DS' jet lag is pretty bad! :p I'm trying my best to get him back on our schedule but his body just hasn't caught up yet. Another few days and he'll be fine.

Last night we all went to see Spiderman 2 at the movies - everyone enjoyed it. I'm not even thinking about the carbs in the popcorn! :p

Today, DH DS & I went out for breakfast and I was on plan. I ate half my omelette and bacon and brought the other half home for tomorrow. Then we stopped by the drivers' exam site so DS could check out the parallel parking part of the course. He'll need some more work on that one! :teeth:

I'm working on my BMR today and have made a lot of progress. I still would like to spend another 3-4 hours on it today. I'm feeling better and better about it now. I just needed some time to sift through my thoughts and get it organized in my head.

TOM has arrived - oh joy! :mad: My back is killing me and I have a headache - I'm hoping the Aleve kicks in SOON! I'm feeling crabby, can you tell??

I'm at work and have been plugging away on the BMR. I've made significant progress but will have to hustle to finish by close of business tomorrow. No journals for me today or tomorrow - I miss you guys!!! :( I'll be around as soon as this report is finished.

My eating and exercise plans fell apart last night - oh well. Moving on....

Today I have one and only one goal - finish the BMR! I did get up early and throw a roast into the crockpot so at least we'll have that for dinner. :p

THE BMR IS FINISHED!!

Happy me!!! I sent it on to my boss for review. I'm sure there will be some tweaking needed but the worst is over!! YAY!!

Today is the first day of the rest of my life!! The report is finished and now it's time to return my energies to taking good care of me! I've let the food and exercise slide while I was doing this report but now I must return to taking good care of me - because I am worth it!! I can do more for everyone else if I am in the best shape I can be.

Water (& decaf green tea) so far today = 48 oz.

8:30 AM - apple with peanut butter, meds & vitamins

10 AM - 12 oz decaf mandarin orange green tea, 1 splenda packet

10:45 AM - 1 string cheese
- I'm feeling thinner - could be my monthly whoosh but I'll take it!

12:30 PM - 1/2 lb sirloin burger w/ secret sauce

2 PM - Atkins Morning Start bar (creamy cinnamon bun)

5 PM - 3 oz leftover roast beef, 2 Dove dark chocolates

9:30 PM - 1/2 C low-carb ice cream, handful of roasted peanuts

I'm glad to hear you are going back to concentrating on you. Remember to do something nice for yourself today to celebrate being over the BMR hurdle! :)

I'm so proud of you - look at what you've accomplished!

(now, take a great big deep breath, because I'm sure you did such a great job that more of the same is coming your way.)

Parallel parking - OK, this is strange but very effective. You need friends and family members. Friends and family members position themselves where the cones/cars would be. People are taller than cones/cars and easier to see... Roll the windows down and coach so DS can hear you. (yes be prepared to get out of the way if necessary) Replace the people with cones/cars when he's confident. This worked for me - aced it on my drivers exam.

I did it!! I had a cheat free day yesterday!!! FINALLY!!! :teeth: I didn't tally up the carb count but I made good choices and passed up oh-so-many junky foods!!! I spent a day RIDING on the healthy living wagon instead of waving as it went by me! :hyper:

We scheduled DS' driving test - he has 2 weeks to master parallel parking. Thanks for the great idea, Laurie!!

I think I'll try for another cheat free day today! I've worn a pair of pants that are a bit snug to remind me of why I should watch what goes in my mouth.

12:45 PM - 1/2 lb sirloin burger w/ mayo

3:30 PM - pineapple yogurt (I'm guessing 20 carbs)

7 PM - 2 oz roast beef, 1 string cheese

9:30 PM - 1 C lc ice cream, handful of peanuts, handful of chips :rolleyes:
- What is it about late nights?? I was tired & feeling sorry for myself - there was really no need to eat this stuff.

Congratulations on the Cheat Free Day. You are an amazing woman. I have a confession to make. I can't parrallel park. I passesd the test, and haven't done it since. Everywhere I go, there are parking structures. I'd rather pay for parking than make a ffol of my self trying to PP.

Parallel parking is the pits. I did pretty good on it with my exam but I hate to do it. Thank Goodness I live in an area with driveways!

Congratulations on being cheat free yesterday!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I was on the wagon with you until about 9:30 last night and then :space: I was taken from the wagon by unknown forces who made me eat Karmel Sutra Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream. I mean they were making me Eat and eat and eat even though I protested as much as I could ::yes::
