that the last ressie that I made somehow got entered into the system twice, 1 for EA with the priceless code and 1 for counter with just the Emerald Club code.

They did honor the email that I had and refunded the difference, but it would have been nice to have worked this out before hand.

Is it possible to check how many reservation I have if I don't remember the confirmation number? thanks.

When I was there in March with friends, the attendent told my friend she has several reservations under her member #. She said she was positive she cancelled all but the one. I always ask the attendent to confirm the price before leaving the booth.

We just returned from a WDW trip, had National/Emerald Aisle. Our car was a G6 - the sedan version, not the sunroof one, but still very nice. An attendant pulled it off of the line, because there wasn't one on EA when we deplaned. Our online/quoted rate for 5 days was $94(including taxes/fees), the rental tag said $107, but I didn't notice until we returned it. I'm always in such a hurry to *get* to WDW, plus we got an attendant with a Trainee...ugh, took them about 10 minutes to let us out of the EA booth area. ***(Note to self: Never get in the left-hand checkout lane of the main booth area...this is the second time we've gotten a Trainee there. Coincidence?...I think not!) The price that we were finally charged was the tag's $107, and I'm not going to quibble at that point about a $10 or so difference.

agnes!

I recently rented a car with National EA in Chicago. I also had two reservations on file even though I had cancelled one a month before. The girl was pretty rude about it but gave me the cheaper reservation.

Also, I did pull up my confirmation numbers on Nationals website and the one was cancelled so I don't know why she had it in her system.

FWIW, I print out two or three copies of the reservation from the website (in color!), and hand one to the attendant along with the other items. This is the best you can do to be sure they have the right reservation# and price.
