Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

Well then my friend.. we shall plan it! Maybe do dinner somewhere in DTD, then spend the evening walking around, getting personalized Christmas ornaments made for us (A family tradition we started a few years ago). Heck ..... ya know how people "drink around the world" at EPCOT?? We should "Snack Around Downtown"! What more could you ask for ?
I love the "Snack Around Downtown" idea! :rotfl2:
Did you see the thread I started over on Shannon's board? We're going to keep track of who's going and such so it doesn't get lost in the disboutiquers thread. Here's a link:

Heather , jhave you posted that link on the DISBoutique thread with BOLD lettering where people can find it? If not, then I can!

I went to the site, registered and replied- thanks for the link!!

I don't see your reply on there. Are you sure you posted it on the "February Disboutiquers Dismeet!" page? That's where the link should take you.

I posted it once on the disboutique thread, but I screwed up the link the first time, so some may have missed it. You can go ahead and post it again in BOLD letters!!

May 11, 2008- Mother's Day!

When I woke up, David and Barbara were busily packing up their things to leave for the airport.

Oh, I'm such a liar! David and Barbara are not the early riser types. When I woke up, everyone else was sleeping, except for Sawyer. Sawyer and I snuggled for a bit on the couch and then Mom joined us. She didn't snuggle with us, but she came into the living room. ;)

Mom and Dad brought coffee with them when they "moved in"!! I hadn't had coffee all week (I snuck some at Teresa's house a few times). But, I found out that I don't really need it to wake up in the morning, I just like it! Anyway, Mom made some coffee and we sipped our coffee together for a bit.

I can't remember what Mom, Dad, Teresa, Brian, and the kids had planned for that day. But, I'm pretty sure it was a non-Dinsey day for them. I'll have to wait for Teresa's Trip Report! I'm pretty sure Brian was going to church since it was Sunday and he's a good Catholic boy!

Henry and I planned to go to MGM and to be there in time for the first showing of Playhouse Disney, per Tourguide Mike.

Being a Jehovah's Witness, my mom doeesn't celebrate Mother's Day. So, don't think I am a bad daughter for not spending the day with her! I am a bad daughter-in-law as I didn't even call my MIL on Mother's Day!

Anywho, I woke up Henry and Tessa and we all got ready to go.

Casey got up and she still wasn't looking too good, but she was looking a little better than the night before. Plus, she didn't have a fever. I snuggled her a bit and gave her hugs and kisses before we went. We told Barbara that she should take Casey to immediate care when they got home to see what was wrong with her.

They ended up taking her to the Emergency Room that night. Barbara said they took a urine sample and she had to wait for the test results to come in. On Thursday, she still hadn't heard back from them. We encouraged her to call, or to take Casey in again. Casey was still running a fever, so Barbara took her in to see her pediatrician. The pediatrician gave her a different antibiotic. Barbara told us that the doctor said Casey had a staph infection! When she told us that over the phone, we were very worried because that sounded REALLY serious! When we got home, Teresa called the pediatrician and asked her what was going on with Casey (Barbara has Teresa's name down as someone who can call and ask about their medical issues since she can't hear). She (Nyla, a wonderful NP or PA, I can never remember) told Teresa that there was never a question about Casey having a staph infection and that she had a nasty urinary tract infection. This is why Barbara needs to get things in writing when she goes to the doctor.

So, poor little Casey was suffering from a urinary tract infection for days. I feel so bad for her! We should have gotten her into an immediate care center in Florida. But, it's so hard to tell when there's really something wrong or if they just have a "bug".

All of that medical stuff took place later in the week, but I didn't want you all to keep worrying about Casey. She's fine now, thankfully!

Back to my trip report:

DSC08725.jpg

We pulled into the Disney Studios parking lot with plenty of time to get to Playhouse Disney for the first show.

According to TourGuide Mike, that would be at 10:00am. He specifically said he would keep that page up to date since it's so important to get to the first show. I had planned this day pretty carefully so we could make it to all the shows we wanted to see, and not stay so late that the kids were exhausted.

The idea of going back to the house for a nap exhausted me! It would take about 1/2 hour to walk out and take a tram to the car, then another 1/2 hour to drive to our rental house, then an hour or two of rest time, then another 1/2 hour drive, and another 1/2 hour to park and get back into the park where we left off! By the time we got back to the park, it would be almost bed time for the kids (after we left and spent 1/2 hour getting back to the car and another 1/2 hour to drive home)!

As we went through security, Henry considered asking the guy how many guns he had found today. But, he decided that probably wasn't a good idea. Do any of you actually feel safer because you know these old guys are glancing in everyone's bags? I would think an armed person would probably wear the gun, not put it in a diaper bag that they know is going to be searched.

I had the standard problem with my tickets trying to enter the park. This CM didn't mind that I'd used my finger for the kid's passes, but insisted that Henry scan his finger. I told her that he had not had his finger scanned yet, so there was no way it would match the scan on the tickets. But, she made him do it anyway. I really wish they had a standard procedure for this. Most CMs, including the very first one on the first day, only wanted me to scan my finger, but a couple of them gave me a hard time about doing it that way. Grrr!!!

We went back to Playhouse Disney first- only to see that the first showing was an hour before Tourguide Mike said it was! We'd missed it!!! Grrrr!!!! That threw off my plans for the rest of the day. Oh well, we would still have a good day!

Tessa and I ran over to see if we could walk onto Tower of Terror. The line was already pretty long, so we got fastpasses. Yes, this was a green day, according to Tourguide Mike. But, it was pretty packed already!

Then, we all went into The Little Mermaid Show. Sawyer and I waiting:

DSC08727.jpg

The last time we saw this show, Tessa LOVED it! But, this time she was indifferent to the whole thing. It didn't seem as good to me, either. We were sitting in the back of the theater and I wonder if that's part of the reason. :confused3

Look at her stuff, isn't it neat?

DSC08731.jpg

After the Mermaid Show, we got in line for Playhouse Disney. It was a pretty long wait, but I didn't want to have to wait around in this area for the 3rd show of the day. The kids played a bit while we were waiting.

DSC08735.jpg

DSC08737.jpg

As they were letting us into the theater, I spotted Disney 4 Me- Chantelle!! I waved and yelled "Chantelle!" She saw me and returned my wave. But, I didn't see her again inside the theater. I think I might have said "Chantelle" to her sister, but she was right there, so she knew I was talking to her! LOL!

Tessa and I waiting for the show to start:

DSC08739.jpg

I was pretty excited about Playhouse Disney because Tessa and Sawyer LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So, I couldn't wait to see their faces during the show. I wasn't disappointed! They LOVED it!!

DSC08741.jpg

Look at how excited Tessa looks!

DSC08743.jpg

Let's talk about the kid behind Tessa in this picture- the little boy with the glasses. Before the show started, Sawyer was getting a little antsy. So, I was giving him some of my mints. I was handing him one at a time and trying to get him to eat them slowly. This kid, who was probably about 7 or 8 years old, leaned forward and said to ME very loudly, and very snottily- "You are NOT supposed to be eating in here! Stop giving him food! You are NOT supposed to be eating!" I turned around to see if his parents were tolerating his behavior, or if he was getting eyebrow arched by them. They were just sitting there looking at him and nodding. So, I said "You are NOT supposed to boss adults around! That is very rude!" I can't imagine letting my child talk to an adult that way- especially a stranger!!! I tried to ignore the snotty child for the rest of the show. Plus, I gave Sawyer a few crackers (one at a time, he wasn't making a mess), making sure that the little boy saw me doing it. :snooty:

Back to happy time...

Sawyer was just enthralled!

DSC08745.jpg

Even the Disney-hater seemed to be enjoying himself.

DSC08746.jpg

Next up was the Little Einsteins!

DSC08749_800x600.jpg

Yet another show the kids like to watch! In fact, whenever Tessa hears a piece of classical music that was featured on Little Einsteins, she says "Mom! That's the Little Einsteins song!"

Look at the look of wonder on Sawyer's face!

DSC08747_450x600.jpg

Look at Tessa's excitement!!

DSC08750_450x600.jpg

My Friends Tigger and Pooh were last.

DSC08751_800x600.jpg

Tessa and Henry were enjoying them, too!

DSC08752_450x600.jpg

It was really fun seeing the kids get so excited about the show. Tessa can be a little reserved when she doesn't have her friends (aka: her cousins) around. But, she was up and dancing and singing. I even have video of her doing a little dance. I love the nervous, but having fun, look on her face!

After the show was over, we planned on heading over to Tower of Terror to use our fast passes. But, we spotted the High School Musical show!! We stopped to watch it. It was already scorching hot out, so we stood back a little in the shade. We couldn't get close anyway because there was quite a crowd gathered there.

DSC08758_800x600.jpg

Tessa stood up on the back of the stroller to get a better view. She still couldn't see, so she wasn't too happy.

DSC08757_450x600.jpg

But, I gave her and Sawyer some crackers, so they were reasonably entertained for a few minutes.

DSC08755_450x600.jpg

They didn't seem to be enjoying the show too much, since we couldn't see it. So, I asked Tess if she wanted to go ride on Tower or Terror instead of watch the show. She was more than happy to leave! That's my girl!!

She had been going back and forth over whether or not she wanted to ride Tower of Terror on this trip. She'd never been on it. I told her that it was dark on the ride and it went through a part that was a little scary, then it dropped really fast a few times. So, I think she had a pretty good idea of what to expect. I was really surprised that she wanted to ride it!

We got up to the guy who tells you which side to go on (before you view the little movie). There was a mentally handicapped guy in front of me and he told the CM there. "I'd like a room on the 13th floor, please." I thought it was cute, but the CM just rolled his eyes and said "left". I was glad to see my family wasn't the only one being mistreated by CMs, but upset that he didn't play along with the little joke. You could see the guy had obviously planned on saying that for quite some time. How hard would it have been to just play along? The CMs were decidedly uncreepy. I remember when they used to really play it up and try to act creepy (like our waiter at Whispering Canyon Cafe, who wasn't trying to be creepy, he just was). But, these CMs were just grumpy. They weren't making any sort of effort to act like anything. Maybe they have discontinued the "creepy classes", I don't know.

We got to the queue area right before we got into the elevator and I decided to take a picture of Tessa.

DSC08759_450x600.jpg

She was SO excited!!

We sat down in our "elevator" after being listfully ordered in by the uncreepy, but rude, CM. We were up front and Tessa was sitting next to 2 boys who were about 8 and 10. Tessa was doing really well and she wasn't clutching my hand for dear life.

Then, we rolled forward and got ready to drop.

The kid next to Tessa thought this would be an opportune moment to scream-

"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!"

Then, we dropped.

Honestly, I thought the kid was pretty funny.

Tessa did not...

I bet you can guess how much Tessa loved the ride after that comment! The kid kept screaming it.

Tessa actually didn't seem to mind the first few drops, but by the 5th one, she said the dreaded- "I want to get off now, Mom." I told her it was almost over and that we'd be off soon.

We stopped dropping and backed up. The kid next to Tessa was still continuing his audio commentary.

"Just wait, we're going to go back out there and drop again. You think it's over, but it's nnnnnnooooooot!"

To be fair to this kid, he was talking to his brother and I don't think he ever gave a second thought to the fact that he was terrifying Tessa.

The ride was over and we stood up. Tessa found a pair of sunglasses on the seat that was formerly occupied by one of the boys. She picked them up and said "This belongs to the screaming kid. He sure was scared! We can't keep them because that would be stealing." She then ran off after the kid and handed him his sunglasses. He was very thankful and sweet. Obviously, Tessa held no grudges toward him.

Tessa let me know that she NEVER wanted to ride Tower of Terror again. She didn't even try to pretend that she wasn't scared, like she did on Dinosaur!

We met up with Henry and Sawyer and decided to see the Beauty and the Beast show. The show wouldn't start for another 1/2 hour. I told Henry we should all get some ice cream while we waited. But, he didn't make a move to get it and I didn't want to wait in line. So, we just played around in the "victory garden" area behind a snack place.

DSC08760_450x600.jpg

Yes, I did make Sawyer's outfit! Thank you for asking! I made the shirt and then I added patches on the shorts from a different Cars fabric. The shorts are the only thing I've completely copied from another Disboutiquer to this date. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

The kids were really enjoying themselves.

DSC08769_450x600.jpg

I tried to get a good picture of the kids together, but I failed! Those little boogers move fast!

DSC08770_450x600.jpg

Yes, I did make Tessa's Belle outfit. Thanks for asking! I made my own pattern for the jumper and apron!

DSC08771_450x600.jpg

Here's some more pictures because they were having fun doing such a simple thing. They were just being so cute!

DSC08775_450x600.jpg

DSC08776_450x600.jpg

I told Henry that he and Sawyer could stay out and play for a while. Tessa and I would go in and get seats. I told him to meet us in there 5 minutes before the show started.

I could see it wasn't going to be very crowded, so Tessa and I goofed around a while before we went in. Here she is in her Belle dress, in front of the Beauty and the Beast sign.

DSC08780_450x600.jpg

Planning to splash Mommy.

DSC08782_450x600.jpg

Then thinking better of it and pretending she was just striking a pose!

DSC08783_450x600.jpg

She was fascinated by the handprints and signatures outside the theater!

DSC08787_800x600.jpg

DSC08790_450x600.jpg

DSC08791_450x600.jpg

We went and got some seats and Henry soon followed. It was more like 10 minutes before the show, so we had to try and keep Sawyer entertained. There was no preshow by those singing guys in polo shirts and shorts, so it lacked any sort of entertainment.

DSC08797_450x600.jpg

Once the show started, he was very interested in it, though!

DSC08798_431x600.jpg

I just LOVE this show!! I love the music, the dancing, the costumes! It's wonderful!!

DSC08807_800x557.jpg

There was a great mom behind us and she was singing every song, quietly, right along with the performers. It was so cute!

DSC08813_427x600.jpg

We had some good seats, huh?

DSC08815_800x567.jpg

I love the Great Movie Ride, so we headed over there. I have NEVER waited in line for this ride. So, I was surprised to see a line coming out the door! We got in it anyway because it didn't look like it was getting any shorter and the park was packed.

The line is pretty interesting anyway. I liked seeing the old costumes and stuff, pretty neat! Tessa was very excited to see a carousel horse from Mary Poppins!

We finally got up to our little moving theather thing and I was surprised to see that our "tour guide" was a woman in her 60's (or so). Pretty cool, considering the action sequence.

DSC08817_800x600.jpg

Tessa was pretty excited to see Mary Poppins!

DSC08818_450x600.jpg

Munchkin Land!

DSC08823_450x600.jpg

Tessa wasn't as scared of the witch as she had been when she was 2 3/4! Sawyer didn't seem to mind her, either.

DSC08825_450x600.jpg

DSC08827_800x600.jpg

I had to distract Tessa and Sawyer so they wouldn't look up during the Alien part. I KNEW Tessa would freak out if she saw that thing. So, I whipped out some crackers!

The ride was great and we were trying to decide what to do next.

As we were walking I heard someone say "Are you Teresa?!!!" I looked and saw a woman walking toward me. I said "No, but I'm Heather!" She said "I knew I recognized that Belle dress!" She introduced herself by her real name, which I can't remember (sorry, I'm awful with names) and then said she was Krispy on the Disboards! I was THRILLED!!! I said "I know you!!!" It was SO cool to meet her!

We chatted for a little bit and she said she was there for the AP passholder opening of the new Toy Story ride (HELLO Tour Guide Mike, perhaps that's why it was so crowded!). But, it had been closed all day so she hadn't been able to ride it yet.

We got a picture of the two of us.

DSC08830_800x600.jpg

Then, with our daughters. Her little girl was so sweet and wanted to be Tessa's friend. Look at her waving here!

DSC08831_800x600.jpg

Tessa was a little tired and hot and hungry, so she wasn't as friendly as she usually is.

DSC08832_800x600.jpg

Her son was with her and he was a little cutie, too! We chatted a little more and I asked where her lime green mickey head was. She told me she comes all the time, so she doesn't wear one.

I really liked her, she was so sweet!! We gave each other a hug and went on our seperate ways.

We were getting hungry, so we decided to head over to ABC Commisary for lunch. This time I let Henry decide if he wanted to order the food or stay with the kids. He chose to order the food. I guess he finally figured out that was the easy job!

I told him to get me a sandwich, but to make sure to tell them "no mayo or mustard". I HATE mayonaisse and mustard!! That's not food! They are not fit for human consumption!! BLECH!!! Henry knows this and knows I will NOT eat anything that has touched mayo or mustard.

I took the kids and we sat at a table and waited, and waited, and waited. It takes SOOO long to get your food at these places! The kids were really hungry, so I got the crackers out again to avoid a meltdown.

Finally, Henry arrived with our food. I handed everything out and then I almost took a bite of my sandwich, when I smelled- MUSTARD!!!! Have I mentioned that I detest mustard?! You might as well dunk my sandwich in a toilet! I told Henry it had mustard (and mayo) on it and he said "I didn't tell them not to put it on because I just thought they'd give you packets to put it on yourself." Grrrrrr.... I was really hungry! So, I swiped his cheeseburger and gave him my nasty sandwich. He was un-pleased! But, I wasn't going to wait another 1/2 hour for food and I wasn't going to eat that thing.

We finished eating and headed on out.

DSC08816_450x600.jpg

How sweet are they?

I wanted to meet some characters. The kids love Monsters Inc and Toy Story, so I was hoping to catch some of them. I looked at the schedule and it said Buzz and Woody would be in front of Al's Toy Barn soon. So, we headed in that direction.

Man, it was getting REALLY hot!! So, I was just about done. We headed over to Al's Toy Barn, spotted Woody, and got in line. Then, the handler came over and said they had to close the line so Woody could get ready for the parade. Darn it!!! It would be quite a while before he was back. :sad2: We walked around looking for the other characters that were supposed to be there and no one was where they said they would be on the schedule!

So, we didn't meet a single character that day, except for Krispy! ;)

We did get some pictures, at least. Here's Tessa and I standing right smack in the middle of a road!!!

DSC08833_449x600.jpg

Henry's not the best phototographer and didn't realize this was one shot that wouldn't work as well in closeup. But, he got one of us walking away.

DSC08835_747x600.jpg

Next, we found the "magical umbrella". It took me a while to figure out how it was working.

DSC08838_425x600.jpg

Then, I realized you had to stand on the little pad under it to get sprinkled, I think! I'm still not sure.

DSC08839_441x600.jpg

We headed to the fountain in front of the Muppet Theater. I am going to dumbfound quite a few of you by saying that I don't like the Muppet movie. I loved the Muppet Show as a kid, but this show doesn't do it for me. Tessa wasn't aware that it was there, so we just got some fountain pictures.

We got some adorable pictures at this fountain when Tessa was 14 months old. Here's some of them. Look how cute she was!!

e0d6.jpg

Here's Aunt Barbara holding her right next to the fountain.

e101.jpg

Just for good measure, here's Lydia by the same fountain when she was 17 months.

Here are our pictures from this year. Sawyer was sleeping, I think.

DSC08841-cropped_418x600.jpg

DSC08845_800x600.jpg

DSC08848_800x559.jpg

We thought we'd go watch the parade, so we headed that way. But, Tessa spotted this car along the way and HAD to stop and see it.

DSC08849_450x600.jpg

It was right around this area, on our last visit, (when Tessa was 2 3/4) where Tessa lost her shoes.

We were watching the parade and then we started walking away. I looked down and saw that she wasn't wearing any shoes! I asked her where her shoes went and she told me that they ran into the road and got hit by a car. Hmmm....that sounds questionable...

We searched around for her shoes, but we didn't find them! I reported it to guest services, with no real hope of seeing her shoes again.

About 2 months later, I received a package from Disney. Guess what they found? Her shoes!! I was amazed!

I wonder where they had been, and how they washed the tire tracks off...

We made it over to the parade area and decided it was a good time to cool off with some ice cream snacks. I waited in line to get them while Henry kept the kids out of the heat in a gift shop. I felt like my head was on fire as I waited in line. Ugh!! I think everyone in the park decided to get some ice cream while they waited for the parade. I finally made it to the front of the line and got the weirdos their fruity popsicles while I got a chocolate covered Mickey bar.

We sat in the shade to eat them and people watched for a while. The kids made a total mess, so I wet some napkins in a drinking fountain and tried to clean them up a little.

Since we didn't wait in the blazing sun for the parade, we didn't get a very good spot to watch it.

DSC08851_450x600.jpg

Honestly, I don't think we were missing much. What a poor excuse for a parade! They just stopped in the street and if you weren't in the right spot, you weren't going to see anything!

If you could see, it looked like the cast of Hi-5 had relocated to Disney World and got an even more obnoxious wardrobe!

Even the kids were unimpressed.

DSC08852_450x600.jpg

Henry dumped water on Sawyer's head a few minutes before to cool him off a bit. He loves to get wet!

We were really ready to go and were really hot. But, we couldn't get past the "parade", so we went into a gift shop again. Tessa kept finding things that she wanted to buy me for Mother's Day. But, I convinced her that I was very happy with my magnet and antenna topper (which I was). She insisted on getting me "one more thing". So, she went over to the squished penny machine and bought me a Little Mermaid squished penny. That girl is SOO sweet!

