Hi Doe,

I'm glad your meeting went well. I'm sure that the meeting tomorrow will be just as successful. You have said yourself that you have a tendency to procrastinate. Maybe these meetings are a blessing. You can't procrastinate, and hopefully the big stressful push won't be necessary. Just a thought.

Take care of yourself.
Beth

Hi Doe,

Just checking in on you before the weekend. I wanted to wish you a fabulously relaxing weekend! ::yes::

Jodi

Beth, you are so right! I DO tend to procrastinate or to just get overwhelmed and avoid the work. Can't do that now so I'm making progress a lot faster. Yes, it's stressful, but it will be over sooner. I'm reminded of Erin's post in her journal a few days back that talked about how procrastination robs us of peace and it is true for me. These meetings are a blessing and I'm feeling tired but proud of what I'm accomplishing, instead of tired and beating myself up for not getting more done.

It's a new month! Not sure where September went. :p Might be a good time for a new beginning, a recommitment to being a little more healthy. I think I'll keep my goals simple. Of course I'll be taking my meds and drinking lots of water - don't even need to make those goals anymore because they happen automatically. I'm going to aim for something so simple. Here's my goal for October - just one:

WALK FOR 5 MINUTES EVERY DAY IN OCTOBER

That's it. Just take 5 minutes out of my busy day and stroll outside or do laps inside at work or do WATP at home if the weather's bad. No excuses. No matter how tired I am, I can certainly make 5 minutes to walk.

Goals don't get much simpler than that! :sunny:

I like your goal!

I also tend to procrastinate like you. Currently I need to work on my speech for the wedding on Sunday - I haven't even started this yet. I'm hoping I'll get it done tonight. ::yes::

Good morning, Doreen.:sunny: Are you doing the Friday Happy Dance yet? No, better wait until after today's meeting is over--then you can ask the big bosses to dance with you!:p :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

What are your plans for the weekend? I hope you'll have some time to relax and unwind. I love your goal for October; simple is good. ::yes::

Wish we could sit down over lunch and just chat together.:hyper2:

Take care, WISH-sis,
Erin

I'm pleased to announce that my goal-setting yesterday resulted in a 15 minute walk with the puppy and DH last evening! It was a busy night and I know I would have made excuses without that simple 5 minute goal. :sunny:

After the walk, DH and I went to see the marching band's field show - looked pretty good! We left before the football game started! :p I invited a friend of mine (also there to see the band but NOT the football game) to come back to our house. We spent a couple hours chatting - very nice!

Today I woke up feeling anxious over all the SHOULDS but quickly turned to God in prayer - it helps! DH is helping his father today and the kids have a band festival this evening. I, on the other hand, have NOTHING on my schedule!! :teeth: :hyper: :teeth: Tomorrow looks blissfully empty as well! I do need to pack for our trip next weekend, clean, do laundry, etc. but no outside obligations. There will be plenty of time for me this weekend!

I'm feeling better about work. The daily meetings are helping me to get things done and keep the assignments small and manageable. I'm getting lots of help and support from my boss. I'm not feeling overwhelmed anymore as long as I focus on the next baby step.

Maybe I'll be ready for some healthy eating soon! ::yes:: With this time over the weekend, I may cook some low-carb stuff so I'll have it on hand for next week.

I so envy you.....going back to Disney - I have more than a year to wait! :) You deserve it though::yes::

Good morning Doe,

Sounds like you have a wonderfully relaxing weekend in store. Plus, in 6 days you and DH will be spending time with the ::MickeyMo. I bet this will be a wonderful week for you!::yes:: :teeth:

Great job getting your walk in yesterday!

Have a great weekend!

Tracy:wave2:

Oh Doreen, it sounds as though you're having a wonderful start to the weekend, and I'm glad you'll have some Doe Time!

How do you feel about packing? I swear, even if I'm looking forward to the trip/vacation more than anything in the world, I always DREAD the packing! :crazy2: I always grumble about it and end up yelling things like, "WHY ARE WE GOING ON THIS STUPID TRIP ANYWAY?!!!" Dh just ingnores me--as well he should. :charac2:

Have a lovely weekend, Doreen!:flower:

:wave2: Hi, dear WISH-sis. You know how much I appreciate you in my life, don't you? Thanks for the PM and for all the love you send to me. What a blessing to have you as a friend.

Are you enjoying your weekend? It sounds like you had a chance to have a little time to yourself. That's gotta feel good.

Hey, where were you yesterday? I had to eat my cheesecake all by myself!:p

6 Days and counting, girlfriend! Soon you and DH will be next to ::MickeyMo and ::MinnieMo !

Erin

I managed to walk last evening - that means I've met my modest exercise goal 2 days in a row! I've gotta keep it going! The puppy didn't want to walk last evening so I went without her and walked 15 minutes around the neighborhood.

Today I had a late brunch of fried chicken! :p That's what sounded good to the kids and I. :teeth: It's as close to a low-carb meal as I've come for a while.

Today is another relaxing one. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Mmmmmm Doreen...a brunch of fried chicken sounds yummy to me too--and I've been a vegetarian for 23 years!!! :p

Have another wonderful, relaxing day! :sunny:

Glad you are enjoying your relaxing day. Don't worry about the chicken, that is what we had for brunch too!;)

I made it to work, but it was tough getting out of bed this morning. :p I could have easily slept in! Yesterday (Sunday) I slept until 9:30 AM! It was wonderful! :sunny:

The week looks pretty calm - just work during the day and not much going on in the evenings. Things should finally be slowing down, now that DD's tennis season is over.

I forgot to walk yesterday but I'll walk twice today. Habits are hard to create but I'm going to perservere!

Food - no promises. I'm deep in the D-Zone. I'm focused on work and my 5 minute walks and getting ready for our weekend trip.

Here's some extra :sunny: to help you through the darkness of the DZone, honey.:sunny: You can make it!:sunny: It should be a nice day for your 10 minute walk--the fresh air and sunshine will do you good. Just think, only a few more days 'til you're in Florida!

How are things going for you and your family? Did DS start his new job? If so, what does he think of it?

I hope that you're able to :boat: through the next week.

 ,
Erin

Hi Doe!

Heres hoping that your work week :moped: by so you can get to ::MickeyMo and ::MinnieMo !!!

I love your October goal! I am sure it will inspire you to tackle more when you are ready. You have much too much on your plate right now to contemplate anything else. ::yes::

Hope your Monday is :sunny: !

Hi Doe,

I am sending :wizard: to help you through DZONE. It hardly seems fair that TOM should be around for your trip to WDW. Keep :drinking: and you'll do ok, sweetie. When things get tough, remember that WDW is waiting for you.
Have a restful evening,
Beth

Hi Doe,
I'm sending some extra pixie dust too to help you get through the D-Zone :wizard: . Before you know it, you will be walking down Main Street :D . Hope you have a wonderful evening :wave2: .

Thank you all for your special brand of love and support. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I DID get my walk in last evening. DS and puppy and I drove out to a local park that is in the country and usually quiet. It was a good time for DS and I to talk uninterrupted. We walked for about 30 minutes, so I think I made up for missing Sunday's walk. :p

Today will be filled with work! My project needs to get finished and soon!

I've been neglecting journals and I've been trying to catch up by doing a few journals each day. Please be patient with me.

I did manage to bring a ham sandwich and an apple to work - some relatively healthy food, considering the alternative of the EVM. :p

Onward I go, into the day! :sunny:
