Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

Heather -

I just first of all have to say I  Tessa's Belle's dress. You are so creative that you can make up stuff yourself. One day maybe I will be able too. Anyway - when we saw Playhouse Disney (7 years ago) it was Bear and the Big Blue House only. I can't wait to go next year, even my 9 year old watches those shows, of course with his sister;) . I am so sorry that you keep getting these grumpy CM's, shame on them. I love the Muppet Show too but I also love the Muppet 3D at DHS too. I just found a Kermit shirt at Walmart the other day for $9, I love it. That's so nice you got to meet another DISer, cool:thumbsup2 . I hope I get to meet people from here. Great update and pictures as usual.

PS Glad to hear that Casey is feeling better, poor little girl.
I've got a Kermit sweatshirt and I love it! I had a Miss Piggy puppet when I was a kid. She was wearing a lavendar satin dress and she was just gorgeous! :rotfl2:

Make sure you have several prominent lime green mickey heads when you go! I had one on my purse, one on my diaper bag, one on the stroller, and sometimes one on my shirt!

i love the belle dress she is my favorite character and on my last trip after attempts of 4 previous trips i finally got to see the beauty and the beast show i just love it.
i am glad to hear your niece was okay i kept checking for updates because i was worried.
oh and as far as the cranky cms go we had the same problem on our last trip in november. yes i am a complainer and i also have the memory of an elephant says my hubby. so for your viewing pleasure in order of annoyance...
-mousekeeping leaving my hotel room door open not once but twice
- the front desk people refusing to apologize for it. even after i said to them all i am looking for is an "i'm sorry "
- no crib in the room at check in or at 2 am after my 4th phone call
-mk parking lot attendant with an attitude and a half. rather than folding a double stroller i figured it was easier to walk than take the tram. so i asked can i walk to the entrance. His response yes. me- how him oh i dont know h-e- double hockey sticks --with your feet. yes thats right he used a bad word and right in front of my kids and my mom too. i didnt think disneykins used bad words
- oh and plenty of photopass people who sighed when we asked for pics.
but i still love disney and the lovely waiter at tonys town square who overheard us talking about it and brought us free dessert and free tinkerbelle pins. see thats why i love disney only 18 days till i see the mouse again.

i didnt mean to make such a long post but i hope you dont mind i just wanted to sympathize about those cms. and yeah we l augh about it too.
i love your trip report. i'm done now i promise your kiddos are adorable ok really done;)
Only 18 days!!

Thank you so much for sharing your bad CM moments! I was beginning to think we were the only ones who could see them- like leprachauns or something!:rotfl2:

I can NOT believe that guy swore at you in front of the kids. Okay, I can believe it because I wouldn't have been surprised if a few of them would have swore at us.

I wonder if us complainers notice the bad behavior more than others. :confused3

Love, love, love the outfits again! What a great idea to mix Belle and Winnie the Pooh. sucking up to two characters at once. Brilliant!

Once again, you need to come to Miss Sarah for the WDW travel planning.

Here is the site you need for WDW entertainment:

http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

He updates the current times each Saturday or Sunday. If you are down there and have internet access, you can look it up also.

Off to serve dinner! :thumbsup2
The mix of Belle and Pooh wasn't such a stroke of inspiration as much as a stroke of "clearance". I had that Pooh fabric that I'd found on clearance for $2/yard, so I bought the whole rest of the bolt. So, I needed to use it for something!

I think TGM had a link to that site from his site. But, he said he'd keep his site up to date, so I trusted him. I bookmarked the one you gave me, though!!

"Look at her stuff, isn't it neat" :lmao:

"We are all going to die" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Yup that would have been one of those moments when I was supposed to be responsible and calm my scared child and I would have been to busy laughing!

LOVE  Tessa's dress BTW

I'm glad you liked the Ariel picture caption! I cracked myself up over that one. :lmao:

Yes, it was one of those moments for me. I was pretty sure we weren't going to die, so I was appreciating the humor more than I should have been when my poor daughter was terrified!