She found a Marie pillow that she loved, but she didn't want to buy it. So, she gave it a big hug before she put it down.

DSC08855_450x600.jpg

After the parade, we left the store and started walking out of the park. Tessa found a white carnation on the ground, picked it up, and gave it to me. I had seen everyone walking around with these carnations, but I don't know where they got them. Now, thanks to my little sweetie, I had one, too!

We found a photopass photographer on the way out. He was spending a lot of time with a young couple and posing them really cute, taking LOTS of pictures! So, we waited patiently for our turn, thinking he'd be great. I handed him our card and he just started taking pictures.

image507_398x600.jpg

image510_428x600.jpg

In case you're wondering, Sawyer is wearing socks with his sandals on this vacation because he got some really bad blisters on his feet right before we left!

image511_398x600.jpg

Notice Sawyer's finger in that last one?

I asked the photographer if we could do something fun for our next shot. He actually rolled his eyes at me and said "Put your arms out." Tessa did just that and he got upset with her and told her to turn. I tell you what, people, I was pretty sick of meanies on our trip by this point!! I said "Just take the picture if you're going to be mean about it." So, we got one more forced picture and I snatched my card back from the jerk.

image512_398x600.jpg

As Teresa has mentioned in her TR, we like to complain. So, even though these rude people made us mad, it didn't ruin our day or anything. It just gave us something fun to complain about!

We left the park and went home to crash. We ordered some pizza from a really good pizza place that was down the road. They had some good Italian food, and it was cheap! We got food there quite a few times on this vacation.

In case you think I forgot the part where Henry handed me a very special Mother's Day gift, you are sadly mistaken! Henry doesn't "do" gifts very often. When he does, it's a total surprise, though! I guess he thought taking me to Disney for 2 weeks and going along with everything I wanted to do was gift enough. He was right! I love that man!

Up next: Disney Shopping Nirvana

I'M FIRST!!!! YEEhAW!!!!!:cool1:

Oh HeatherSue you are so hilarious!!!

I LOVED your response to that outrageously RUDE, ill mannered, obnoxious child at PlayHouse Disney!! I'd have done the same thing!!! Told him what a rude little POOT he was, slapped him around with an eyebrow arch and then proceed to give my child 84,000 more crackers...b/c NO ONE is the boss of me but ME!

:cool2:

you and I are officially best buds!:lmao:

I had a dumb moment when I saw the picture of Henry holding a baby Tessa at the fountain...I found myself thinking..."Who is that little girl Henry is holding on to?" :lmao:

The outfits the kids were wearing...FABULOUS!!! Love love LOVE Tessa's Belle outfit. It's really beautiful. Sawyer's car outfit is super darling too!!

This sounds like it was a very fun day!! I can't believe Tessa went on Tower of TError!! I'm trying to decide if I should make Sally go on it...she'd hate it...but then we don't grow if we don't challenge ourselves...

poor kids...too bad they have a social worker for a step mama...who is also very wicked.

oh well...:confused3

;)

YAY FUN chapter!!!!

so glad Casey is okay...poor baby must have felt WRETCHED for a while.

can't wait for more!!!

Great TR and clothing, as always.
Can you just get those "the gang's all here" incredibles buttons at Guest relations?

Oh I am so glad Casey got better, I know she must have been feeling terrible!

My Dh is a Mustard, Mayo hater also! I mean HATES IT!!! WITH A PASSION!!!! He hates anytnig creamy, sour cream, salad dressing, creamy mac & Cheese...So I get the whole sandwich thing...yet, I would not EVER assume there was nothing on it like Henry...I have learned to repeat myself several times. One time early in our marriage, I forgot to ask at a drive thru and DH flung his sandwich out the window! (no paper on a country road) I was shocked, but I learned!

Loved the kids outfits! So cute!

I loved Playhouse Disney, I hope my kids get into it more next time! I was!

We missed the block party bash parade...glad to know we didn't miss much! I love the Hi-5 thing...I really wonder about those kids...too much caffine!

Katie thanks you for the pictures of the Wizard of Oz...I didn't take any pics...

