What a great update..and I can't believe having no AC is not considered an emergency???? I can't imagine sleeping with no AC, and I wouldn't sleep with my windows open either!!

The girls look so beautiful in all their customs...you did a great job on them!! I love all those pictures....I can't wait to read more about your trip!

See, you should've called me when the air broke, maybe we could've talked B into driving my bed ridden butt to O-town AND fixing your air...a win win!!

Has NOONE in your family heard of a cell phone???:wave2:

You clearly share your fathers penchant for vacation photography- You barely got Corey into that shot!!! Not to mention I think your dad accidentally strayed into your pic of the castle:rotfl2:

Great update!!

Yeah, no A/C in FLA is an emergency in my book! I hope it gets fixed by the next installment!

Love the costumes, especially Giselle. My friend and I are making a Giselle dress for my 6 year old for MNSSHP/Halloween. (My little one will be Annie from Little Einsteins.) Did people realize who she was, or did you have to do a lot of explaining? Where did you get the teal fabric? It's PERFECT! :thumbsup2

What a great installment, Teresa! I love that picture of me and Arminda, too! I swear, I can tell you what that girl is thinking at any given moment. We are so much alike. :lovestruc It made me get all teary-eyed. I feel bad that I made her fret!

I had forgotten that I told mom to meet us at Dumbo, I just remembered telling her we were planning on riding it first! It sounds like we had a lot more fun than you guys in the first hour! :rotfl2:

I didn't get any coffee that morning either. I forgot to have Henry buy me some the night before. I was going on pure adrenaline!

I love seeing these pictures of the girls! They looked so pretty in the costumes you made them! I love the Jasmine costume, too! Did you think I was just lying to you because I love you? I guess I would do that, but I didn't in this instance!

:rotfl2: About the photography!!

We had 4 cell phones, collectively. But, we didn't know each other's numbers! Now that's what I call planning ahead! :thumbsup2 Actually, come to think of it, we did call Dad's cell phone, but he may not have had it with him that day. I don't remember!

The lack of cell phones (or ability to answer them) seemed to be a recurring theme throughout your trip, as I recall.;)

I can't imagine anyone saying anyhing not nice about the Jasmine outfit. I remembered wanting to CASE it when you first posted it, the fabric is beautiful and it looks so comfy, unlike Jasmine's actual outfit!

I love the Giselle dress!
Thank you! I really liked it too!

I know! If that's not an emergency, what is???

Thanks for the compliments! I wish I hadn't made Courtney's so long waisted though! I was going to add a tie in the back to help it fit better, but I ran out of time.

Oh man, I forgot B fixes A/Cs! Next time!

I'm thinking my Dad's cell phone wasn't charged. d, and Barbara forgot to bring the one she had. Brian and I don't have one.

Ok, in my defense, I have NO idea who took most of the pictures I will be posting! We shared all our picture, and I put them in on folder. I think the one of Dad was taken by Arminda. There are pictures in this TR taken by up to 6 different people! So, if it doesn't look good, just assume someone else took it! :lmao:

Great update!!

Thanks! I love the Giselle too! It was the first pattern I drafted by myself. I had to look at a lot of pictures online to try and get it right! A lot of people knew who she was, but a lot of people were confuseds (mostly guys were confused) People who had seen the movie knew who she was. The people that knew got very excited!

I got the fabric at Hobby Lobby, after a tireless search for the perfect fabric! It's a cotton, so it was nice and comfy too. It was on clearance when I bought it. If you want me to look for a number or a name from the fabric, just let me know and I will check it. I remember that it was made in Japan. I bought extra in case anyone else wanted me to make one.

1.)It is a sweet picture, isn't it! She was fine as soon as we found you guys!
2.)Yeah, you probably did! But, that's ok!
3.)It's amazing either of us were functioning! I was going to say that you should have come over for some coffee, but I guess that wouldn't have done any good! We could have shared that quarter cup
4.)Thank you Heather! I didn't think you were lying, but maybe just trying to make me feel better! Because, you are nice like that!

Yeah, it sort of wasn't it!!! Did we ever tell you what happened with that? If not, too bad, you will have to wait!

