I have a question for you all - is anyone doing the Dolphin Encounter at Nassau? I am stressing over this. I booked too late and had to book directly with Dolphin Encounters and our time to leave the port is 1:30 pm (the early ones were booked already). My worry is that I heard from my TA that we are leaving from port at Nassau earlier than usual that day and I wonder if it will be a struggle getting back in time. Anybody in the same boat or have advice???

I have a question for you all - is anyone doing the Dolphin Encounter at Nassau? I am stressing over this. I booked too late and had to book directly with Dolphin Encounters and our time to leave the port is 1:30 pm (the early ones were booked already). My worry is that I heard from my TA that we are leaving from port at Nassau earlier than usual that day and I wonder if it will be a struggle getting back in time. I booked the Dolphin Encounter via Disney online. We are leaving at 9:30 am. The Dolphin Encounter says to allow 3 - 3 1/2 hours. If everything went as planned that would bring you back sometime around 5:00 pm.
I still show that we are departing Nassau at 7:30 pm but when I talk to DCL later today I will confirm that with them.
Check the DCL website often. People do cancel and change plans. Something might open up. If you don't get one before you leave you can you check when you get onboard (in the past about 1:30) go to the excursions desk to see it they have any openings.
You don't want stress about making the ship in Nassau so make sure your comfortable with the plans. Good Luck

RRB & YogiBigDog - thanks for answering my post. Yes, we are cruising with you. DDs 8 & 10, DW & me! We are sooo excited. Seems the time has passed so quickly, I have hardly spent any time on the boards here. Thanks for the info about the departure time from Nassau. I think I remember 7 pm too - don't they usually leave from Nassau much later? Anyway - knowing it is at 7 pm at the earliest makes me less stressed out about our late Dolphin Encounter. We can take our time getting up in the morning

Have you guys talked about how to pack for this trip? Are you bringing mostly shorts and summer stuff???

according to a Navigator from August of this year, the shows are Hercules, Golden Mickey's and Disney Dreams.

Hi Pat - I think we're meeting at 2:30 at Goofy's pool (the middle pool) on deck 9 (in case its raining) on the ocean side of the ship (starboard side).

2:30 at the Goofy pool sounds good to me. I'm not sure if the rest of my party will join me or not. They think my "obsession" is a little weird!

Definately summer stuff with a couple of cool weather things for the evenings or possible cold front.