I'm best buds with Miss Cammie!! :cloud9:

I really think Tessa would have liked TOT if it weren't for the kid screaming "We're all gonne die". Go figure? :confused3

It was a fun day! Sometimes I get too involved in my whining to say how much fun we were all having!

Great TR and clothing, as always.
Can you just get those "the gang's all here" incredibles buttons at Guest relations?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's where they got the buttons. Teresa will have to answer that one because they got them when we weren't with them.

I feel your husband's pain! It's not that mustard and mayo are creamy, for me. It's that it's absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!! There are food that I really don't care for. But, I can eat them if I don't want to hurt someone's feelings or something. I really could NOT eat mustard or mayo. I just couldn't do it! I also can't eat anything with mustard or mayo in it- like potato salad, deviled eggs, etc... BLECH!!!

Henry and I had a big blow-out when we were building a house in 2000. He went to Subway to get us sandwiches and when he came back- mine had mustard and mayo!!! He said I had never told him that I didn't like these vile things. I knew I had told him, sometime in our 10 years together (at that point) that I HATE mustard and mayo. I was mad, he was mad, and I didn't have anything to eat. :headache:

So, you'd think that by this point, having been together for 18 years, he would remember this little bit of weirdness about me!:rotfl2:

Woo-hoo another update!

Although I like mayo, I also hate mustard but DH knows to say no mustard when he orders for me just to be safe. :lovestruc

Poor Casey! She must have felt awful! Glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious and that they got her fixed up. I never know when to call the doctor either - it is so hard to tell if something is just a bug or something more. DD has been fussing about a sore leg for over a week. I am 95% sure it is just growing pains but what if it isn't? I hate to drag her to the doctor over nothing though.

You guys sure have had terrible CM's this trip! I hope that is just a fluke and is not the direction things are heading at WDW.

I can't believe that child at Playhouse Disney had the nerve to say something to you about not eating in there (I hardly think popping a few mints constitutes "eating") and his parents did not say or do anything!

Looking forward to reading what Teresa and her gang did that day!

Playhouse Disney looks fun! It was closed when we were there. Luke and Lily would love it. I hate bossy children! My kids have a few friends like that :sad1: I boss 'em right back too :snooty: Tessa and Sawyer look so cute watching the show. You can see the magic! I remember a really good ToT cast member at Disneyland. He was creepy in a funny way. Sorry Tessa got unintentionally tormented by the "big kids" nad didn't like the ride. Speaking of creepy, what's up with the gas mask scarecrow? :confused3 I really love Tessa's Belle/pooh dress! She looks so pretty in blue! (and Sawyer's Cars outfit is prett cute too :thumbsup2 ). I can't believe we missed the Beauty and The Beast show when we went! Good thing we're going back! DHS was packed when we went too--in January! It was really crowded :confused3 Maybe the kids are not scared of the "Wicked Witch of the West" anymore because they now realize she is just the poorly misunderstood animal-loving Elphaba? Yay for more Dis meets! You don't like mayo, mustard OR the Muppet Movie? I'm going to have to reconsider our friendship :snooty: At least you like chocolate. And Italian food. Those were some cute pillows in the giftshop! Mike is like Henry, not so big on the gifts. Once in a while he surprises me with a great one though. This year for mother's day he helped me weed my front garden. That's all I really wanted! (until at some point I realized I was the only one left outside weeding the garden, but that's another story).

Yaaaaa you finally said something....personally I think working out in the sun all day must cook the CM's brains or something?! Plus, I don't think people are as sweet or nice these days...they are all about their cell phones and themselves. OK my mini-rant over....:headache:

I absolutely loved  Tessa's dress and Sawyers top and shorts!!!! I bet they loved wearing them! Glad you got to see Ariel and Belle! I can't wait to take the kiddos next year to see them! How neat that you had a meeting with a Disser! I can't believe how "off" TGM was with the park that day...maybe Disney made last minute changes due to the ride opening which TGM didn't acct for???

Great update!! DD is looking soooo forward to seeing Playhouse Disney! She loved your pics of it and especially the video of Tessa dancing, we had to rewatch it many times!!! Tessa's blue Belle dress is beautiful!! Abby has been asking for one too, just need to learn more before I can make one!!! LOL Sawyers outfit was very cute, he looked adorable in it!! This will be Abby's first time on ToT this Oct, she is looking sooooo forward to it, she is asking if we can go their first so she can ride it...I hope she likes it...lol I am sorry that you had to deal with some more rude/unmagical CM's!!! I think you guys have had to deal with more than your fair share of them for a lifetime!!! Can't wait to read more!!

