Dork Wars Episode II: The Revenge of Joaquin - Nov. 12 / Jul. 13 PTR *UPDATE 6/30*

Sounds like a great line up! I've done Mickey's Backyard BBQ. It was ok, I much preferred Hoop Dee Doo for the entertainment (I found Mickey's to be very kid-oriented, so your nephew might love it!) but Mickey's had better food! Really nice buffet. The show included a lot of getting the little kids up to dance with characters and parents crowding around with video cameras so I didn't get to see a whole lot.

Mom was really excited to do the BBQ because we knew that the boys would love it. And who doesn't love the food offerings they have? I had thought about Hoop De Doo, but I didn't know how much fun the boys would have.

I love your choices! We've never done the BBQ, so I'm no help. I think you'll love the step-sisters antics. So much fun there. We're doing 'Ohana breakfast again too. Maddie adored it there!

We haven't done the 1900 Park Fare dinner in years, so I'm very much looking forward to the step-sisters. 'Ohana is Jason's favorite. Mine is the 1900 Park Fare breakfast, but that's because I'm all about lots and lots of choices. Hahaha!

Great ADRs! Be Our Guest was really good for lunch and my sister went there for her birthday dinner and she loved it then too! And Via Napoli is always a good choice. :thumbsup2

I really wanted to do a dinner at Be Our Guest, and we're trying to fit a lunch in as well.

Via Napoli is always a good choice. So yummy.

A little side note too? I'm going to San Diego April 22nd for business. I'll be at our corporate offices on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th. Well.....we know that San Diego is close to.....Anaheim! So, I decided to take an extra day and go up to go to Disneyland! I'm so stoked. My Dad is coming for the weekend and so is my brother Jason. I'm super excited!

How super exciting!!!!

We'll be doing Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, which I'm sure the boys will love. Anyone have any experience with it? We've never done it.

No help here but can't wait to hear what you think!

Raglan Road

I have been here once and really loved it!! Good choice!!

Biergarten

Who can resist? Yeah....we can't.

:lmao: Your reviews made me try this one!! Another great choice!!!

Be Our Guest

I can't wait. I got this at exactly 180 days out!

So jealous!!! :cool2:

Boma

I keep saying we need to get back there!! It was so good!! Loved Boma!!

Sci Fi Dine In

We think that the boys are going to absolutely love this one. And who can say no to a shake and a burger? Not this girl!

No one in my family can turn down a burger either!! This is one of our favorites due to the atmosphere! The boys should love this one!! :thumbsup2

Via Napoli

Oh my goodness this place is so divine!!!!

Ohana for breakfast

This was Jason's request. It's a favorite of his. And I can't say no to a breakfast buffet.

This is Chris' favorite and he requests it...and he is 19!! I really like this breakfast too though so no complaints!!

1900 Park Fare for dinner

This is the only one on your list that we have tried and weren't thrilled with! It could have been an off night but it was a bad enough off night that it is hard to conceive going back! :sad2: The characters were great though!!!

What do you guys think? ;)

I think you have some awesome plans!!!! And now I am extremely hungry!!!!

Great ADRS!! We are like super duper excited for Via Napoli and Ohana (we are doing dinner though).. I think the boys will love Sci Fi, we eat there every trip, it's a little tradition with my brothers, we have a lot of fun! Don't you just wanna eat a every Disney restuarant!?!? :lmao:

PS, I don't know if I missed something but did you still go to Italy? If so how was it ahhhh?? :goodvibes

I am so looking forward to our trip. Because of my eye issues I am again not able to fly so no California trip for me..... I need a big time disney fix for sure...... way too long away.......:sad::sad: July can't get here fast enough.

Thanks! I put so much thought into those dining plans. :rotfl2:

I do want to eat at every Disney restaurant! It's so hard sometimes to narrow it down in the end.

I did go to Italy yes. I was there in March. It was absolutely beautiful! I'll post some pictures on this thread for everyone.

Ou definitely need a Disney fix! You've been through so much lately, I think it's much deserved.

So in my last update, I gave you guys a run down of our table service plans. I worked on those diligently and made them exactly 180 days out. The nice thing is that our family is very flexible, so everyone just basically left me to my own devices. Hehehe.

Now, I'm going to preface the counter service plans by saying that these generally aren't exactly written in stone. It's more of a guideline. This is an area that's open, and if we feel like going with something different, we'll go with it. But this is the rough outline. I won't reveal what days though, that will go in the itinerary. I'm including snack stops as well, because hello! Those are extremely important!

Hollywood Studios Stops -

Toy Story Pizza Planet - This is mostly for the littles on the trip.

Starring Rolls - Um, can anyone say CUPCAKE BREAK?!?!?!

Sorry, had to share a picture of the cupcake. Who cares about the facade!?

Rosie's / Fairfax Fare - Since these are in the same area, we figured we'd all get to choose where we want to eat and them come together at the same table. I'm so clever.

Animal Kingdom Stops -

Flame Tree Barbecue - There's a caveat to this. It is July in Florida. I don't know that we'll want to sit outside to eat. And we don't want Joaquin to do this.....

Because he will....oh yes he will.