I loved that fabric too! I really wanted something Casey would be comfy in! She's big on comfy our Casey Joyce! :thumbsup2
Love the updates Teresa! Keep them coming, a bit faster! LOL!
Thanks Jessica!
Have you updated your TR?
Awesome updates!!! Loved every part of them!!
Thanks!

Whew! I didn't understand that either, and felt it was best not to say anything lest I look un-disney educated!
:rotfl2: It was just a brain blip on my part!

Hi there!!! Do you mind having another reader? Great TR so far. My sista is also my best friend so I understand the relationship. Can't wait to read more and now I'm off to your sista's report! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness! The girls all look so adorable!! My goodness I am so impressed by your sewing talents! I can't even sew a straight line to save my life....no kidding!!
You son Corey seems so sweet. He definately is not one of the rude obnoxious teenagers we all like to avoid!
You should be very proud!!
I'm so glad you finally got to the magic kingdom and I'm looking forward to more!!

loving it so far!!!! I think it's pretty cool that your kiddos got some pixie dust at the Disney store. I SO would have "helped" them pick out the pin that they wanted...

i'm horrible and controlling that way!

Hey, look who's here!!! Hi MissCammie!!!
I tried to gently direct them to the oh so cool 3D pins, but they just had other ideas! Darn kids with a mind of their own!
Aren't those ears great!! Brian and I saw them on a little girl last year while we were doing a timeshare presentation (Westgate, in and out in under an hour! We were shocked!), and we KNEW she just had to have those!! She agreed when I found them and showed her!

Great update Teresa! You were so nice to wait for Heather for so long in the parking lot :snooty: I can't believe how rude Mr. Emergency Contact was! I love the photos and can't wait to read about BBB!

Yes, aren't we a wonderful bunch! In one of our pictures you can see people runnig for a tram, I bet Heather was on it! :rotfl2:
The emergency contact was quite the jerk.
I'm glad you are enjoying the TR!!

BBB, update is coming up soonish!

Great :thumbsup2

I love all the pics - they really do tell the story :)

Can't wait for the next installment popcorn:: I might get over here quicker next time now I figured out how to use the subscription thing properly :rolleyes1

Just ask Corey! He will tell you!!! If I were the cussin' type, there would have been words!!! This computer was literally locking up every 4 minutes!!!!! :furious:

Then, we spent some quality family time hunkered down in the basement hoping a tornado wan't going to hit our house!

Oh, fun time at the teresajoy's, fun times...

The temperature dropped from 90 to 68 in about 5 minutes! :scared1:
Before I comment on your trippie I must say....Ahhhhhh   ! I dislikes me some tornado! Glad nothing happened to you! :duck: (<--thats as close to a "flying debri" smilie as we have on here! :rotfl: )

So I love the update! The girls are just adorable in their gorgeous princess outfits! princess: I am so glad you didnt wait forever in the parking lot! It's just surreal when you first arrive at the MK and see the castle. You think, dream, plan and wait for the time and suddenly you are living it! Wow! I have never been on the Snow White ride (unless I went as a little kid and forgot??). I do remember waiting to go on the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea which was right near Dumbo/Ariel right?? Anyways, I can't wait to see and hear about the BBB!!!! :woohoo:

Tornados scare the bajeebers out of me too! It was really scary for awhile!

Update is coming soon! My computer really hates uploading pictures lately!

I was quite concerned about Sawyer going on Snow White, but when he got off he was smiling! Heather said he really liked it!

We only had about a half hour before our BBB appointments, so we headed over to Pooh.

The wait is about 20 minutes, so we try to decide if we should wait. I suggested that we go over to see some of the Pooh characters that are out.

773f5227.jpg

Instead, we ended up letting the kids go into Poohs Playland to run around. Remember what they are wearing?

Isn't this a sweet picture of our Mom and David?

After a few minutes of watching the girls run around and crawl through the playland and after trying to stop them from getting wet in the little fountain thing that squirts up, I couldn't take it anymore and kindly ordered, I mean suggested, that we go wait for the characters so that the outfits I spent hours making do not get ruined BEFORE we got to BBB. :faint:

However, the line is REALLY REALLY LONG and REALLY REALLY REALLY HOT! They had changed the line since last year, and now there is one line for Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and that girl that isn't Christopher Robin.

