Well I was able to get all my ADR's early this morning until I tried to book an early dinner at 4pm at Le Cellier and then book a late dinner at 9:30 Artist Point and they wouldn't let me do it. They said this was double booking. I said the ADR"S were 5 1/2 hours apart. I don't really eat breakfast and want to eat at Le Cellier for both lunch and dinner(on different days)The CM told me I should switch my Le Cellier dinner to lunch then I wouldn't have the problem but the menu is different so I want to do a dinner at Le Cellier also. I didn't have a problem doing this 2 years ago. The CM told me I could book meals 2 hours apart as long as they were different meals.:confused3 She told me that if she double- booked my dinner someone may end up canceling all my ADR'S. I do understand not be able to double book the same time but 5 1/2 hours apart is along time. I had all my days planned out with some early dinners and some late dinners so I may have to eliminate some restaurants. Do you think this is fair?
Thanks!!!!:)

Can you call back and put the reservation in someone else's name and give a different (maybe your cell?) number?

I understand what they're saying, but agree with you totally. 5 1/2 hours is a big enough window that shouldn't raise suspicions of double booking.

Why not just make the second ADR under a different name and telephone number?

Hmmmm......is that legal:rotfl: They asked for my name, address and reservation number can I call and not give them all that info? If I am using the DDP will that mess things up?Has anyone else done this? I don't want to get ruffed up by the ADR police.:rotfl:
Thanks for the great advice!!!!!!!::)

You're double booking and Disney is trying to give all guests a chance to book ADRs and use their plan. Follow the CM's advice and select another time slot.

I have all our ADRs and won't likely change and have no desire to eat at Le Cellier. So what you do wil have no impact on me.

However, so many people on these boards want to eat there and can't get in at all, let alone twice. Many others are getting really frustrated in finding ADRs period. So if you were in their shoes, what would you want you to do?

She's not double booking if she's planning to actually use both ADRs! :rotfl:

Double booking is making a 5pm ADR in one location and a 6pm ADR in another location with the knowledge that one would be cancelled (or a no show).

Disney told her she was double booking, not me, check her post. Just using the facts as presented.

Yes, it's legal. You can give them any phone number you want. I made some ADRs under my cell and some under my home number. When they pulled up my home number, only the ADRs attached to that number came up.

Last trip I just wasn't sure if we were going to split up one night for dinner or all be together, or even exactly where we would be, so I made two dinner ADR's for the same night, one in my name and one in DH's name, and there was no problem. We cancelled one of the ressies a couple of weeks later when we finalized our plans.

I am only double booking by Disney Dining standards. I am eating an early dinner at 4pm which some may think of as a late lunch. Then I had planned on eating a late dinner. However I can not eat a late TS dinner because I won't have an ADR. If people really want to get the ADR's of their choice then I suggest they do what I did and get up when WDW Dining opens and hold for 15 minutes.I am even staying Conceirge level and I could have let IPO make my ADR'S for me but I wanted to make sure it was done quickly so I got everything I wanted.
Thanks

You might even try again with a diffferent cm. might get a different response.
Or, ask to speak to someone higher up. That is a bit ridiculous. Disney finds ways to help make everyone's trip perfect, so they should be able to fix this for you. You just need to talk to the right people.

WDW Dining called it double booking because there are both "dinners"
they are not at the same time. I could book Le Cellier for lunch at 3pm and
Artist Point at 5pm and that would be okay, because they are 2 different meals. That doesn't make any sense. I was planning at eating at both of those restaurants I wanted to book.I wasn't taking an ADR I wasn't planning on using.

You can book and pay for a Disney vacation completely online. You can only make ADRs via phone, long distance I might add unless your already in Orlando. Not everyone can call and then hold for 15 minutes and take another 5-10 to select ADRs. I'll only make those calls from my cell phone...lol.

Keep in mind that those of us going, staying on site and getting the DDP are blessed, not everyone can have that. Free DDP will make this a dream come true for many.

Have an absolutely AWESOME trip! You've worked to make it magical for your group and I hope all your dreams for the trip come true.

Just call back and make the Artist point (or whichever one you haven't made yet) reservation. They don't pull up all your reservations to make a new one. It isn't there business if you want to eat a late lunch at 4pm and a later dinner at 9:30pm.

Plus - What if you were going to Artist point to have an appetizer and dessert, or just dessert? Who cares??? As long as you are planning to use both, it's your right. Even if the restaurant is hard to get, you still have the right to eat when and where you want. If you book it early enough, good for you for getting up early and booking instead of waiting till closer till our trip when Le Cellier could be booked.

I say call back and book what you want...........under your name with the same phone number. I wouldn't try to be sneaky, because your not doing anything sneaky.

Have a great late lunch and early dinner - Enjoy- they are both great meals!!!!

You can use the 1-800-828-0228 number and you won't have to pay for long distance. I know I am lucky to be going to WDW. I work hard all year to save the money to pay for my vacation. I am going in December and will not be getting free DDP .I will pay for it and it will be well worth it.I am going alone and I will certainly have a great time.I hope you enjoy your trip also.:)

the OP has a legitimate issue, the, what i consider ignorant practice of double booking is a debate for another thread. im glad disney is trying to do something about. using another phone number to fake them out, now ive heard everything.:headache:

Kata, I just want to share that I think that CM was full of it. I have a 4:50 ADR for Mama Melrose's and a 9:30 ADR at San Angel Inn, and I had no problem booking them. I made these reservations about a month ago for August 31. I would call back and try again. It would not surprise me one bit if you had no trouble this time.

Even though WDW says the OP is double booking ADR's I don't see it that way. In my opinion when you make an ADR for 5:00 PM and another at 6:00 PM for two different restaurants that is double booking. The OP made wanted to one at 4:00 PM for Le Cellier and another one at 9:30 PM for Artist Point, so there is a huge gap in times where that should not considered double booking ADR's.

Thanks for the great responses. The CM I talked to did talk to her supervisor while I was on the phone and she did say that if I had 2 dinner reservations for the same day all my reservations may be cancelled. I want to try alot of TS restaurants and unfortunately the lunch and dinner menus are not the same at Concourse Steakhouse and Le Cellier and I want to eat dinner at both of them. The signature restaurants are not open for lunch so that is not an option.I personally can't do alot of the rides on a full stomach so I eat later in the day. I may be on the DDP but I was going to be paying OOP for a few meals. I guess Disney doesn't really want my money that bad or they would find a way to accomodate people who want to eat 2 TS meals later in the day.
Thanks again!!!!!!!:)

I wonder (and sorry if I just missed this info) if this would have been an issue if you made an ADR as a cash-paying customer? Is it because they are both DDP meals?