I thought maybe you were adding another installment.:guilty:

I guess I'll have to wait till I get back in town. I have been enjoying your report and Teresa's soooo much. I don't always comment, but I always read!

~Thank Goodness Casey is Ok UTIs are NOT FUN! Poor girl.
~I'm so jealous you got to see the new playhouse disney! When we we there last fall it was still bear and the other characters they don't even have on anymore so we skipped it!!
~ Poor Tessa, Thinking she was really going to die!! What a bummer about the CM NOT playing along! Again I say don't these people know where they work, That they are supposed to be making magic for people! How Rude!
~That scare crow thing with the gas mask is kinda creepy
~Sawyer looks very HOT
~Their outfits were adorable and tesse looked so sweet in her belle out fit by the belle sign! I love that show too!
~Good call with the alien on the movie ride! I distracted my kids too!

I hope Teresas alright. I know I haven't been around much this week but I haven't seen her posting and I even loaded my eeyore pictures just for her! (By the way did I tell you how cute you were in your eeyore shirt, Well you were!)
Great update Heather Looks like a fun day!!

Love the Belle and Cars outfits!

Sounds like a fun say.

Thank you for letting us know casey was doing better we were all getting worried about the poor girl.

Loved the pics of all the girls by the fountain at different ages. Great idea!

There was a great mom behind us and she was singing every song, quietly, right along with the performers. It was so cute!

Umm, when were you there? :) I've been known to sing along with almost any Disney song without even realizing it. Until my DH tells me to quit it.

Then, with our daughters. Her little girl was so sweet and wanted to be Tessa's friend. Look at her waving here!

DSC08831_800x600.jpg

Tessa was a little tired and hot and hungry, so she wasn't as friendly as she usually is.

DSC08832_800x600.jpg

Her son was with her and he was a little cutie, too! We chatted a little more and I asked where her lime green mickey head was. She told me she comes all the time, so she doesn't wear one.

I really liked her, she was so sweet!! We gave each other a hug and went on our seperate ways.

Hey that's me! And thats a REALLY BAD picture of me - but to my defense it was blazing hot and we were wasting time waiting for Toy Story Mania to open back up again when we ran into each other.

It was great to meet you as well Heather and Emily has been asking for a dress like "the blue one the little girl we met at Disney has" Unfortunately im not that talented so she's going to have to settle for something else I'll make her eventually. ;)

I think both our husband's were rolling their eyes at us that day. Mine was asking how I knew it was you... I told him it was the kids and Tessa's dress that gave it away!

Next time you're down let us know we'd love to hang out!

Oh and as a side note if any of the kids get sick again while you're here - if you take Osceola Parkway to John Young Parkway there is a Nite Lite Pediatrics over there that is GREAT with kids - they are run by Florida hospital and really do a great job checking the kids out!

Thank you, Denise!! I was waiting for Teresa to post her installment. Now I just have to write the words to my next installment (I already have the pictures together).

I don't remember exactly which songs were missing from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse segment, but I'm pretty sure they didn't sing the theme song or Hot Dog! They just sang some birthday song we'd never heard! That was a little disappointing!

Sawyer gets hot really easily. He's like his mother!

Thanks about the outfits! :cloud9:

Yes, poor Casey! She doesn't complain enough. If she would have let us know how much pain she was in, I'm sure her mom and dad would have taken her to urgent care!

I don't think we got a picture of Tessa by the fountain when she was 2 3/4. I wish I would have!

Umm, when were you there? :) I've been known to sing along with almost any Disney song without even realizing it. Until my DH tells me to quit it.

May 11, 2008! Was it you? ;)

Tessa and I went to the Beauty and the Beast musical at a local high school a while back. I really had to restrain myself so I didn't belt out all the tunes right along with the actors.

Krispy!! I thought your real name was Kristine, so I was close! Yes, my husband does a lot of eye rolling, so I'm sure he was doing just that! He thinks I'm nuts talking about my "imaginary internet friends" all the time!