85396eec.jpg

I think, well, maybe it just looks long and moves fast.

No, not so much...

After waiting in line for about 15 minutes, Heather (who had been trying to find some shade to sit under) tells us that we are never going to make it to the characters before our appointment. So, without much persuasion, we jump out of line.

I kick myself for not going on Pooh (seriously, why does anyone listen to me?) and we head to the castle for our appointments.

I think I am probably as excited as the girls are! The girls all sit down on the couch in the waiting room, being careful not to sit on the rather large wet spot in the middle of it. This location is very pretty, but I was shocked to see how dirty the couch was already. And, the big wet spot didn't help. We mentioned the spot to one of the FGIT, and she said, "You wouldn't believe how often that happens."
Um, YUCK!
No one made a move to clean it up or put anything on it.

The wetspot is between Arminda and Casey

At this point, Casey tells us she really really needs to go to the bathroom. Barbara stood around with her for awhile, and I finally told her that she should take her, and we would have some of the other girls go first. Even though we were a little early, they got Lydia, Tessa, and Courtney right in. A minute or so later, they also called Casey, but she was not back yet.

Lydia's FGIT, Susan, sat her down and started chatting with her. She was just wonderful, and was fully in character!

cc9de2bf.jpg

I loved it!

She even knew right away that Lydia was dressed as Giselle, which made me very happy!

As she started combing Lydia's hair, Lydia was looking rather nervous. Susan asked me if she had a sensitive head. I told her that she did. Susan said she would try to be very careful, but if it seemed that Lydia was not enjoying it, she would stop. I talked to Lydia and told her that if it hurt at all, or wanted us to stop, to let Susan know. Lydia told me she would.

As Susan chatted with Lydia, Lydia visibly relaxed, and I could see that she was enjoying the experience.

I just thought this was a really cute picture of Lydia
aa8c3c17.jpg

Barbara and Casey had come back, and a FGIT was working on Casey. However, Barbara was standing near the entrance of the boutique, looking unsure as to what she should do. I told her that she could go back with the girls (they were seated right next to each other). She didn't go, so I told her that it was ok if she went back, and asked her to take some pictures for me with my camera. She seemed happy to have a reason to go back and took off to take me some pictures.

The Photopass Photographer came by and asked if we had a card and which girls were with us. I showed her the three other girls, and she became rather huffy and said, "Those girls are spread out all over, I can NOT remember which ones go on your card."

OOOOK lady....

"I am going to have to use different cards for all of them, I am not going to try to remember who is with who." the Photopass lady said.

I replied that that would be fine with us, we would just put the different numbers into our Photopass account online. I told her the important thing was to just get pictures of all of them.

She still seemed a bit miffed with me. go figure...

So, I turned my attention back to Lydia. She was smiling, so I knew she was fine.

72928a55.jpg

She was also telling Susan how she wanted to be an astronaut when she grew up, and that we were going to Kennedy Space Center while we were in Florida. It was so sweet to watch Lydia opening up to Susan. Lydia doesn't really like talking to stangers, and half the time talks to people she knows without opening her mouth. Susan was so patient, gentle and attentive with Lydia. It was everything I had dreamed the experience would be!

We mentioned to Susan that we would be eating with Cinderella and the step sisters for supper. I suggested that perhaps the step sisters weren't really evil, but misunderstood. Susan, totally in character, told me "Oh no, they are just evil. They are so bad, we don't know what to do with them. They jump on couches and are very out of control. Not like Cinderella who is sweet and nice all the time." I got a big kick out of that!

When I asked her how long she had been working at BBB, she was shocked and told me she had not worked in many years! She was just having fun! And, you know what, I totally believe her! She was great!

As she was finishing up with Lydia, she leaned down and whispered to her,

"Now you need to make a wish because at the Magic Kingdom ANY dream can come true!"

In that moment, I truly and completely believed her! I really did!

And, the tears started flowing....

Susan called the Photopass photographer over, and then turned Lydia around...

If Susan was the perfect FGIT, this woman was the opposite! She did NOT smile

at all!

and she barely talked to Arminda.

Later on, Arminda told me "Mom, my FGIT was not very nice." I felt so bad.

But, Arminda looks adorable anyway!