Restaurantasaurus - A good ol' INDOOR standby....

Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery - CUPCAKE BREAK!!!!

Yak and Yeti CS - Another good option. :)

Yes yes, this is a picture of the table service restaurant. But you get the gist.

Epcot Stops -

Kaki Gori stand - I will have it this time.

La Cantina - Because they have epic nachos. If you're a nacho eater, get thyself there!

Kringla Bakery - SCHOOL BREAD BREAK!!!

Magic Kingdom Stops -

Cosmic Ray's - It's a tried and true standby.

The Lunching Pad - SWEET CREAM CHEESE PRETZEL BREAK! (hahaha)

Now...this picture is a jalapeno pretzel. And we will be consuming those too. But again.....you get the gist. ;)

Be Our Guest - Even though we'll be having a dinner, I'd really like to have a lunch here as well.

Other stops:

Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon

Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD

Lottawatta Lodge at Blizzard Beach

All right everyone....fire away and let me know your thoughts. ;)

Everything sounds really good! I'm drooling over the cupcakes a little (slurp!) and want a sweet cream cheese pretzel right now!
I also want to eat at BOG for lunch AND dinner hehee, get the maximum experience out of it.

Sounds great! We're doing both lunch and dinner at BoG. Maddie is dying to go there, and frankly so am I!

I've been wanting to try the Kaki Gori too. I never seem to be hungry in WS though. :confused3

MMMM I am so looking forward to all of it. Great choices especially the cup cakes.:goodvibes

I am so ready for cupcake epicness. Hahaha!

I'm excited to try BOG for both lunch and dinner. I have to be prepared for the lunch crowds though. I've seen pictures recently and apparently it gets insane!

I am too! So excited.

Often, I'm not hungry in WS because I consume so much food in one location. Haha. Normally a restaurant.

Great pics! :)

Thanks!

Finally! I have to start getting the day by day plans down for you all. Because time....it is a'slipping away.

Soooooooo........here we go!

This day will be a partial travel day for some. Mom and Dad will be there already, will have been for two days. Jason, Jeni, Gavin, Joaquin, and myself will be arriving.

Our flight departs at 6:45am. Whew. That's early y'all. But....the earlier we depart, the earlier we can arrive. Our flight lands at 10:30ish, and Mom and Dad will be there to pick us up.

After we get settled, we will be going to Hollywood Studios! And at that point, I know we are going to have to eat.

Toy Story Pizza Planet will be the stop!

The boys are going to love this for sure. And pizza's always a good standby.

And.....well....there will have to be a cupcake stop along the way. Just saying.

Because of timing, we're not going to try to accomplish tons here. What I have down is:

Beauty and the Beast.

I'm sorry, but that picture I got of Cogsworth just cracks me up. "And kick...and kick....and kick....."

Tower of Terror.

Gavin insists that this is his favorite. Jeni and I both agree we'll see if he starts screaming. He's all pomp and circumstance right now. Haha!

Disney Junior

The boys absolutely adore Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We'll be sure to hang out and try to get some meet and greets done as well.

Muppetvision

"With a glorious three hour finale that celebrates all nations, but mostly America!"

Star Tours

After our afternoon at Hollywood Studios, we'll head back to relax for a little while, before we head to Mickey's Backyard Barbecue!

I'm excited for this because we've never done it before, and I think the boys will have a really good time.

And that's it for our first day!

Up Next: Day 2 plans.

Woo hoo! Update! Love your plans and I'm so happy you are still updating! :thumbsup2 Now I'm heading over to your new TR!

This is our first FULL day in the parks.

Now, when I plan park days I use Touring Plans to get the best use of our time. So we don't always follow a logical format. Like some people like to visit Epcot first, some the Magic Kingdom. I don't operate that way normally, I like to go where I think the crowds will be lowest. And on this length of trip, we're getting to each park at least twice, so all is good. :thumbsup2

On this day....

Yay! Animal Kingdom. A good place to start I think. Jeni's favorite, and the boys will enjoy for sure.

Ugh...people always messin' up my shots!

Our to do's on this day?

Expedition Everest. DUH!

Now, the serious question......would you like this guy to make a reappearance on this trip?

I'm hoping that Joaquin hits the 44" height requirement. I'm pretty sure he's basically there.

Then.....

Dinosaur!

Yes....the children will be going on this ride....no.....we will not be warning them. :lmao:

It's Tough to Be a Bug

Finding Nemo the Musical

In the big blue world!!!!

Triceratop Spin

Okay...now I'm losing my mind because I swear I had pics of the littles on that ride!

AHA!

And we're hoping to do some meet and greets. Specifically Russell and Dug, and Goofy and Pluto. I have no pictures of that, because well....we typically don't meet characters.

I'm hoping we can get that all done in a reasonable amount of time, so we can go back for an afternoon swim.

Dinner is at 6:45pm at Raglan Road!

I'm excited about that one, because it will be a first for everyone except me.

And that's day two!

I vote yes please for the return of the Yeti!
Wonderful AK plans. Raglan Road makes my short list every year... but hasn't made the cut since 2007 for one reason or another. I really need to get back there! Great atmosphere!