Tessa, Sawyer, my mom, and I are coming down again from February 3- February 10. There are a lot of disboutiquers that are coming down those dates, too. We're planning on doing a dismeet. I'll pm you a link to the board where we're discussing our plans!

*Why should you call your MIL on mother's day? That is her son's job! Henry needs better training!

*Thanks for the update on Casey. I can't believe you and Teresa let us worry about her for days!

*I've never used TourGuide Mike, sorry he was inaccurate about the crowds and Playhouse Disney.

*The kids are so cute at Playhouse Disney. I can't believe mine have just about outgrown it. Maybe we can convince them to add Charlie and Lola! I cannot believe a kid told you no eating! That blows my mind. Jacob was playing a new song on the piano with his teacher and Megan ran in and told her it was a Little Einsteins song. She was very confused and I had to explain Little Einsteins to her.

*Megan said she would never ride Tower of Terror again but once she got home she decided it wasn't that bed. Maybe Tessa will have a change of heart. I am sure the boy screaming didn't help matters though. It's so nice that Tessa doesn't hold grudges!

*Their outfits looks great, of course! I think I am going to CASE you on the Belle one because it is just too perfect!

*The Beauty and the Beast show is my favorite at the studios. I could have been singing behind you, I love it so much.

*Loooove the baby Tessa and baby Lydia pictures! Soooo cute!

*We were not impressed with the parade either. We tried to get out before it started but we got trapped.

Sorry no Megan quotes. She's at camp this week. I told her that Tessa liked her book and she squealed.

Hey Miss Heather Sue - any updates on the horizon? I am sure you have nothing more important going on in your non-disboards life. ;) I think all of us with kids starting kindergarten this year need to plan an online meet to boo-hoo about them growing up too fast. Mine starts in 20 days and she will still be 4! (she turns 5 on 9/10) :scared1: My mind knows she's ready but my heart says she's still a baby. Have a great weekend!

Yes, we need to do that!! Your little one is so young! Tessa will be almost 5 1/2 when she starts. It still seems so young to me!!

I am going to be posting my next installment momentarily! Sorry for the long delay!

May 12, 2008

We decided to go parkless this day. Once again, I don't know for sure what Teresa was up to this day, so you'll have to read her TR to find out!

Anyway, today we wanted to relax a bit and also go to Downtown Disney. I made Tessa more outfits than we had days at the park, so she was going to wear her Minnie dot dress to Downtown Disney. She got lots of compliments on it, so that made me feel good!

My mom did her hair in the morning. Tessa's hair is fine and is all cowlicky, so I have a hard time with it. Mom's so much better at it than I am!! Here she is in the morning, all ready to go.

513_360x480.jpg

We wanted to be fancy, so we ate lunch at McDonald's. Sawyer was looking too cute not to take a few pictures.

Watch out for french fries to the eye...

IMG_1440_800x533.jpg

IMG_1441_800x533.jpg

IMG_1442_800x533.jpg

and remember, they shouldn't go up the nose.

IMG_1443_800x533.jpg

Meanwhile, Tessa decided to sample a lime from my Southwest Chicken Salad (which was very yummy).

516_360x480.jpg

Apparently, the lime was yummy too!

515_360x480.jpg

Does this seem like a reoccuring theme? Well, it is! We've encouraged our children to eat yucky things for our viewing pleasure since Tessa was but a babe.

Then, Mom and Tessa engaged in fascinating conversation.

DSC08858_800x600.jpg

After we were done eating and traumatizing our children, we walked out and saw the giant Legos!

Transformers are more than meet the eye. They are robots in disguise!

IMG_1444_800x533.jpg

Sawyer was thrilled by the Lego dogs.

DSC08873_450x600.jpg

DSC08881_450x600.jpg

Honestly, I did not see the sign that says not to sit on the Lego sculptures until after I took these pictures. I do try not to be a rule breaker, unless a snotty little kid informs me of said rule!

