We then decided we better head on over to the Magic Kingdom, but first, Potty Time!
Look at Casey checking herself out in the mirror!!!
And, don't Arminda and Courtney look adorable!!! Everyone was having such a fun time!
While we were waiting for everyone, the girls had some fun posing on the stairs
Then, Mom had a stroke of genius!!!!!
How PERFECT is that shot!!!
It's Cinderella running out of the ball! She has even lost one of her shoes!
We were all laughing and relaxed and enjoying it! Ahh, this is the Disney magic!!!
Once we got to the second floor, we spotted a little gift shop, with a
GIANT
HUMONGOUS!
PIN TRADING BOARD!!!!!
There were some super cool pins on it too!!!
Corey had not brought his pins in, so he talked Arminda into trading a few for him!
I'm not sure if I mentioned it before or not, but we had given Courtney, Casey and Tessa a few pins to trade with when we got to Florida. So, Courtney and Casey made their first pin trade! Corey looked at me with such a look of pride on his face, I wish I had gotten a picture!
Casey found an adorable, big and soft stuffed Pluto, and used her gift card from Grandma to buy it.
Lydia found a baby Marie, and bought it, and Barbara bought a really cool Tinker Bell mug. Arminda looked around for a baby Nala, but she couldn't find one.
After our fun pit stop in the gift shop, we were on our way back to Disney!
Here we are in the monorail
Courtney is being very considerate, and not taking up a seat, so that other people can sit down.
David and Barbara
and, then we are there!!!
People kept trying to pose in front of us by these topiaries, which when it was crowded made things a bit difficult! I mean, yes they are very cool and all, but do you really expect everyone to stop at the entrance to DISNEY so you can take a pictures with some shrubbery???
But, if it's not crowded, I say go for it!
First stop, bathroom! The girls decided to look at a map to see where we should go.
Lydia had really wanted to go on Splash Mountain when we were there in the morning, but we hadn't had time. So, we headed over that way to see how the line was. It was pretty long, about 30 minutes.
That did NOT go over well with Lydia!
So, we bribed her with promises of doing it the next day we'd be there, and then hopping onto Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!! Fun fun fun! The wait for this was a little longer than I like (meaning over 5 minutes!) but it wasn't too bad, and it wasn't TOO terribly hot! As we approached the trains, everyone paired up. Mom with Barbara, Brian with Lydia, Dad with Corey, David with Courtney, Arminda with Casey. Which left, you guessed it, little old me, to ride all alone, all by myself, with nobody by me.
*sniff*sniff*
I didn't mind, no not me, I didn't mind at all.
*sniff*sniff*
It's really NOT as fun alone....
*sniff*sniff*
So, we went over to see how long the wait was for Splash Mountain, JUST as they changed the wait time to
SIXTY MINUTES!
UGGH! It looked like that would have to wait for another day!
Everyone decided that it would be fun to go on the Pirate Ride, so we headed on over that way again
We had already been on it, but it's always fun to do things again with your family! The girls were excited to be going on rides together! The wait said 30 minutes, but it was about 5. Yippee! Because as you know, I don't do lines!
We wants the red head!
I know you all know what the Pirate Ride looks like, but I'm going to share more pictures, anyway, for I fear this whole installment is a bit boring, and maybe some Johnny Dep pictures will liven it up a bit!
When we got off the Pirate Ride, we had to look through the gift shop, where I broke up a sword fight between my princess girls!! How unladylike! This gift shop gets my family every time! Brian has to look at stuff, the girls have to sword fight, Corey looks at stuff, and I'm the ONLY voice of reason reminding them all that this is a GIFT SHOP!!!
NOT a ride,
so let's shake a tail feather and go do something fun!
Something that we couldn't do at the mall!
It was getting dark out, and the park was nearing closing time, so we figured we had time for one more ride or so. We decided to go on a REAL adventure, an adventure through a dangerous jungle!!! We wanted elephants, head hunters, dumb jokes, and above all! We wanted to know what the backside of water looked like!
Let's go on the Jungle Cruise!!!! Woo hoo!!!!
Now, this sign said 45 minutes, but since nothing had been quite as long as the signs said, we figured it probably wouldn't be too long.
We
were
WRONG!!!!
REALLY
REALLY
REALLY
WRONG!!!!
It was a LOOOONG line!!!
But, as luck would have it, the CMs must have known that I was about to have a hissy fit after 30 minutes, so they had us play "If you are happy and you know it, stomp your feet". So, I got to stomp, and no one was the wiser! hehehehe They actually played that twice, we were in line sooooo long!!!
and now, for your viewing pleasure, line pictures:
Lydia appears to be enjoying herself!
We scored ourselves a descent skipper and set out into the wild jungle!!!
I don't recall ever doing this ride at night before, and let me tell you, it's a LITTLE (and by little, I mean a lot!) bit creepy in the dark!!!
It reminds me of my first trip to Disney when I was 2. Remember when they use to sop the boat in the tunnel, and turn out the lights and act like you weren't going to make it out? I believed them. I was PETRIFIED! Absolutely PETRIFIED!!! I think I even tried to crawl under the seat! I hated it for YEARS! Then, when they stopped doing that, I was sort of disappointed and missed it.
Until now,
Now, I remember why it was so scary!!!
Anything could be out there in the dark!
CREEEEEPY!!!
But fun!
When we got of, we all agreed that it was a much different experience at night!
We stopped and let the girls play with the little boats for awhile. We didn't give them any money, but they had fun anyway!!!
On the way out, we were stopped in our path by the electrical parade. Which, was probably pretty cool, if I had not been completely exhausted! It was a loooong day!!!
Corey took some psychedelic looking pictures
And finally we boarded the monorail and got on the tram back to our vans! Exhausted but happy!
And, for some reason, I thought I would make some stupid faces at the camera.
Of course, even odder than me making strange faces at the camera is me actually posting them on the Internet for everyone to see.
I don't know who took these pictures!
We were soon back to our vans, and driving home. The girls were asleep before we pulled out of the one and only exit.
And, thankfully stayed that way until the next morning!
I fell into bed too, as did everyone else! It had been a great day!!!