The sore leg story reminds me of something that happened with Tessa when she was 2 years old. She had fell and whined a little bit that her leg hurt one day. She kept limping on, even the next day, and I was worried she really hurt herself. So, I took her to the doctor. She had me carry her from the car because her leg hurt. We walked through the door to the doctor's office and...

She was jumping, she was skipping, she was twirling in circles, she was running around! The little faker was putting on a show for me just so I would take her to the doctor! She loved her doctor and wanted to see him! The doctor thought it was pretty funny, but I was so embarassed!

I have no idea what that gas mask scarecrow is all about! :confused3 It's in the "victory garden", so maybe it has something to do with WWII?

You forgot that I don't like Star Wars, either. ;) I'm glad you can overcome our differences and still be friends with me!

I was :rotfl2: when you said that at some point you realized you were the only one left outside weeding the garden!!!

Yes, they pushed me past the point of no return and I said "Just take the picture if you're going to be mean about it." I really told him! :rotfl:

I'm thinking they knew that was going to be the day AP holders could ride Toy Story Mania for a month or so. Sometimes TGM isn't as up-to-date as I thought he would be. The last I checked, he was still listing Tusker House at AK as a counter service restaurant, but it's been a buffet for years. Teresa and I even e-mailed him about it.

The shirt for Tessa's belle dress is a peasant top and CarlaC's simply sweet dress would work well for the jumper!

I hope Abby doesn't have a "death predicter" next to her on TOT!! ;)

Heather -

I just first of all have to say I  Tessa's Belle's dress. You are so creative that you can make up stuff yourself. One day maybe I will be able too. Anyway - when we saw Playhouse Disney (7 years ago) it was Bear and the Big Blue House only. I can't wait to go next year, even my 9 year old watches those shows, of course with his sister;) . I am so sorry that you keep getting these grumpy CM's, shame on them. I love the Muppet Show too but I also love the Muppet 3D at DHS too. I just found a Kermit shirt at Walmart the other day for $9, I love it. That's so nice you got to meet another DISer, cool:thumbsup2 . I hope I get to meet people from here. Great update and pictures as usual.

PS Glad to hear that Casey is feeling better, poor little girl.

"Look at her stuff, isn't it neat" :lmao:

"We are all going to die" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Yup that would have been one of those moments when I was supposed to be responsible and calm my scared child and I would have been to busy laughing!

LOVE  Tessa's dress BTW

Love, love, love the outfits again! What a great idea to mix Belle and Winnie the Pooh. sucking up to two characters at once. Brilliant!

Once again, you need to come to Miss Sarah for the WDW travel planning.

Here is the site you need for WDW entertainment:

http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

He updates the current times each Saturday or Sunday. If you are down there and have internet access, you can look it up also.

Off to serve dinner! :thumbsup2

i love the belle dress she is my favorite character and on my last trip after attempts of 4 previous trips i finally got to see the beauty and the beast show i just love it.
i am glad to hear your niece was okay i kept checking for updates because i was worried.
oh and as far as the cranky cms go we had the same problem on our last trip in november. yes i am a complainer and i also have the memory of an elephant says my hubby. so for your viewing pleasure in order of annoyance...
-mousekeeping leaving my hotel room door open not once but twice
- the front desk people refusing to apologize for it. even after i said to them all i am looking for is an "i'm sorry "
- no crib in the room at check in or at 2 am after my 4th phone call
-mk parking lot attendant with an attitude and a half. rather than folding a double stroller i figured it was easier to walk than take the tram. so i asked can i walk to the entrance. His response yes. me- how him oh i dont know h-e- double hockey sticks --with your feet. yes thats right he used a bad word and right in front of my kids and my mom too. i didnt think disneykins used bad words
- oh and plenty of photopass people who sighed when we asked for pics.
but i still love disney and the lovely waiter at tonys town square who overheard us talking about it and brought us free dessert and free tinkerbelle pins. see thats why i love disney only 18 days till i see the mouse again.

i didnt mean to make such a long post but i hope you dont mind i just wanted to sympathize about those cms. and yeah we l augh about it too.
i love your trip report. i'm done now i promise your kiddos are adorable ok really done;)