DSC08878_800x600.jpg

Tessa was fascinated, also!

IMG_1489_800x533.jpg

She went to stand by the water.

IMG_1492_800x533.jpg

WATCH OUT!!!!

IMG_1445_800x533.jpg

We went into World Of Disney, where I talked Tessa out of buying this Pegasus in a blankie. That girl wanted to buy every character in a blankie that she saw!

IMG_1446_800x533.jpg

She ended up finding a little pegasus in a purse keychain thingy that was a lot cheaper!

She was looking at the "wall 'o Minnie/Mickey" and I thought she looked adorable!

DSC08862_800x600.jpg

Tessa really wanted me to let her buy these, but we would have had to buy a new suitcase to take them home in! Or, ship 'em, which I wasn't going to do.

Sawyer found a Goofy that he really wanted. I wasn't with him (Mom took this picture),and I had his money, so he didn't get it.

526_360x480.jpg

527_360x480.jpg

Dad took some pictures of us in our "matching" outfits by a fountain.

IMG_1448_800x533.jpg

After he took the pictures, I realized that she was covering up the super-cool Minnie on my pant leg!

IMG_1450_800x533.jpg

We saw a lovely woman handing out free chocolate. So, we naturally gravitated that way. It was the new peanut butter and milk chocolate Ghiradelli chocolates. Mmmmm.......

IMG_1456_800x533.jpg

Tessa thought the Ghiradelli store would be the perfect place to get her twirl on.

531_640x480.jpg

I don't recall how we got this picture of Dad and I with no kids in it. But, you can see my Minnie capris. They were full length pants, but I shortened them into capris.

5552_360x480.jpg

Downtown Disney has such pretty landscaping and flowers!

Tessa had been saving for a box full 'o Ponies. So, we headed to that store next.

Here's the bow I made to match her outfit.

536_313x480.jpg

We paused for a picture before we went in.

537_339x480.jpg

Then, we entered a world of wonder!!

These stores are just too cool. If any of you have never been there, you cannot fathom what an awesome place this is for Disney lovers!

Tessa found a baby Simba wrapped in a blanket that she HAD to have. She convinced me to let her buy it by saying that it would match her Baby Simba outfit. How could I turn her down after that? To explain, she wanted to buy EVERYTHING and she doesn't really understand the concept that her money would not buy her everything!

544_360x480.jpg

Then, we were on to our serious business...

IMG_1466_800x533.jpg

Trying to stuff as many ponies and pony accessories into a little box as humanly possible!

IMG_1467_800x533.jpg

We did pretty darn good. That box was busting at the seams. I was most thrilled by the Little Mermaid tail and the Jasmine shoes. SOOO cute!

Tessa also picked out a Mickey head bracelet for herself for $5. She hasn't wore it since we came home.

While we were in the store, Sawyer was having a good 'ol time with Buzz outside. He was hesitant at first.

IMG_1459_800x533.jpg

But, he warmed up quickly.

IMG_1461_800x533.jpg

Soon, he and Buzz were best buds!

IMG_1463_800x533.jpg

IMG_1465_800x533.jpg

He wanted to climb Mr. Potato head. I imagine Mom put a kabosh to that.

IMG_1473_400x600.jpg

But, Daddy let him run amuk in the giant tinker toys landscaping.

IMG_1470_800x533.jpg

Thankfully, Grandma put a kabosh to that, too. He didn't mind because he had spotted some other cool stuff to play with.

IMG_1478_800x533.jpg

Buy me this, Grandma!

IMG_1480_800x533.jpg

By the time Tessa and I came out of the store, the kids and Henry were all shopped out. But, I wasn't!! So, Henry took the kids back to the house while I continued shopping with Mom and Dad. We went over to an outlet mall (I don't remember the name, but I'm sure Teresa does).

