We should earn another one because we have a reservation for our October trip, plus a mini trip early December. It is nice that they are stackable. I have printed my certificate and if I go to the email now, it says...certificate already printed. OK, leave for the airport in 1 hour...! Will report any National issues when we return in 11 days from today..

BTW: you had to go to the emerald club site and register to be part of this program. You got one free qualification for just registering....so if you only plan to rent once (between Sept and December), you would qualify for a free day. (We rented in Sept, Oct, Dec, and the registeration, so qualify for 2 free days.)

I got 2 e mails from Dollar forgot to cancel one i guess...but will cancel the other min-van today, as we are taking DME to BWV's.. on the 28th ...glad they e mailed me.

Wondering what happen with the first person's reservations. Did you cancel one and keep the other or decide when you got there. I also have a reservation for an intermediate car and an uplander..we aren't sure if G-ma will need a ride. I called and they said we could decide when we pick-up..now I am nervous after reading this thread p/u is in 7 days.

Any other suggestions?

Wondering what happen with the first person's reservations

I kept both ressies and ended up using the midsize SUV one. Had them cancel the minivan at the same time that I picked up the other car. No problem. When I asked about this at pick-up, they said it is not a problem unless you pre-pay for the car. Seems too good to be true, but that's what happened and that's what I was told. I will not make a habit of this because someday the policy may change without my knowledge, but all was indeed fine this time.

I have two reservations for each of my upcoming trips to Orlando, one EA and one ER.

I called National and was told there would be no charge if I did not cancel the reservation I do not use.

Thay may be true but they also have language on the website stating you may be charged if a car is not cancelled by a certain time.