I spent all sorts of time scouring every inch of that store!! I ended up buying all this for around $80! Mom had given us grown ups $50/each for our anniversary gifts (for their anniversary! Henry gave me his), so I didn't have to actually spend any of my money!

- painting of the castle for my sewing room ($35, which was pricey for me)
- poster
- coloring book
- several bracelets
- necklace
- Epcot shirt for myself for $2.99!!
- Pink Princess sweatpants for myself
- Mickey watch for myself
- Goofy just like the one Sawyer wanted for $8 (the one at DTD was $20)
- Mickey head shaped playing cards
- Other stuff that I can't remember

The Mickey head playing cards were my personal favorite. I bought them for Teresa. When we were kids, we shared a bedroom. My mom once sent me to my room because I was being naughty, when I was about 4 years old. I was so mad, I just wanted to break something. Not wanting to break anything of my own, I picked up Teresa's round Cedar Point playing cards and tore them all up. Teresa was UN-pleased! Those were really cool round Cedar Point playing cards! Plus, it wasn't the first time I broke something of hers when I was sent to our room. My mom got me back by stomping on my favorite toy, right in front of me! :scared: It was this really cool toy that had gears that made different stuff go around. :sad2: But, I deserved it. *sigh*

Anyway, I bought the cards and presented them to my dear sister, in hopes that they would make up for the round Cedar Point cards.

When we were done shopping, we went back to the house. Tessa was waiting for us because she wanted to have her pool party. She had been planning on this pool party for quite some time. There didn't seem to be much planned, besides swimming. That was fine with me

This is the only picture I will be posting of me in a bathing suit.

IMG_1493_800x532.jpg

On this day, Sawyer decided that he liked the pool after all!

DSC08888_800x600.jpg

DSC08890_800x600.jpg

He liked it a little TOO much! He had no fear whatsoever!

DSC08895_800x600.jpg

Neither does Tessa!

IMG_1499_800x533.jpg

DSC08893_800x600.jpg

Even mom faced her fears and got in the water (she doesn't like the water too much).

DSC08892_800x600.jpg

IMG_1498_800x533.jpg

We just had a great time and cooled off and relaxed. Ahhhhh....

Up next: Can you feel the love tonight? Or, music on a train.

Well it's about time you posted an update so some of us can procrastinate at work!!!! Good bargains btw!!!

Mom is really good with hair, isn't she! Tessa looks so pretty!

OH I love the Lime picture!!!!!

Actually, do you remember when Corey was a baby, and he haited water???? We gave it to him just so we could video tape it! So, this has been going on a LOOOONG time!!!

I love the picture of Mom and Tessa talking!

Those baby characters in blankies are SO cute!

Aww, she is so pretty sitting with Mickey and Minnie!

Love the free chocolate!!!
Great Twirl picture!!!
Lydia really likes the picture of "Tessa getting her Simba."

Hey, that picture of you stuffing the Pony box looks like me!

I like the pictures of Mom and Sawyer together!

I love those cards! Thank you!!! I was really upset when Mom stopped on your toy though! I guess it was a good thing to do though. You are now officially forgiven!!!

It is amazing that Sawyer went from terrified of the pool to just jumping right in!

You guys look like you are having a lot of fun in the pool!

Ok, I guess I should get to work writing my next update, huh??

Nice update! I loved the toy stores at DTD also. Kinda thinking I should have gone into the chocolate store. Mmmmmm.

I am FORGIVEN!?!? Thank you!!! It has weighed heavy on my heart for 29 years!

Yes, you most certainly should get to work on your next installment. Mine was kind of lame, so hopefully yours will be better!

Nice update! I loved the toy stores at DTD also. Kinda thinking I should have gone into the chocolate store. Mmmmmm.
Well, yeah! Did you not know that they gave free samples??

What great pictures! Tessa is a doll!
Thanks! She sure LOOKS like a doll, doesn't she? ;)

Megan says Tessa looks beautiful in her minnie dot dress.

Love the pool party! Water babies having fun.
